There's no such thing as a sovereign nation - borders are no longer respected by the west!! |
Now they train Afrricans at the world bank/imf/goldman sachs - and then send them back to africa to do the damage!! |
naira = arian? |
kcjazz:Hahaha . . . .Gaddafi killed Sankara? Your obviously no historian . . . . Check your facts!! |
I'm totally amazed by this speech - given the fact that it was made in 1987 and is 100% accurate. Africa has had some great leaders - that were 'cut down' for trying to do the right thing. BENGHAZI, Libya (AP) — Libya's transitional leader declared his country's liberation on Sunday, three days after the hated dictator Moammar Gadhafi was captured and killed. He called on Libyans to show "patience, honesty and tolerance" and eschew hatred as they embark on rebuilding the country at the end of an 8-month civil war. The transitional government leader Mustafa Abdul-Jalil set out a vision for the post-Gadhafi future with an Islamist tint, saying that Islamic Sharia law would be the "basic source" of legislation in the country and that existing laws that contradict the teachings of Islam would be nullified. In a gesture that showed his own piety, he urged Libyans not to express their joy by firing in the air, but rather to chant "Allahu Akbar," or God is Great. He then stepped aside and knelt to offer a brief prayer of thanks. "This revolution was looked after by God to achieve victory," he told the crowd at the declaration ceremony in the eastern city of Benghazi, the birthplace of the uprising against Gadhafi began. He thanked those who fell in the fight against Gadhafi's forces. "This revolution began peacefully to demand the minimum of legitimate rights, but it was met by excessive violence." Abdul-Jalil said new banks would be set up to follow the Islamic banking system, which bans charging interest. For the time being, he said interest would be canceled from any personal loans already taken out less than 10,000 Libyan dinars (about $7,500). He also announced that all military personnel and civilians who have taken part in the fight against Gadhafi would be promoted to the rank above their existing one. He said a package of perks would later be announced for all fighters. "Thank You, thank you to the fighters who achieved victory, both civilians and military," he said. He also paid tribute to the Gulf Cooperation Council, a six-nation alliance led by Saudi Arabia, The Arab League and the European Union. NATO, which aided the anti-Gadhafi fighters with airstrikes, performed its task with "efficiency and professionalism." http://news.yahoo.com/libyas-transitional-leader-declares-liberation-155513082.html Also read the comments under the article and see what Americans and others are saying. Hehe, The Saga has just begun. More to come. Zero step forward, 3 steps backwards. Meet the New boss, worse than the Old boss. I dey laffu laffu ooooo. |
Ok - no problem. Tunisia are voting and the same thing is happening - Islamist parties are popular amongst the people. Sectarian violence is ongoing in Egypt - no doubt when they get around to holding elections I'm sure it will be an Islamic party that takes over. Personally, i dont think religion and politics is a good combination - I prefer secular states. But fcu.k it - let them have what they want - It will only lead to a further supression of their freedoms. |
A Democratic Islamic Republic - Smh - ![]() Basically, a ayotolah will take over for another 42 years. |
Damn. . . . have not watch the news at all today. Whats the world coming too? Maybe this is karma - abi those turks are terrorising the kurds at the moment. |
Did Gaddafi actually engage in any wars as an army officer? |
bebe2:LOL. . . .LOL . . . ![]() To summarise - stay in the west. bebe2:LOL, I have 2 kids if you must know. 1 boy, 1 girl. And the quality of life they enjoy is second to none!! (and their made for life) But if your desperate to drink my Fluid let me know. I will fill up your mouth in a single expulsion - ![]() See frustration, They say the truth hurts!!! Please, either go and tidy up your house - or go and book your flight back to naija. LOL, |
bebe2:Wow . . . See frustration. Your trapped and have come here to explain your predicament. You have stated that both yourself and your mother are inept parents - hence the need for western doctors to arrive on your doorstep within 2 minutes of you almost killing one of your children. And then the household chores your having difficulties with. But I'm the frustarted one!!! If you had an insight into the life I enjoy you would be immediately struck with jealousy. But I do feel for peasants like you - the proliteriate!!! I've stated my own and have been honest - for your kids sake stay in the West until your adequately equiped to raise a child in Naija. And hopefully they will grow up and enjoy greater freedoms than you. I pity you - i really do. I sugget you exit NL and go and tidy up your house!!! But please - dont sit down to educate them. From your backward reasoning and grammar its clear your an illiterate. Leave their education to the 'West'. |
