So you still have no explanations as to why your Forbes list billionaires couldn't reach out to those poor people defying all the rules of decorum and social distancing just to get hold on some malnourished looking agege bread? I guess you missed the irony of the situation

Perhaps those fighting over the bread might be your gala, four by four shop owners who are hungry because the lock down has affected their daily income cheesy

So this is how low your IQ level is?

When they say shoes maker Aboki mai shoe comes to your mind?

You are talking about Mechanics, brick layers, carpenters, welders etc

Oga you have seen on numerous occasions, pictures of built up Igbo cities. Who built up Igbo cities? Was it Yoruba bricklayers that built up our cities. All the heavy machineries been fabricated majorly in Aba and all eastern states are done by Yorubas?

Please wake me up any day you can close your eyes and give me 80,000 professional shoe manufacturers from the west that can export 1 million pairs of shoes every week.

Till then you can't best Igbos in artisanship any day any time.
Like I told you before, you need leave this world view of Aba behind you.

The Northerners are the original leather craftsmen in Nigeria making different materials ranging from bags to shoes amongst numerous other leather works..

in addition, Yorubas artisans are all over the south /south, South East (yes even Aba), Abuja, North, and south west rendering their services especially in the area of brick laying and mechanics.

Whereas it is hard to find a igbo artisan outside igbo land, just like it is hard to see a Yoruba trader outside Yoruba land

I know Aba Ariria doesn't afford you the type of lecture you have received here tonight but don't thank me, thank your ignorance for exposing you. cheesy

You still haven't answered my question, I no get time for all these una boring lectures. What are the sociological factors responsible for your people fighting like hungry hyenas just to get loafs of bread, is it that bad? what are the Yoruba Forbes list billionaires and the daddy of the yoruuba race Jagaban himself doing it to alleviate the poverty plaguing the South West in these crisis situation? STOP COMPARING YOUR SITUATION TO other developed nations, the circumstances are VERY different, they still have good social welfare systems for their people... I don't see people fighting for ordinary bread, or scooping contaminated oil in muddy waters like your people... you can't keep fooling us with their Lagos-Ibadan concocted stats, does the reality on ground match your paper IGR stats? Nigeria has been adjudged the "Giants of Africa" for a number of factors, but does that title mean anything to the average middle to low income Nigerian? Use your head and figure it out.
Olodo see how this one is typing like a kindergarten pupil like this huh Nitori oloruhun

Those Forbes millionaires were the first to donate billions to the Nigerian government at the get go of the lock down and as usual the government mismanaged it.

So how does it affect the billionares, haven't they done their cooperate social responsibility required of them?

And perhaps you have forgotten all of a sudden that Lagos is a multi ethnic society with a lot of people from all over Nigeria living in it

So how can you say for certain that only Yorubas are suffering in Lagos, or they are the only ones you saw in the video?

After all ! we have 4 other Yoruba states under lock down without any report of such savagery,

So What exactly are you talking about?

Artisanship has got a new meaning thanks to my western brothers.

You guys are clowns.

There are about 80,000 professional shoes producers in Aba alone, churning out more than 1,000,000 pairs of shoes on a weekly basis. I don't want to talk about clothing designers, belts. Fabricators of all kinds of machines.
Clown

So only shoe makers are artisans in your village

Even Shoe marker per shoe maker, Hausas still have more numbers than igbos

Even here in Lagos island, there are thousands of Yoruba shoe makers fabricating nice shoes.

Regardless, we are talking about Mechanics, brick layers, Capenters, welders, aluminium fabrictors etc.

Even in North, one would still find Yoruba artisans in large numbers.

Perhaps you are another village boy whose world view is only limited to Ariria in Aba. cheesy

Only people like Legendhero & Myobjective have something upstairs.

Where did I ever say the SMEs were the ones who made Lagos what they are?
I said the SMEs support and give income to the majority of Lagosians! And it is with this income that Lagosians patronize the big industries in their midst.

Are the big industries the ones patronizing themselves?

Without the large population of consumers in Lagos, do u think some of these industries would cite their factories in Lagos? Or don't u know that nearness to market is one of the major factors considered in the citing of an industry?

Without the SMEs there would be no large consumer population in Lagos, without the Large consumer population, there would be no much industries in Lagos. As simple as ABC.
Sebi Awo give una free education na, why then are u people making me stress myself in explanation? Shuooo!
@ emboldened is totally wrong

Lagos has its strategic advantage that attract the large industries. It was not because of the large population that industries started moving to Lagos.

The strategic location of lagos as a port city and as the city housing the ports Majority of Nigerian's import and export takes place is the reason why Lagos have a huge industrial base.

It's also important to point out that Ikeja, Sango ota and Sagamu amongst other Original Lagos/Southwest industrial hub were built by Awolowo as those places were initially part of the western region of Nigeria.

In fact one could say that the industrial activities and the potential of commercial nerve centre attracted the a huge population to relocate to Lagos in the 60s, 70s and 80s not the other way round..

So if Nigeria were to split today, Lagos would still continue to be the commercial and industrial hub of any country that Lagos falls under by default.

Anambralstson:
Nominal GDP is an assessment of economic production in an economy, it measures the value of all finished goods and services produced, in Nigeria GDP services sector accounted for 67%, while agriculture accounted for 22% and industry, 11%, minus Lagos Anambra beat all southwest states, even Kano beat them too, I know it be hard for you to admit, this is north /west thread just open thread, you most be out of your mind comparing Anambra to Ogun , Abia to Ekiti and Imo to Ondo state.
Olodo

Nominal GDP doesn't account for the cost of production lost to inflation.

Inflation is the general increase in general price level of goods and services.

So take for example if a loaf of bread is sold at N100 in Anambra and sold at N60 in Oyo state. The nominal Gdp does not account for the extra N40 lost to inflation.

And cost of living in Anambra is generally higher than the cost of living in Oyo state because of many factors.

Cost of labour

Cost of housing

Cost of transportation

etc.

Hence, Norminal GDP is not the best measure of economic growth, so true GDP is used after inflation must have been accounted for.

But u dey slow Sha ooo!

Why are Yorubas more influential in Kwara but almost non-existent in Kogi where they are bitches of Igalas & Ebiras?

To answer your question. Plateau & Taraba do not have a millenium old Hausa kingdom like Zaria in them.
Zaria (Hausa land) in Kaduna is just 25% of Kaduna state Landmass, but it is heavily populated and that is why Hausa fulanis have an advantage over Southern Kaduna tribes in the states.

It is just like Kwara where Nupe & Baribas own 50% of the landmass of the state but Yorubas dominate it because of numbers.
Divide Kwara state today and all that Yoruba domination ends!

If Igbos are saying they no longer pity my people, that is when I can start shivering, not you bunch of cowards called Yorubas that are still slaves in your own land (Ilorin).

British colonialists gave u Yorubas a land in Jos to settle (Nasarawa Gong) and you people cowardly lost it to Hausa fulanis in the Jos crisis.
But go to Kano and see how Igbos in Sabongari have created a safe haven for all Christians in Kano by protecting that place with their blood.
Cowards.
Yorubas are minority in Kogi and Majority in Kwara

Landmass is not population sir, ibos have less land mass than Yorubas but their population is just as much as the Yorubas in Nigeria today.

Northern igbos were slaves to igala people who sold them as slaves but igala people had no intention of installing a long term ruller like Emir of Ilorin in Northern igbo states.

So stop saying trash.
