There is always some good aspect of every bad situation. When tranche 1 alert started landing it submerged this thread and everywhere suddenly went silence. In fact, I was wondering if people like Sunylee1 still know their nairaland login details. Now that tranche 2 is delayed awardess quickly remember their login detail again and twink nairaland is busy again with YouWinNners activities. Positive part of delayed tranche. Hahahahahahah.
Second tranche will be paid. |

jeffmyson: Appropriation acts are never amended! they are laws and the government must implement. the only thing the new government can do is to bring supplementary appropriation if the current ones does not meet government obligations. Government is a continuum both in theory and practice. we must learn to keep that mindset, The incoming APC government are under obligations to implement extant government policies including the budget, and the president elect (GMB) recently said so when he said nobody should expect anything from his government until october since the 2015 appropriation act was Jonathan's and he was duty bound to implement it. he said APC economic policies will start being implemented after October. I even expect the APC government to expand the Youwin Program and maybe fund upto 3,000 new businesses every year.
on the expenses you listed, those are INEC expenses and were captured sufficiently in 2014 appropriation act and INEC being on first line charge got their money in full. Government is never broke, they have access to several funding options including Loans. The United states Government is currently owing more than 1 trillion dollars in foreign debt. the most important thing is how the economy is managed so that we dont end up like Greece.
Youwin Awardees must be paid all their tranches and i am confident that will happen. Nothing less is expected. i will advise all awardees who meet their milestones to remain hopeful as that much awaited alert will come in soon
http://dailypost.ng/2015/04/15/buhari-to-announce-his-ministers-one-week-after-may-29-inauguration/ Surely second tranche will be paid only that delay is dangerous. Those who have rented apartment for 5 months without been able to start are eggy. Pls let us stop argument and focus on prayer as usual. God is still with us. |

Going by the advice received on this thread when 1st tranche was delayed, I managed to utilize my 1st tranche to ensure my biz start. So, my biz is already running, that is why am not perturbed as 2nd tranche is delayed as usual. For those whose biz cannot kick off with 1st tranche, we all have to continue in prayer. We have been prayerful on this thread and God had always answer us speedily. Let us continue in prayer. |

Pdp fat non of that, just talking and abusive Another lie. APC simply take Nigerians to be fools. Buhari has been wearing the same clothes in all the deceptive pictures they have been displaying since he left Nigeria. They first told us he was on a working visit to UK. Then they told us he went there to rest. The first picture they presented of a so called interview in London was taken in Abuja here. And so many lies. |

Why must I vote for a party that play us fool with deception. All the picture of Buhari they have been showing us since he travelled out, Buhari has been wearing the same clothes. What is happening? Does it mean that both Buhari and the people around him, who are flying private jet with their state resources cannot afford to buy more than one clothes for Buhari? What does APC take Nigerian to be? |

Politics › Re: We’re Under Threat For Endorsing Buhari – Christian Group by sunylee1: 9:37pm On Mar 01, 2015 |
itetemi: A Christian group, Northern Christian Leaders Eagle Eyes Forum, which endorsed the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), said the members now live under threat.
Specifically, the group on Friday raised the alarm that its leaders’ lives were under serious threat following its endorsement of Buhari.
Addressing journalists in Kaduna, Chairman of the Forum, Pastor Aminchi Habu, simply described the tenure of President Goodluck Jonathan as a disappointment.
Habu said in 2011, the Christian community overwhelmingly voted for Jonathan but regretted that the President had failed the entire nation, adding that Jonathan’s “poor performance” informed the body’s decision to support Buhari.
He said the Forum could not be intimidated in any way to vote for Jonathan on the basis of religion or ethnicity.
The Christian body argued that they believed that Buhari could rid the country of insecurity and underdevelopment.
Habu said, “Our decision to endorse Buhari was informed by our patriotic commitment to build a free, fair and a secular society, where the inheritance should be justice to all.
“After the endorsement, our members, especially the Chairman of this Forum, have continued to receive threats through phone calls and text messages, labelling them a sell-out, who have abandoned a Christian candidate in the person of President Goodluck Jonathan.
“We supported the present government in 2003, 2007 and 2011. However, after critical analysis, the Forum decided to endorse General Muhammadu Buhari, based on the abysmal performance, the security challenges, outrageous corruption in public places, coupled with economic downturn in the country today.
“Our enemies accused us of collecting N500m from General Buhari. This accusation is not only wrong, but a blatant lie from the pit of hell. We charged anybody with concrete evidence of any money, collected by anybody on behalf of the Forum, to come forward with such evidence.
“The endorsement of Buhari was done publicly, and not secretly like our accusers will do; yet a segment of corrupt minds is employed to water down the good intention of the Forum, which is to build bridges and promote peaceful co-existence within our complex diversity.
“We shall not betray our trust as religious leaders for any monetary consideration. We shall do everything humanly possible, within our calling, to protect the interest of our image.
“We are therefore calling on Christians not to be deceived by these religious bigots and shun sentiment by voting the right candidate in the forthcoming general elections.” http://www.punchng.com/news/were-under-threat-for-endorsing-buhari-christian-group/ It is not yet April these so called pastors are doing April fool! It takes a fool to believe their terrible lies. If they threaten them in the north for endorsing Buhari what will happen to those in the east that endorse him. It is a BIG lie. They are only working for the bribe APC gave them. This is truly the end of the world when pastors will be telling unbelievable lie. |