I HAVE IT ON GOOD AUTHORITY THAT GEJ WILL STRAP A SUICIDE VEST TO HIMSELF IN ORDER TO KILL THE QUEEN |
bebe2:You have 4 kids - and are on maternity? Another one on the way? And probably picking up maternity pay, child benefit etc I'm glad your not one of my employee's - you'd have cost me a fortune!!! Anyway, put your kids first above your selfish needs. If you miss your family - go on holiday to visit them - now would actually be a good time since you dont need to go to work everyday. Your kids depending on the Maybe consider exiting after the last born reaches university level - thats even if you can afford to send your kids to university in this day and age!!! |
To jump on a plane and fly back to naija does not equate to giving up your citizenship. If it doesn't work out, you can fly back to the west anytime. Unless your living there illegally. Where are the childrens father? Does he not work? Your obviously on benefits - and are worried about giving them up to move back to naija. If you have skills and a decent education you will be ok - otherwise your jumping from the frying pan into the fire. Few people will be prepared to carry you in naija - unlike the 'West' where taxpayers are forced to carry you. I know things are getting hard for people on the dole in the west - inflation is taking effect. But beggars cant be choosers - you people need to learn how to adjust and embrace poverty. Poverty in the 'West' is better for your children - at least the state will take care of the school fee's - up to secondary school level. In naija, 4 lots of school fee's every term is not easy. |
Libyan money - Now you see it - now you dont!!! The 'Nato' forces are to be repaid. Dont forget, they were dropping $500,000 bombs from day one!!! They have started already publicising the costs to their nations. And then the rebuilding - all contracts to go to the main Nato players - obviously at inflated costs. (Nothing for China) The infrastructure that was deliberately bombed all needs to be rebuilt - the costs will run into the hundreds of billions. Libya - in the blink of the eye has gone from being rich to being poor. Mark my words - within months it will become apparent that Libya wealth has been stolen by the west and the people of Libya can look forward to debt servitude. The Libyans have enslaved themselves with the help of Nato. |
Let the NTC get ra.ped - I dont care anymore for Libya and its perverse people. Let the 'West' ra.pre the NTC and Libya multiple times with no condom and no lubrication. Fcu.k the NTC. People of Libya -There is a saying that goes something like this: Be careful for what you wish for - because you might just get it. Give it 3 months and Libyans will be praying that Gaddafi rises from the dead and comes to their aid. |
. . . .just past the half way point of bobby's presentation. Now he's getting into the subject matter. The dudes done years of research and spent like forever at college. I haven't actually listened to him for over a year - thought he was clever but a bit wacko. He did some good lectures with this dude called 'Brother Panic' - they are all 'Metaphysical Masters' who have an insight into the spiritual world and this devilish place called earth. My views changed somewhat - he knows his stuff. (Your names showing up in my youtube account as a favourite of the video poster) |
So we continue to waste public funds on pilgrameges? Is it that the Christian Governor is trying to out do previous Muslim Governors? We cant aford to send pilgrims to Mecca or Rome - when people are starving in Nigeria. Anyway, out of the 1600, i'm sure 1000 will abscond once they enter europe. |
About 1,600 Christians from Kaduna State are to perform this year's pilgrimage to the Holy Land, the executive secretary of the State Christian Welfare Board, Reverend Joseph Jatau Yari has said. Yari disclosed this while briefing journalists yesterday on the level of preparedness on the part of the board to ensure a successful exercise this year, even as he assured that the board was committed and putting all the necessary measures in place that would ensure a hitch-free exercise. He, however, urged all intending pilgrims who have indicated interest through the collection of forms to fill them appropriately and return same in good time for onward processing. However, he said, "Those who are under the age of 30 and pregnant women will not be allowed to perform the pilgrimage, except in rare cases." He added that only those who are 50 years and above would be allowed to travel to Rome or Greece. According to him, the decision was consequent upon the 2010 experience in which three persons within that age bracket absconded. Part of the requirements for qualification, he said, was the presentation of an indigene's form (photocopy), a medical certificate, an e-passport, declaration of age or birth certificate and a letter of permission, especially for intending female pilgrims. According to the executive secretary, "The holy pilgrimage is a spiritual exercise and not a business trip or a site seeing exercise. It is an opportunity to pray for those attending and their families, the state and country in general. " Yari said the commencement date of the airlift would be made known in due course, but urged all the intending pilgrims to make themselves available for the screening exercise, both at their respective local government areas and that to be conducted by the board, which is scheduled from October 26 to 28, 2011. http://allafrica.com/stories/201110220129.html |
