Pastor: If you are fellowshipping with us for the first time in this church, "The New life Church", You are so special to us. The whole church will like to know your name.

New comer: I'm Dele Ogbeche. (church...shouts and cheers).

Pastor: Halleluyah!

Church: Amen.

Pastor: Mr. Dele Ogbeche, do you have any prayer request you want the chuch to pray for you?

Ogbeche: Yes sir. The church should help me pray that God should promote my business in this church more than how He promoted it in my former church.

Church:AAAAAMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNN.

Pastor: Church, I will want you to use the whole of your strength to pray this prayer for him that "Oh Lord, promote this Mr. Ogbeche's business in this church" (speaks in tongues ...masokokokokole sebede) Thus saith the Lord, Listen, that your business shall sell in this church more than where you are coming from in thousand/million folds.

Church/Ogbeche: AAAAAAAAAMMMMMM
MMMEEEEEEEEENNNNNN

Pastor: Mr. Ogbeche, open your eyes. You left your former church because the business was not selling very well abi?

Ogbeche: Yes sir. Actually it was selling at first because the pastor had like 7 children and the children started dying one by one and they were buying the casket they use to burry them from me. Likewise, the church members started dying small small so my business was growing because they were all buying the casket from me. By the grace of God sir, I make casket.

Pastor: Mr. Ogbeche, abi ko fe da fun yin ni? Ori e buru ni? Please stand up. Church, you will pray, oh Lord destroy Mr. Ogbeche's life permanently if he refused to leave this church immediately...

Dear Lagosian,

Yorubas are very decent and reasonable people. No tribe
will entertain on their land what is going on in Lagos.
We all condemn the statement of OBA AKIOLU. But let ask
ourselves one important question, WHY IS OBA AKIOLU
ANGRY WITH IGBOS?
My answers are:
1. I WILL ELEVATE EZE NDIGBO TO THE STATUS OF OBA
OF LAGOS - JIMI AGBAJE.
2. IGBO WILL DETERMINE WHO RULES LAGOS- IFEANYI
UBAH
3. LAGOS IS NO MAN'S LAND.- IFEANYI UBAH DURING TAN
CAMPAIGN.
4. IGBO DEVELOPED AND CONTROL LAGOS- JIMI AGBAJE
DURING GEJ CAMPAIGN IN AKWA IBOM
5. WE MUST PRODUCE THE NEXT DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF
LAGOS- EZE NDIGBO
MY QUESTIONS TO IGBOS,
1. CAN OBI OF ONITHSA ACCEPT ALL THE ABOVE
MENTIONED?
2. CAN EMIR OF KANO ACCEPT ....?
3. DO YOU HAVE ANY SINGLE TRIBE IN YOUR CABINET IN
THE EAST?
4. CAN ANY TRIBE CLAIM ONITHSA OR ABA TO BE NO
MAN,S LAND?
5. CAN OBI OF ONITHSA ACCEPT THE ELEVATION OF
SARKIN HAUSA IN ONITHSA TO OBI STATUS?
My conclusion: We have been living together as brothers for
years in peace. You must respect our tradition and
institutions.Ifeanyi Ubah should stop jumping around Lagos
beating drums of war.

GOD BLESS YORUBA AND IGBO

CelebritiesPolice Shut Down Pastor Oyakhilome’s TV by sunquiyahki(op): 6:58pm On Dec 25, 2014
The Lagos Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) officials have closed down Infinity Television belonged to preacher, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, for owing the state government several millions.

The news emerges after the Tuesday’s protest by workers of the TV station over non payment of 10 months salaries and non-remittance of their Pay As You Earn, PAYE, tax to the suitable institutions.

While the company staff were protesting non-payment of salaries on Tuesday, executives of the LIRS stormed the grounds of the TV station, closed it down and put a notice on the entrance after locking it with padlock.

Some of the personnel who spoke with journalists but asked not to be named said they were ready to protest to Christ Embassy Church on Oregun Road at the Cross Over Night on 31 December, 2014 to ask for the payment of their salaries since the management of the company is planning to lay them off without paying the entitlements.

“Prior to this time, the staff had been receiving half salaries (for over a year) and by June 2014 salaries have not been paid to date. To worsen the case, the staff were barred from entering the office premises by the Chief Operating Officer, Mr Henry Kifordu.

“All efforts by the staff to meet with the management proved abortive. Staff taxes and pensions have been deducted for years and were never remitted to appropriate authorities. Infinity TV was finally locked up for tax evasion on 23 December, 2014,” the staff said.

