United Kingdom Telecommunication giant, Lebara Mobile is set to be sued by Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade due to an unauthorized usage of her picture for commercial purposes. Yemi Alade has kicked off legal proceeding against UK Telecoms company Lebara Mobile. The 'Johnny' crooner and her team are suing the company for copyright infringement. It would appear the telecommunications company favoured by many for highly competitive international calling rates have been using Yemi Alade’s image to promote their “Lebara Play” product on billboards & posters around the UK without her permission. An Instagram user who lives in the Ealing Broadway area of London, brought it to everyone’s attention when she shared a pic of the Lebara mobile poster with Alade’s image, thinking her fave was now the new brand ambassador for the company, she wrote: ''I stopped by to buy my calling card and right in front of me I saw this diva, screamed like she was right in front and in person. I had to increase my top up from £10 to £20. lol. My love for her though'' Source and more details here: http://www.knbnaija.com/2015/10/yemi-alade-to-sue-uk-telecoms-company.html |
Catching Cold singer, Tunde Ednut claims to have not been with a woman since 2012.The pop singer shared a picture on his Instagram account which reads “I’ve not had se.x for three years now” with the caption ‘I don try o’. If I make up my mind to do something I face it. I decided to be celibate for now and I’m enjoying it,” Chika was quoted recently. http://www.knbnaija.com/2015/10/i-have-not-had-sex-for-three-years-now.html |

The battle between Emeka Ike and Segun Arinze is still on following a recent interview in which Arinze said Ike should stop embarrassing the Actors Guild of Nigeria by parading himself as its president. Arinze said, “He should grow up. As far as I am concerned, Ibinabo Fiberesima is the bonafide president. Even in the recent judgement that came out recently telling us to return to the status quo, what does it mean? We were told to go back to the way we were. There was no time Emeka Ike was pronounced the president of AGN. Let him bring out the copy of the judgement and show us if he is man enough. He should wake up and stop embarrassing the guild.” In response, Emeka Ike told KNB Naija “I heard Segun Arinze was interviewed and he said so many things about me and nobody asked me for my own side. I don’t think it was a balanced report. Segun Arinze did not say anything meaningful, he was just cursing himself. That is not how to handle legal matters. In legal matters, we take things from the law’s point of view. Segun that is talking to the journalist is supposed to be behind bars because he committed a crime that should have sent him to jail. There was an order that he violated by bringing in Ibinabo as the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. I have been saying this since. That is why Ibinabo’s tenure was called ‘contentious.’ “Why should we the educated people allow market people to talk? I am a very cerebral person and I don’t deal with men who cannot read and do not understand the legalities of the paper they have in their hand. I cannot be trading words with a common street boy because if you did not go to school, you cannot understand some legal issues. So, he cannot assess the judgement of the court of law.” http://www.knbnaija.com/2015/10/emeka-ike-segun-arinze-is-illiterate.html

Highlife singer still living his single life!! Flavour told My Joy Online in a recent interview on why he’s not ready for marriage. His own words were; “Marriage is a serious thing, it’s a decision that when you make it’s like you are in it or you are not so you don’t need to make the wrong decision. That’s the most important thing.” “If you want to marry, for marrying sake then it doesn’t make sense. You are not defining marriage and because of the kind of job we do, I hardly stay at home so where am I going to have the time to give my family? So it is very difficult” “If I was maybe a banker, a CEO of a company or some kind of job it would be very easy, because I would have just gone to work and return to my family every day. For almost two months now I have not been home so if I had a wife…what will be expected of me? That means I can’t go to work, I have to think about them because I can’t leave them lonely like that” Flavour added…. Source:http://www.knbnaija.com/2015/10/i-am-still-single-and-not-yet-for.html |

He told the Drive Time host, I was there and saw that Drake followed me on Instagram so I DMed him and I was like ‘Yo, I’m a big fan of your music and he was like I like your music as well’. So we started talking and we talked about hooking up in London, so I went to London the next day and when I got there, I saw that he had already done his verse to the song, it was just funny mehn!’ See! Brigadier General Johnson Olawumi, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC),has said that there would no longer be concessional posting for all corps members. Brig. Olawunmi said this while speaking with journalists during the opening ceremony of the training organised by the NYSC and the Housing Developers Cooperative Society for Corps Members at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja yesterday September 21st. “The NYSC is barring concessional posting; we have to take that decision, because in the past, we allowed concessional posting for prospective corps members, who had medical challenge, or married women or pregnant women, but as it stands now, our online registration platform has been designed in such a way to address the problem of those prospective corps members who have health challenges or married women.” “So, all they need to do is that, in the process of doing their registration, there are information these categories of people need to supply and upload the documents, our portal has been designed in such a way that it will automatically post them to where they filled. I want to say that in the past few weeks we have been receiving requests from various quarters; ministries, departments, agencies, private institutions and individuals seeking for concessional posting. I want to say that they are just wasting their time,” he said. http://www.knbnaija.com/2015/09/no-more-concessional-posting-for-corps.html

