"you have to be corrupt to get ahead anywhere in the world, and im not doubting that" And you said your father is a politician? No wonder you think the way you do - Please do not follow in your fathers footsteps for Nigeria's sake! |

Death penalty for China official China has sentenced the former head of the State Food and Drug Administration to death after he was convicted of corruption, state media has reported. Zheng Xiaoyu was convicted on charges of taking bribes and of dereliction of duty, Xinhua news agency reported. http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/6699441.stm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Would such policies bring about a change in the attitudes of our leaders towards public funds? |
A referendum is the only way to avoiid Nigeria breaking up due to civil war. If Nigerians vote for the country to remain together then so be it. Its a democratic procedure. |

Aparently he is at Oxford University doing some course so he shouldn't be that hard to track down. The Student Union Bar is normally a good starting point. ![]() If you have experience in that field why not submit your details to the Federal Government? Can you give some examples of the measures you would implement? What area do you feel you could make an impact? And how woulld you go about it? What resources would you need to be effective? And how long would it take before visible change is noticed? |

Personally, i think: 2,3,5,6 = Yes 1 and 4 = undecided |
Without meaning to sound too controversial I'll pose some questions: 1) Could the number of kids Nigerians and other ethnic minority families have be a factor in how the children turn out? Yes/No 2) Does having a large family make it more difficult to raise children and care for them properly? Yes/No 3) Does discrimination in the workplace mean Nigerian/Ethnic minority families have to work longer and harder shifts which in turn means they have less time to commit to their children? Yes/No 4) Does the environment children are raised in have an effect in how they turn out? Yes/No 5) Is what children see on the TV and hear in the playground a more powerful influence on them than what their parents teach them. Yes/No 6) Have western governments through policies and laws contributed to the problem by making it a crime to discipline children? Yes/No |
I dont think Ghana can yet boast of being 'Richer' than Nigeria. I dont think that will ever happen - But they are making good progress. |
I would say that Nigeria must contain the 'Richest Indivduals' in West Africa (Particulary ex and serving government and military officials) Possibly even the richest group of individuals in Africa are Nigerian. However, the money they posses and the assets they are own not necesarily in circulation within the boundaries of Nigeria or in the Nigerian economy. |

London's own I really dont understand. Its like all the media attention has actually fuelled it rather than reverse the trend. 20 Years ago it was all about 'Yardie Gangsters (Jamaicans) and their Killings" Today its about 9/10/11 year old's killing kids and also adults. Each day these Killers seem to be younger and younger. They are even r.a.p.i.n.g girls at that age!! I think over the last 20 years London has become overpopulated and turned into more of a 'Ghetto'. This may be part of the problem. |
His tongue was cut out to patch up his leaking liver, And then his prick was cut off and used to replace his tongue Propagandist - The guy is dead - Believe nothing else! ![]() |
How can parents monitor their children around the clock - when normally they both have to work long hours just to survive in the west? We shouldn't automatically blame the parents. Yes they are responsible for instilling good values but peer pressure is also influencing their children especially when they enter secondary school. The social environment also comes into the equation and if parents decide to take up residence in an undesirable environment, then the upbringing of their children becomes a lot more difficult. |
"But a source said that the lobby team of the oil majors have made it clear that they might divest from Nigeria if government fails to appoint a minister they would be disposed to as the head of the oil industry" Jonathan should call their bluff - If they want out of Nigeria they should go. Oil companies do not control the government - It should be the other way around. “Notable people who want things done correctly are reaching out to the Acting President. It is better we get things right this time, rather than allow undue interests take control of critical sectors. It is very important,” another source said" I think the view of these Notable people reflect the views of Nigerians as whole. |
