manchy7531:Oh! You spent your childhood in Osun. I thought you spent your childhood in Imo or Eboyin London Why didn't you grow in the South East? Isn't it the obvious poverty that chased you and your family away. You obviously don't know you are defeating yourself with this your lame argument. |
BiafraforTrump:Please do List the numbers of University in Imo and let me list those in Osun We should not only stop on the list, wr should also look at the ranking of those universities. Osun's gold is actually one the best in world. Osun has been mining his gold for along time. South Africa and to a large extent Ghana depend on revenue from solid minerals like Gold to build their economies. |
manchy7531:Don't disgrace yourself I have been to majority of South East state and I am ready to take you on. Why didn't you school in the South East? Abi they forced you to school in Ife? Oga go and sleep. |
BiafraforTrump:Osun has more universities than majority of igbo states Bowen, Awolowo university OAU, Osun state university, Osun state poly, Adeleke university, Oduduwa university, Federal poly Ede. etc. Osun has decent Gold deposit Osun has cities such as Ede, Iwo, Ilesha Osogbo, Ife. And in case you missed it, below is the picture of Osun mall built years ago

oluwadabira111:How many igbos are doing business in Ageni? Ageni is like my village because I am from ibadan oh. My family house is in center of the market. I don't even think igbos are up to 15. The place with the largest number of igbo business men in ibadan are Dugbe and Eko tedo area. A handful in ifeleye and some selling wire, building materials and car parts at Gate. |
mrvitalis:Can you read In your chat S,E has 9.3% poor people while South west had 8.7% So is the South East better here. |
They should be sent to face Boko haram and Islamic state of west Africa in Bornu. Shebi they want to be soldiers I also have experience with some fake soldiers in Ibadan. |
Good I have a few land that I want to get the C of O. |
BeautifulMind2:Yes Especially Kogi because by its very nature has four ethnic groups.. You can't just have one or two main cities. |
BeautifulMind2:Bro I am tired of explaining myself Ok last simple explanation Simple illustrations In the South East Workers in Rural areas might earn as much 19,000 per month while workers in urban areas earn 25,000 because of the way your states are structured. Many people have strong affiliation to their villages and often invest in their villages. Whereas in the south west, Workers might earn 25,000 in urban areas while they earn 8,000 in rural areas because people hardly want to invest in villages Hence, the Gini would place the East ahead of South west on equitable income distribution However very few Yorubas still live in the Rural areas anymore because of the inequality in income and social amenities. Hence, majority of the people are not living in absolute poverty. |
BeautifulMind2:That's because it's believed that there's a more equitable distribution of wealth between the Rural and urban areas in the East, while most people in South western cities are often 5 to 10 times richer than the rural dwellers I am explaining for the third time. |
BeautifulMind2:Yes, between the rural and Urban areas as it's stated in the report above. Abi whose income was compared? |
BeautifulMind2:You have not recovered since yesterday This is simply the wealth distribution between Rural and Urban areas I believe Igbos should be doing better than anyone considering how many of you outside igboland prefer to build houses in the village and considerably improving the wealth of the village in the process. On the other hand, Yorubas prefer to build their houses in town. |
lexyking:Okun, Ekiti and Igbomina in Kwara state, communities in Warri see themselves as Yorubas See the news report below. https://m.guardian.ng/news/were-not-under-olu-of-warri-itsekiri-community-declares/ |
manuelreports:So warri would go with igbo land ? Read this https://m.guardian.ng/news/were-not-under-olu-of-warri-itsekiri-community-declares/ |
PrecisionFx:I don't think millions in the South want to be farmers And I don't think the government has really invested in Agriculture that much. . Everything from the government is lips service. |
AregbeFufu:One thing about you people is how you just love to bad mouth others without a single proof to back your claims. You are the richest in Nigeria but you are the one shouting marginalization like a pop song on every occasion. If I haven't been to the East, I would have thought you guys are next in Nigeria to the European based your boastful nature. |
funken:You are absolutely right but most industrial revolution start from somewhere Agriculture is a very important industry for us now considering our skills level. |
PrecisionFx:The North has the population. How many down south wish to be farmers? |
TundeBricklayer:This is not necessarily about cash flow The cash flow might be controlled by a few people as it's the case around Nigeria and third world countries. The Gap between the rich and the poor might be a lot. |
TundeBricklayer:The GDP is also conducted using a similar sample size Don't Forget GDP is the total market value of goods and services produced in an area within a specific period. Most of the figures are based on an Estimation from different demographics in the state You don't expect them to capture every one in Anambra. In research, it is written under the Methodology section as limitations. |
TundeBricklayer:Poverty rate also have a comprehensive and transparent methodology They compare the average household income to the cost of the list of things necessary to survive in that state. So if the income falls below what is necessary to survive, such person is considered to be poor or living in poverty. It's a no brainer that the East and South is more expensive to live in than the West outside of Lagos and parts of Ogun state. |
GeneralPula:Knock yourself out https://www.nairaland.com/5788620/what-does-west-produce-compares/80 |
TundeBricklayer:You boasted with the Statistics released by the same Yoruba man you are now insulting for three straight years since 2017 with your Anambra village boy account and numerous other accounts. However, you are now unhappy with the man when he released another statistics which does not favour you or massage your ego! Perhaps you have forgotten that he is simply the head of the agency and others must have carried out those research on his behalf. If you are not happy with this information provided by a national institution, why don't you assemble a team and carry out your own research. |
SciLab:Where do beggers sit at Challenge and Iwo road? Be living in denial! |
Ewoo Money don set for the poorest of the poor oh. ![]() |
Cantonese:I am not being tribalistic, the dude is actually from Anambra He has three monikers |
fergie006:Alright bruv. |
fabuloz1:Yes. That won't be the first time I am engaging him. |
Government needs to invest heavily in Agriculture to reduce the rate of poverty in Nigeria. It seems simple enough >Northern Nigeria are known to be very good farmers >There seems to be a high rate of poverty in the northern Nigeria according to most research results of organizations around the world > Nigeria spends billions of dollars importing food like rice and co which Northerners can provide. > Serious investment in Agriculture not just lips service like our government often do would lift millions out of poverty and help strengthen the nation. I am talking about massive irrigation systems, Storage facilities, training for farmers on new techniques in Farming and introduction of high yield seeds. etc. |
Juliusmalema:Which constitution are you talking about? Buhari approved a ban on interstate movement since last week So why should they come into Lagos at this time? Or is Zamfara a local government area in Lagos? Perhaps they should have gone to your state Anambra |
Nodogragra4me:Did I say people are relocating permanently? is the lock down permanent? |