The angry workers said they were left with no other choice than to take to the streets to struggle for their rights and have decided to storm Christ Embassy’s 31 December night global service to make their injustice known to Oyakhilome, whom, they considered, may not be aware of the happenings in the company.

Ailing Infinity TV is a Direct To Home, DTH cable TV owned by Pastor Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy and was incorporated in 2009.

CelebritiesYou Need To Know What Lagos State Government Did To 70 Beggars. by sunquiyahki(op): 11:46am On Dec 24, 2014
In a bid to affirm the new law of ‘no begging’ in Lagos, the Lagos state government has done something drastic to 70 beggars recently.

Sahara Reporters made it known that the Lagos State government has deported 70 northerners who were found publicly begging; an act which has been banned in the state.

The beggars were said to have been bundled out of Lagos state where they were stationed and are presently in Kano State.

However, a local Hausa radio program monitored in Kano, made it known that the deportees complained that they were held for months and exposed to hardship before they were brought to Kano.

Some of them were said to be originally from Niger, Kebbi, Jigawa, Kaduna, Sokoto and Zamfara states.

It would be recalled that just few days ago, three fake beggars landed in trouble while trying to extort money from unsuspecting members of the public under the guise of being blind in Delta state

CelebritiesIf Elected, Buhari Will Witch-hunt ‘enemies’ And Jail Them – Mu’azu by sunquiyahki(op): 2:00pm On Dec 21, 2014
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, warned Nigerians against choosing the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, President in 2015.

Mu’azu is sure that with the former military Head of State, Nigeria will return to combative presidency, Vanguard reports.

He also added that Buhari was not capable of operating in a free, democratic society. Mu’azu insisted that the APC candidate, if elected, would involve in “witch-hunting” of “perceived enemies” and imprison them for “200 years”.

The party chairman made the claims in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Tony Amadi.

“General Buhari is the product of military dictatorship that cannot operate in a free country, he is unlike President Jonathan who at all times favours dialogue and persuasion which are the hallmark of democratic governance.

“We don’t want a combative presidency, which would be busy witch-hunting perceived enemies for trumped charges, then jail them for 200 years. If you read his acceptance speech you will note the language employed show what direction his government will focus.

“The choice before Nigerians in 2015 is quite clear. Do you want a transforming leadership or a retrogressive return to a quasi military dictatorship clad in democratic toga or do you want an environment of human right abuses where people live in fear? Yet it is supposed to be democratic setting.

“All the gains of the past years will be lost when autocratic regime that General Buhari is known for takes over power in Nigeria .”

Mu’azu praised Jonathan calling his power “awesome”. According to the PDP representative, GEJ is the leader to further advance Nigeria.

CelebritiesSome Ushers Steal Offerings In Nigeria – PFN Chief by sunquiyahki(op): 10:44am On Dec 21, 2014
Anti corruption preacher and Deputy National President (South South) Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigerian (PFN), Rev. Simeon Okah has revealed that the church has been infected by corruption.

During his end of year press briefing at the church’s headquarter in Warri, Delta state, he said that we now live in a country where ushers steal from tithes and offerings.

He said: “Corruption has eaten so deep into the society that it is no just about politicians alone. In the church, you have to almost always pray with one eye opened because in some of the places, even some ushers and finance people steal the offerings. It is terrible.”

He also said that the president is surrounded by lots of corrupt officials and there will need to be drastic change, if he is to clean up the nation.

He said: “I agree that the President is surrounded by a lot of corrupt people and it is like when he removes one bad egg, he replaces with two bad eggs. But I have no doubt that the president is a favored child and he has the magic wand to make change.

“I believe he is being limited presently by the way he came in and the challenges of security being faced by his government and there the lure to please all sides. The moment he is returned for another term, things would not be same again. He is going to make the difference”‘ Okah said.

Okah is the founder and General Overseer of Flocks of Christ Mission, spoke and has been holding anti-corruption crusade in NIgeria.

CelebritiesProf. Jailed By GMB Writes An Open Letter To The APC Candidate by sunquiyahki(op): 10:14pm On Dec 20, 2014
A Nigerian-born academic and historian professor Banji Akintoye in an open letter written to the presidential aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC) General Mahammadu Buhari (rtd.) compared their lives and shared his expectations about further fate of Nigeria.

The letter was published by Sahara Reporters.

It should be noted that the former military Head of State won APC presidential primaries and will face President Jonathan in forthcoming elections. He chose Professor Yemi Osinbajo as his running mate in 2015.