A single currency has totally bleeped eurrope. This plan needs to be shelved. Furthermore, I wouldn't advise any other West African country to have anything to do with Nigeria. Where we are heading is a very bleak place. |
The commencement of the single currency regime in West Africa initially set for 2003 had been postponed three times owing to the inability of member countries to attain the convergence level required for its introduction by 2015. IFEANYI ONUBA examines the preparedness of member countries for the monetary union. On June 22, 2010, the Heads of State and Government of the West Africa Monetary Zone held a meeting in Abuja, where a decision was taken to postpone the commencement date of the single currency regime for the region till January 2015. The decision was sequel to the adoption of a report, which had indicated that countries within the sub- region had not sufficiently converged to commence the introduction of the regime. The idea behind the single currency, initiated by the West African Monetary Zone, is to promote economic integration and trade in the sub-region. However, a brief review of the WAMZ countries, seven months after that meeting, indicated that the overall compliance with the macroeconomic convergence criteria, had deteriorated from three primary criteria as at end December 2009, to two as at 2010. The convergence criteria set for the region included single digit inflation rate, central bank financing of government deficit, government budget deficit of five per cent Gross Domestic Product and foreign exchange reserves in three months of imports. For instance, most countries within the region, including Nigeria, missed the single digit inflation target as well as the fiscal deficit criteria. Nigeria’s Minister of State for Finance, Hajiya Yabawa Wabi, gave credence to this while declaring open the 30th meeting of the technical committee of the WAMZ on Monday in Abuja. She said that the failure of some countries within the West African sub-region to meet the convergence criteria had threatened the proposed take-off of the single currency regime for the sub-region. The minister pointed out that Ghana and Gambia had met three of the primary criteria. However, Guinea, she said, experienced its worst performance since December 2005, as it did not meet any criterion in 2009. For Nigeria, Wabi said the country sustained its performance by maintaining three criteria as at June 2010, while Sierra Leone met only one criterion at the end of the 2009 period. To this end, the minister said that the committee would ponder on the macroeconomic development, structure of WAMZ institutions, payment system within the sub-region as well as the harmonisation of trade and statistical problems with a view to coming out with a blueprint that would enable member countries to meet these criteria. She said, “This meeting is very crucial as we need to look at issues critically. The challenges we have just gone through bring to the fore the urgent need for more collective efforts towards the actualisation of the new date for the monetary union. “The single digit inflation rate and fiscal deficit, excluding grants, criteria were missed. I need to state here that improving and sustaining performance on the convergence scale will require member countries to further strengthen fiscal performance through exploring innovative ways of enhancing domestic revenue mobilisation and rationalising expenditures. “In this regard, injecting efficiency into tax administration, reforming the tax structure and broadening the tax base will be essential. Let me also add that expenditure rationalisation and efficiency will be needed, not only to lower the fiscal deficit, but also to make government expenditure more effective and productive.” But the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Lamido Sanusi, said he was confident that the convergence criteria would be met by countries within the region before 2015. Sanusi, while presiding over the meeting of the Committee of Central Bank Governors within the sub-region on Thursday admitted the decline but said that the threats would be addressed and solutions provided before the end of the week. The apex bank boss, who is also the Chairman of the Committee of Central Bank Governors, noted that the economic performance in the sub-region was strong with real GDP growth rate averaging 7.2 per cent for 2010. http://news.punchng.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=1573%3Asingle-currency-convergence-criteria-barrier-to-economic-integration-in-west-africa&Itemid=543 |
