^^ If your 3Gs comes with a new bootrom, then the jailbreak will be tethered on iOS 5. I suggest u wait for untethered iOS 5 before upgrading, since it seems you are new to iOS, in the main time, save your iOS 5 SHSH with TinyUmbrella.

Go to Settings - General - Network - Network Cellular Data under APN field input gloflat that's all.

My iPhone 4 is jailbroken n it doesn't need to b reboot by a jailbroken software wn it powers off,thot dat wat untethered meant. Pls correct me if am wrong.
@tumababa I wld need help on d SAM activation with iTunes thing but am benin. Know anyone in Benin dat cld help? I rly need push,FaceTime n better battery life .

If you are on iOS 5 then, you are on semi-tethered jailbreak which means Cydia apps wouldn't work if you don't 'boot tethered' hope I'm not sounding too ^technical?