Read the letter in part:

“Unhappily, now that you and I are in our seventies, there is nothing left of our country’s ambitions and pride – indeed, there is hardly anything left of our country itself. Relentlessly crooked up, violated, robbed and depleted since 1960, our Nigeria seems now to be stumbling towards its demise.

“As you prepare for your election, I decided to write you this open letter concerning our country, because I know you will understand the pain and expectations behind my words. The purpose of most of Nigeria’s rulers since 1960 has been to weaken and even destroy regional and local initiatives in order to gather all power, control and influence together at the federal center. Their success in doing that has enabled them to remove the management of development far away from our people, and to institute at the federal centre a viciously corrupt, wasteful and incompetent monstrosity. Reduced to the status of beggar clients of the federal robber barons, the state governments, as well as the local governments, collapsed and fell in line as submissive incompetents and mini-robbers.

“In the process, real and productive enterprise quickly declined among our people, as the best and most ambitious rushed to join the ranks of the sharers of fraudulently acquired wealth from the public coffers. Our schools and universities, our public service, our police force, our military, our judiciary, all our governmental agencies (electoral commission, secret service, central bank, ports service, immigration service, public examination bodies, etc) – all collapsed under the weight of crooked control, massive corruption and generalized disloyalty. Poverty descended mightily into our country and became the lot of the overwhelming and increasing majority of our people. Our government itself admits that, today, about 70% of our citizens live in “absolute poverty” and that that percentage keeps increasing. With the growing poverty have escalated horrific crimes, a culture of dishonesty, a rush of our youths to Salafist fundamentalist terrorism, and mass flights of the educated to other lands – all of which are compounding the poverty.
”From your well-known record as a leader of our country, I know that you are not only aware of these things, but that, in common with many members of our generation, you are seriously pained by them. I confess that I was very angry with you during your brief stint as military ruler, 1983-First, you seemed to me to be power-drunk at the time—because you made no distinction between the corrupt who had been stealing and sharing public money under Shagari and those who were known to have been resisting the robbery. I belonged to the frontline of senators who were well known to have, on the floor of the Senate, resisted the mass corruption, and yet your military government detained me (and many like me), and I languished for four months in prison without any accusation–even without being asked any question by any official.

“Furthermore, I though it was a pity that you did not appear to recognize that the over-centralization that was being given to our federation was the foundation of our ills as a country. You were wrong in thinking that punishing the corrupt leaders would destroy corruption abidingly. What is needed is to change the system into which corruption has been built. In our country’s case, we needed (and we need) to reduce the magnitude of our federal government and empower our state and local governments, which are nearer the people, to bear most of the burden of development. Then we need to give recognition and respect to our various nationalities in structuring the federation – which should mean that our larger nations would each constitute a state, and contiguous groups of our smaller nationalities would be assisted to form states, just as the Indians sensibly and profitably did in the 1960s.

“By refusing to go that route, Nigeria has abysmally depressed its nationalities. Today, we are a battered, poor, and disoriented nation, and most of our achievements have been wrecked, thanks to our being part of a Nigeria that destroys its peoples. Every other Nigerian nationality has similar stories to tell. My brother, I am, by nature and by upbringing, averse to merely lamenting an evil development; I act to change it. My potential urge, even as I write this, is to exert myself with others like me towards pulling my Yoruba nation out of Nigeria if Nigeria will not change course – and that is something that we Yoruba are perfectly capable to achieve if we are pushed to start upon it. And the same is true of some other persons and nations. In short, let’s not ignore or minimize the danger of Nigeria’s dissolution.

”I know you have what it takes to change and save Nigeria. I wish you luck in your election – and I wish Nigeria luck.”

CelebritiesRe: Top 10 Controversies That Rocked Nigeria In 2014 by sunquiyahki(op): 9:02pm On Dec 20, 2014
Its been modified.

CelebritiesTop 10 Controversies That Rocked Nigeria In 2014 by sunquiyahki(op):
Nigeria has experienced quite a number of controversial issues in the year 2014. Some of these issues will definitely spill into 2015 as they are still unfolding.

This list has the most talked about incidents that helped shape the outgoing year for better or worse.

Here is a list of 10 striking controversies that rocked Nigeria in 2014:

1. The Federal Government suspends Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi (February 20)
President Jonathan suspended Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the CBN governor, claiming that his tenure had been characterised by acts of financial recklessness and misconduct. The president said he was concerned about far-reaching irregularities under Malam Sanusi’s watch, which have distracted the apex bank away from the pursuit and achievement of its statutory mandate. He however did not exit the financial stage without responding to the 35-count allegations against him by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and the federal government.