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, has given a three-month ultimatum to over-weight Army personnel to shape up or be shown the way out of the forces. While fielding questions from newsmen after addressing the Chief of Army Staff’s third quarter conference which opened at the Army Headquarters, Abuja, yesterday, Buratai also renewed the military’s assurance to Nigerians that everything possible would be done to facilitate the rescue of the Chibok schoolgirls seized by Boko Haram terrorists in April 2014. The COAS said over-weight soldiers, including officers, have been given till the end of December to shed the excess baggage or start planning for another career, because after that period those who could not comply will not be allowed to continue with the Army. the Department of State Services (DSS) has wrapped up screening of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial list. Although the platform also speculates that the ministerial appointments may likely to be announced this week, the President has been facing public disapprovals, particularly from the opposition over his denial to name his appointees three months after taking the office. A top presidency source hinted that the postponement in the announcement of the ministers might be linked with the fact that some people were found wanting during the exercise. The source said: “President Buhari is a just man who wants to get his things right. He was careful enough not to appoint anyone who might disgrace or dent his hard-earned name and reputation. The major reason for the delay was because some persons earlier nominated failed the DSS screening. “The president believes that it is better to have the list late than to come out with some persons that would disgrace his government.” Answering when the appointments would be finally revealed, the source who craved anonymity said, it would be out before Friday. http://www.knbnaija.com/2015/09/dss-completes-screening-of-president.html

Iyanya launched his album yesterday at This Day Dome, Abuja. But some disgruntled people that were at the event however alleged that those who paid N400k for VIP tables got only a bottle of Hennessy and a plate of groundnut. They said one would have thought that Oreo would be in surplus since he prides himself of being Mr. Oreo and co-owner of Made Men Music Group. http://www.knbnaija.com/2015/09/iyanya-under-fire-for-serving-hennessy.html

Omotola Jalade, will not stop to amaze fans with some revelations she keeps airing out about her life, movie set and other issues about the entertainment industry. The day Nigerian ladies will come to the knowledge that Marriage is not an achievement, they will stop sowing seeds for Husbands. I see such seed sowing as methods used by Thiefstors to defraud gullible ladies. You could use those monies to add more value to Your life and even those around You. Stop chasing after the wind. I can't imagine God forcing me to marry some lady because of Her seeds. It is a violation of My free will. No matter how God speaks it, if I don't like what I see, am out. If all those seed sowing and 'I must wear my wedding gown' stunts are real we would have been hearing testimonies. If a person is hungry, do You have to beg them to eat a well prepared meal from You? Hell no. If You know Your worth, that Marriage does not increase Your value, You won't have to sow seeds to get a Husband. It is a Man that the scripture say can not be alone. A Woman is a gift to Man. Why should You add another gift to Yourself in order to be accepted by a Man. I think those churches that ask single ladies to come out for prayers are making public ridicule of them ladies. They make them prey to ravenous guys in their congregation by creating the desperation awareness. That is why most of them ladies end up sponsoring their said marriages. There is nothing wrong with a couple contributing mutually to their wedding but there is everything wrong with a woman sponsoring a wedding single-handedly just to be conferred with the MRS certificate. That is, starting up a union on the wrong pedestal. We have a lot of such cases and usually they don't end well for the Women. In the event that something goes wrong as it always does, the ladies are usually left with huge financial losses. These are monies that could have been invested rightly. This post does not frown at a lady assisting a man. Some ladies are privileged to be more financially equipped than their male partners. If You have a Man that truly loves You and is ambitious, it is perfectly okay for You to assist Him because You are building a future together. Don't buy a Man with Your hard earned money, You will regret it. Get a Purpose and pursue it. Be lost in something meaningful. Forget Men and the right one will come. Instead of sowing that seed for a Man, go and donate money to orphanages, prisons, beggars etc. If You sow a seed to get a Man, You will keep sowing to keep Him. Post written by High-Prof Victor Chigozie Ibeh http://www.knbnaija.com/2015/09/dear-single-ladies-stop-sowing-seeds.html |
