APC primaries is open to any Igbo man and indeed to all Nigerians that want to contest. Okorocha contested against Buhari in 2014.
I think Igbos should be able to get PDP Presidential ticket for 2023. They have been doing houseboy for that party since 1999, which will translate into 24 years by 2023. If a boy is under apprenticeship for 24 years, I think its about time he gets Freedom to display what he can do as well.

Bro, Obasanjo, who had never been in the political scene stood no chance against Ekwueme, a former vice president in the PDP primaries in 1999. But, for the sake of equity, the primaries were conducted in as a sham - Obasanjo won and went ahead to defeat Falae in the elections. Prior to that time, Yorubas had not produced any important personality in the national government.

PDP and APC must present Igbo candidates. Heck, even during the formation of PDP in the 4th republic, Obasanjo who later became the candidate of the party was in prison. The presidency was given to Yorubas on a platter of gold, same should go for the Igbos.

Glad we still have pragmatically intelligent posters here. Only the cowardly Igbos who deem themselves conquered and second class now shout of Northern Presidency in 2023.

I said same as you in another post. Yoruba know their worth to Nigeria and what we are very confident in the superiority of what we bring to the Nigerian table which is more valuable than what others contribute.

I dare the North to try gain a monopoly on the Presidency to then wait for the reaction of the Yorubas against what they will see as fundamentally unfair and unacceptable given their steadfast support of a cause I. Equitable politic s where one good turn deserves another. Let the North go against this. We will see. Yoruba aint nosiemakers like the Igbos who chest-beat but cannot back it.

Talk about your folks and leave Igbos out of your miseries. If y'all are bent on leaving Nigeria, come out and be real like the Igbos.

Stop hoisting your ugly flags in hotel rooms, loooooooool.

But Jonathan contested under PDP and became their flag bearer. Its time PDP gives their ticket to an Igbo man. You guys have invested too much into that party not to look your side again in 2023. Don't you think so?

Yeah, I think the two dominant parties should present Igbo candidates for the 2023 elections.

But Tinubu is not a member of PDP nau. An Igbo man should be able to get PDP ticket very easily. Don't you think so?

Jonathan was asked not to contest in 2015 so, a Northern would complete the zoning formula. In 2015, a northern became president through APC.

igbos want to be president through apc first before pdp

Whatever party flags an Igbo presidential candidate will get Igbo votes from the SE and SS. The two dominant parties should make Igbos their presidential candidates like it was done for Yorubas in 1999.

Falae and Obasanjo were the presidential candidates of the two dominant parties in the 1999.

Its time Igbos become the Presidential flag bearer of PDP. You have produced Ijaw President, produced Yoruba President, produced Hausa Fulani President under PDP. You have invested heavily in that party..

If Yorubas wish to break that accord then, the ticket would go ri the North while, an Igbo becomes the vice president. If the accord stands, an Igbo will be the flag bearer with a Northern running mate. This way, the rotation and zoning will stand firm.

If Tinubu and his cohorts play otherwise then, they will all learn the hard way.
Politics / Re: I Hope 2023 Presidency Ambition Won't Divide Tinubu And Osinbajo by SuperIgbo1(m): 6:34am On Mar 24, 2019
Yorubas always would want to brag about their new found political relevance, loooooool. An Igbo person, barely 9 years after fighting a Biafran war, became vice president while, it took Yorubas more than 40 years after independence to match that feat.

Igbos produced Nigeria's first president while, Yorubas produced a president more than 30 years later. Igbos produced Nigeria's first Senate president, while Yorubas have produced none(Saraki is not Yoruba).

In the first republic, Igbos produced the president, Senate president, and speaker of the house of representatives while Yorubas had none. In the second republic, Igbos had the vice president and, speaker of the house of representatives while, an Eastern Nigerian was the Senate president.

Igbos supported Bashir Tofa and he lost.

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate Moshood Abiola received over 8 million votes, and won in 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory. The National Republican Convention (NRC) candidate Alhaji Bashir Tofa received over 6 million votes and won in 10 states only. Over 14 million people voted. Abiola won in Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Kwara, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Taraba, and Yobe states, and the Federal Capital Territory. Tofa won in Abia, Adamawa, Bauchi, Enugu, Imo, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Niger, Rivers and Sokoto States.

So, Igbos supported Tofa and he lost.

You're a moronic person.

Igbo owned NCNC formed and controlled the central government with NPC from independence till 1966. Igbos supported Shagari/Ekwueme against AWOL and, their candidates won. Igbos supported Tofa, he lost but, the Yoruba candidate never became president, looooooool. He was no better than the loser, Tofa.

Igbos supported Obasanjo in 1999 and 2003, he won even without the inconsequential votes from his region. Igbos supported Yardua, Jonathan and they all won so, I wonder what you on about.

African immigrants in the United States come from almost all regions in Africa and do not constitute a homogeneous group. Or do you have any America censor evidence that south African are the largest immigrants?

Anyway, no African culture survived in the US. US is a multiracial country. Even your Cameroonian culture is nonexistent. However, the Igbo culture is acknowledged in the US, loooooool. African Americans of Igbo ancestry got some classic dance moves.

What I meant is, the Cameroonians were probably taken through the Bight of Biafra or something like that.

Are you being deliberately obtuse? I said it earlier that Cameroonians also passed through that route.

Cameroonians went through the bight of Biafra but, fact remains that 90% of the slaves, who sailed through the bight of Biafra were Igbos.

nah, biafra (original igbo) are not closed related to the cammeronial Bantu which are more enslaved. the igbo people are much more close related to yoruba and edo people they hate so much.

Igbo is classified under the Volta Niger/West Benue-Congo branch of the Niger-Congo family, of which, Igbo’s closest major relatives will be Yoruba and Edo. Each of the aforementioned fall under the YEAI (Yoruboid - Edoid - Akokoid - Igboid) sub-branch of the Volta-Niger family are not cammeronial.

Igbos are related to Cameroonian Bantus.

The reason many African Americans identify with Ghana is cos of black power. There was the Ghana empire, Mansa Musa and timbuktu - they give bragging rights. Precolonial Igbos never built an strong empire rather, they lived a democratic setting.

You are very correct.

This is the chart below. the gold coast there means Ghana.

http://www.infoplease.com/spot/slavery2.html

Your chart didn't state the locations where those slaves went to. Igbo slaves were taken to the Caribbean also just like the Yorubas, traces of Igbo language are evident in the languages spoken in Haiti and Jamaica. But, the numbers are different.

It's the same thing when I say Igbos were majority slaves in the US. It's crazy if any person with an IQ of 8 is arguing this.

African American celebrities are just a small minority of the entire African American group. Igbos have the highest number of African slaves taken to the US. Today, some offsprings of these slaves choose to identify with Ghana. All facts!