2. At least 19 applicants killed across the nation at Immigration Service recruitment exercise (March 15)

No fewer than 19 applicants lost their lives and dozens were injured at the 2014 Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) recruitment exercise, a tragedy which occurred when 6.5 million people across the country (including the FCT) stormed various recruitment centres in the country for 4,000 positions.

The applicants who had thronged venues of the exercise, mostly stadia, paid N1,000 as application fee. The Federal Government and the two chambers of the National Assembly constituted separate committees to probe the tragedy at the time, but the reports of the panels are yet to be made public.

President Jonathan also promised automatic employment for those ‘certified injured’ and three slots for immediate family members of those killed, but there are court cases and protests by those affected and civil society organisations over the failure of the government to honour the promises made. Failure to sack Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, even after taking full responsibility for the tragedy remains controversial.

3. Abduction of schoolgirls from Chibok Girls’ Government Secondary School (April 14)

Boko Haram militants stormed a secondary school in Chibok, Borno State, where students were writing their final examinations and abducted over 200 girls. Security forces failed to immediately go after them.

Later, the leader of the Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, in a video claimed responsibility, jeering that some of the girls have been married off, while all of them were forced to convert to Islam. The abduction attracted national and international outrage, culminating in protests in some parts of Nigeria and around the world, made popular by the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls.

At least 56 of the abducted girls escaped on their own at various times, while the rest are believed to be held by the terrorists in Sambisa Forest. President Jonathan has vowed to have the girls released.

4. DHQ Spokesman announces ‘rescue’ of Chibok girls (16 April)

The Director of Defence Information, Major-General Chris Olukolade, announced the rescue of “all 129 girls” except eight. The very next day, he retracted the statement to the collective chagrin of Nigerians and the international community.

Fast-forward to July, Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh, said the Nigerian military had discovered where the schoolgirls were being kept, but that they would not use force to rescue them. Badeh was quoted to have said: “The good news for the girls is that we know where they are but we cannot tell you, we cannot come and tell you military secrets here. Just leave us alone, we are working…”

5. Ebola disease descends on Nigeria (July 20)
An American-Liberian, Patrick Sawyer, arrived Lagos from Monrovia and it was reported that he looked “terribly ill” and was subjected to medical examination in a private hospital in Lagos. His confirmatory test results for Ebola infection were still pending and it eventually proved that Sawyer had Ebola.

The then Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, broke the news at a world press conference in Abuja. A lot of events followed, including burials anywhere in the country requiring a mandatory death certificate. Nigeria’s request for an experimental drug was turned down. Several Ebola cure claims ranging from consumption of bitter kola to salt water surfaced and fizzled out. In the end, Nigeria confirmed a total of 19 cases, of whom seven died and 12 survived, hailed as heroes.

The country effectively contained the virus, as the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared it Ebola-free 42 days after the country’s last infectious contact with a confirmed or suspected case. The struggle lasted exactly 93 days.

6. First Lady Patience Jonathan publicly doubts Chibok girls’ abduction (May 5)
The First Lady, Patience Jonathan, burst in tears

The First Lady, Patience Jonathan, at a second enlarged stakeholders’ meeting on the abducted schoolgirls openly burst into tears, instantly spawning an internet meme and widely circulated video in which she kept repeating “There is God o.”

Mrs. Jonathan had requested Hajiya Nana Shettima, the wife of Borno State governor, to chair the committee which sought clarification on conflicting issues on the matter. Mrs. Shettima however did attend the second meeting, to which Mrs. Jonathan complained bitterly. One of the most memorable parts of the video – as well as its lowest point – probably remains when Mrs. Jonathan infamously asked the Chibok school’s principal in halting Pidgin English: “Na only you waka come?”

7. IGP withdraws Tambuwal’s security over defection to APC (Oct 30)
Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal

The Inspector-General of Police (then in acting capacity) Mr. Suleiman Abba ordered the withdrawal of policemen attached to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, two days after he defected to the APC from the PDP. The IGP said that since Tambuwal had defected, he could no longer enjoy the privilege of police protection. The Department of State Services (DSS) followed suit. Mr. Abba, on November 26, when he appeared before the House Committee on Police Affairs, was adamant and refused to recognise Tambuwal as the Speaker of the House of Reps, insisting it would be “subjudice” for him to address him as such, as long as the matter was in court. The members of the committee were angry and staged a walk-out.