chukwuka12: Thats why i said earlier that we should leave political statements here.. someone miss interpreted me. I neva talked abt GEJ or GMB. I remain greatful to GEJ for the opportunity to be a youwin awardee....
But pls i still repeat it, lets leave politics out of this thread, you can open another thread and discuss politics.
We should be talking of how some of us will get their 1 trench, how odas can trigger the 2nd trench and challenges or successes so far achieved...
I rest my case... Regards I like ur point but without ensuring we work for GEJ to win his election and continue your 2nd tranche as well as the hope of any youth to ever get YouWin is forever impossible. If Goodluck looses, you don't only stand the chance of loosing both your 2nd & 3rd tranche, u are @ d risk of been forced to vomit the 1st tranche you have collected or you loose part of your business asset if not ALL. Those of us who knows GMB when he ruled Nigeria from 1st Jan 1984 to 27th Aug 1985 don't need any prophet to tell us that even YouWin 1 &2 awardees may also loose their biz asset. If you want GEJ good work to continue If you want more youths to be empowered If you want your 2nd tranche & 3rd tranche to a reality Then vote for GEJ and work for him to get more vote. |

chukwuka12: In as much as politics is in everytin we do.... pls lets avoid political comments.... It willl go a long way... TGIG The fact remains that YouWin cannot be separated from politics now. Because it is politics that will determine the continuity. The programme is under political dispensation. The regime under which the programme as well as numerous other youth focused merit based programmes were initiated has been heavily criticized due to political reasons. The programme itself has been rubbished and thrown into trash can by different politicians, yet we all know that the programme is very effective, credible & the best thing to ever happen to Nigerians. Those of us who are beneficiary that are suppose to rise to defend the programme have been quiet just because we don't want to dable into politics. The administration under which YouWin has been initiated have been branded complete failure, & that they have done nothing for political reasons. Ha, we cannot bite the finger of the politician that feeds us and has been used of God to make us millionaires. We have been saying that YouWin should NOT be politicized, yet Goodluck himself has been using the YouWin to campaign, then where did we get the notion that YouWin should be completely separated from politics? By the way is it not politician that initiated the programme? Are opposition parties not washing down the YouWin programme. In as much as Goodluck himself is campaigning with YouWin and opposition parties are attacking YouWin to discredit Goodluck administration, it is pertinent that we the beneficiary rise to defend the YouWin programme as well as the regime that initiated it. I REPEAT I WILL VOTE GOODLUCK I WILL WORK FOR GOODLUCK I WILL MASSIVELY MOBILISE VOTES FOR GOODLUCK. I BELIEVE IN THE CONTINUITY OF THE YOUWIN PROGRAMME & OTHER YOUTH FOCUSED PROGRAMMES. |

Just as we have shun religion on nairaland, this election should NOT be about religion but the future of the youths who are the future of this country. Having benefited from YouWin. Am set to do everything in my power to ensure this programme that is raising our youths from grass to grace continue at least till 2019 so that more youths can be raised as millionaires without godfather and that is only possible if Goodluck continue. Haba, haba this is what has never happen in the history of Nigeria. The trend has always been the rich getting richer while the poor keep getting poorer. Haba, it has always been that our father pack their slippers and we must also pack their children slippers. But Goodluck is changing the trend through his youth focused policy yet you benefited and you are bold to say u will vote GMB. Think twice and reconsider your stand. I will work and vote for Goodluck for the sake of the future of other youths. Only that it painful that I didn't start working 4 Goodluck on time, but now that I have woken up to reality I have started mobilising votes heavily for Goodluck. |

Krak: For the interest of the country I am voting for GMB. If you want to turn this thread into a political thread then lets go there.
Is it by force? Why not quickly refund your YouWiN fund and opt out of the programme. Which government in d history of Nigeria has ever raised youths as millionaire without godfather. Since you know Buhari will NOT continue with YouWin & u still want to vote him. Posterity will question everyone that enjoy YouWin under Goodluck and don't care if it continue or not. As it is written "He that repays good with evil, evil will never depart from his house". For the sake of Nigeria, the future of the youths that Goodluck administration is raising through his various policies in YouWin, Sure-P, Agropreneures, GIS, YouWin SME etc; I will vote for Goodluck, work for Goodluck & massively mobilise votes for him. Just for the future of the Youths. |

Mohammed83: @sunylee1, I share ur fears too. But if all d 1500 of us Youwin 3 awardees can convince just 10 people each 2 vote GEJ and d over 200k Youwin 4 applicants( just assuming they are up to that) can do same, I believe dat would go a long way 2 helping GEJ to victory and helping ourselves secure our 2nd and 3rd tranches. So far I've been able 2 convince 55 people who had initially planned 2 vote APC to change their minds and vote GEJ on that day, and I'm determined to convince up to 200 people b/f March 28. D major problem GEJ in having, especially in my state is dat most people are not aware of his numerous achievements, seems his publicity people are not doing enough in that regard.
U don't need anyone to tell u Buhari will scrap d Youwin program if he wins, its very obvious already, so please let's do what we can to ensure GEJ is re-elected. Mohammed, I like your style. Iv started convincing people also, only that am starting late. Iv convinced more than 300 people to vote GEJ. Those are the people that would have voted Bihari b4 I convinced them using Goodluck acheivement & I still hope to convince at least 1,000 people because I use to meet lot of people based on my profession.