8. Botched arms deals in South Africa (Sept 2014)

In September, a chartered Bombadier Challenger 600 plane with two Nigerians and an Israeli national onboard ferried $9.3 million to South Africa allegedly for the purchase of arms. But upon landing at the Lanseria International Airport, northwest of Johannesburg, the cargo (money) was apprehended by the South Africa Revenue Service (SARS) which claimed it was smuggled funds. It said the money was not declared and the amount was way beyond “the prescribed legal limit” approved by laws of the country.

The president Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsajafor, admitted ownership of the jet but said: “I leased the aircraft on August 2, 2014 to a company to run it. It was the leasee that entered into an agreement with the people who carried out the transfer of funds. Having leased the aircraft to the Green Coast Produce Company Limited, any transaction undertaken with the aircraft can no longer be attached to me.”

Again, four weeks later, South Africa’s Asset Forfeiture Unit of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) seized another $5.7 million meant for another arms deal. The NPA ordered the funds frozen in the bank for allegedly being proceeds of illegal transactions. The controversy is ongoing.

9. FG announces ‘ceasefire deal’ with Boko Haram (October 17)

On October 17, the Federal Government announced a ceasefire deal with Boko Haram, sparking hope that the insurgents would release the 276 abducted schoolgirls. It was announced by the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh, who said: “A ceasefire agreement has been concluded between the federal government and Boko Haram.”

The President’s Principal Secretary, Hassan Tukur, told BBC Focus on Africa that an agreement to end hostilities had been reached after talks with the violent group. Tukur said Boko Haram announced a unilateral ceasefire on Thursday and the government had responded. He said the sect assured that they have the girls unharmed and that they would release them. However, violence by the sect seems to have escalated, with a video of leader Shekau vehemently denying a ceasefire of any sort.

10. Lawmakers scale National Assembly gates (November 20)
Top 10 Controversies That Rocked Nigeria In 2014

Fence-scaling lawmaker

Chaos broke out at the National Assembly when the members were summoned from a recess to consider President Goodluck Jonathan’s request for the extension of emergency rule in the troubled north-east. The police attempted to stop House of Reps’ Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal, and other lawmakers from gaining entry into the assembly chambers.

This action compelled the legislators who were locked out to scale the gates to access the complex. The “no entry” order created pandemonium and chaos, as unknown officers tear-gassed lawmakers, staff and visitors. Police spokesman Emmanuel Ojukwu controversially claimed in a statement that the police were acting on ‘intelligence reports’ of a likely invasion of the House of Reps by hoodlums.

Mostly sleep is a totally unremarkable event. But a lot of us have at least once experienced some bizarre behaviors at night.

I decided to decode some of the weirdest things that start happening when we close our eyes.

1. Falling

It is also known as a hypnagogic jerk. It tends to happen when you have just fallen asleep. When you dream your body is paralyzed. Sometimes you can start dreaming before your body turns into the ‘sleeping mode’. Your brain enters into sleep cycles more aggressively, but your body hasn’t caught up. With these hypnagogic jerks, you have a dream like falling off a cliff, falling from the sky, or tripping.

2. Sleep paralysis

You want to wake up in the morning, but you realize you can’t even move a muscle or speak. This state can last for several minutes and it is extremely terrifying. In fact it is the opposite to what happens to your body during the hypnagogic jerks. Your brain wakes up before the paralysis which is typical of a deep sleep.

3. Sleepwalking

A lot of sleep-related behaviors are harmless. The most dangerous one among them is sleepwalking. You can even leave your house, walk into something or get behind the wheel. During the sleepwalking you are conscious enough for your body to move but not enough for your brain to be awake. That’s why you can remember nothing about it.

4. Sleeptalking

5 out of 100 adults talk while sleeping. Pillow talk-sessions usually last about 30 seconds. It usually happens during the first hours of sleep. Your body seems to be entering into the deep stage of sleeping but there are still some muscle tones to produce sounds or movements that may accompany your dreams.

5. Recurring dreams

In the course of dreaming your brain is trying to sort out some things. Recurring dreams happen when your brain wants to sort out some psychological issues.

6. Sleep s ex

About 8 percent of adults reported some accidents of initiating s ex with a partner while asleep. This phenomenon is similar to sleepwalking. Your brain is not awake enough to be conscious. It is possible if you were dreaming about s ex before you went to bed.

7. Exploding head syndrome

Suddenly a person wakes up having a headache after having heard a loud noise. In reality nothing like that actually happened. It is a variation of a hypnagogic jerk. Your senses were turned on but your body is still paralyzed
