Nigerian singer, Timaya is the subject of a rape allegation. The accuser, identified as Shella B, kicked off the saga on Friday, July 24 by dedicating an Instagram account to ‘exposing’ the popular Nigerian act.

Tagged exposingtherealtimaya, Shella accused the Bayelsa State-born singer of sexually assaulting her during his time in Atlanta on July 18, 2015. In no time, her accusations fuelled several reports, forcing Timaya to react a few hours after the matter became a trending topic on social media.

Coming exactly 3 days after Timaya welcomed his second daughter, the ‘Bow Down’ singer admitted he had sex with Shella but vehemently disputed the rape claims through a statement. The self-styled Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa said he noticed the first sign of trouble when he turned down Shella’s request that they tag along to his Atlanta show later that day as a couple.

He added that she demanded $50k from him when he tried to play it cool with her days after. Whatever Timaya was saying at that point made no sense to Shella, an upcoming act with a number of singles to her name. Taking advantage of the spotlight her accusation had caused, she reintroduced a song she had released several months earlier.

Shella B is yet to back down over a week after she first cried out. She announced that a case is already filed against Timaya with the police in Atlanta, daring the Dem Mama Records boss to come to the United States if indeed he is innocent.

The mother of the singer’s two children, Barbara has been calm all along since the saga began, only making a veiled reference to the matter on Sunday, July 26 by sharing a photo of her first daughter, Emma with a caption: ‘Even when the devil tries to steal my happiness your smiles sunshine makes life more beautiful…Happy Sunday ya all?’

President Goodluck Jonathan deliberately humiliated Police Inspector General, Suleiman Abba, out of office Tuesday, delivering his decision on Twitter without an advanced communication, and leaving Mr. Abba, one of Nigeria’s most criticised police chiefs, at work several hours after his dismissal, Premium Times reports.


By 11.23p.m. Tuesday, more than 10 hours after his removal was announced via the internet, Mr. Abba was yet to receive any brief or correspondence from the president or his representatives informing him of his removal.

A statement following the Twitter message, signed by presidential spokesperson, Reuben Abati, named Solomon Arase, a former Deputy Inspector General, as Mr. Abba’s replacement.

But details of Mr. Abba’s sack, pieced together Tuesday, left no doubt the former police boss, who courted controversies for most of his nine-month tenure, was deliberately disgraced out of office.

US President, Barack Obama has awarded INEC chairman, Prof Attahiru Jega, with a certificate of commendation over the conduct of presidential and National Assembly elections which was conducted on march 28th, and this they said was free, fair credible and the best election ever held in Nigeria.

President - Elect, Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians not to expect him to perform miracles once he assumes power come may 29th, 2015.

Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria’s former president, has publicly expressed support for the electioneering campaign of Muhammadu Buhari, a former military ruler and presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at the launch of My Watch in Nairobi, Kenya on Tuesday, Obasanjo, who served his two terms as president under the ruling Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), condemned the postponement of the election.

“The circumstances [Buhari] will be working under if he wins the election are different from the one he worked under before, where he was both the executive and the legislature — he knows that. He’s smart enough. He’s educated enough. He’s experienced enough. Why shouldn't I support him?” It is the first time that the ex-president has publicly spoken of his support for Buhari. He recently said that he would only speak out on his leaning after the election has been conducted.

Nollywood Star Actor Muna Obiekewe died on sunday being the 18th of Jan 2014 after battling with Kidney Disease, although there was cetain rumours that he was still alive as was reported by an impersonated Twitter Account, but on comfirmation he was actaully dead. now there are more to the Gist as regard his death.

According some of the posts by his Colleagues in the industry we can deduce that the Veteran Actor who is survived by his wife and children died as a result of his inability to pay the exorbitant cost of Nigerian Health care as regards his situation. According to sources Muna did not open up to anyone in the industry about his health situation, and he needed only N50k for dialysis per day and Muna allegedly could not afford it.

Reacting to his death Uche Jumbo, Mike Ezuruonye, Stella Damasus and others who confirmed and other Nollywood Acts who confirmed his death made it known that they were all in the dark as to his health condition. Even Nigeria’s Actors’ Guild president, Ibinabo Fiberesima, was unaware of the actor’s illness before his sudden death.

Some of the actors and actresses confirmed from their posts also that the film industry in Nigeria is no better than a ‘make-believe’, as everyone is just content with the publicity and showing off involved in the business. The Vibrant Nollywood Actor Muna Obiekwe passed away in the afternoon of Sunday, January 18, 2015 in a hospital in Festac, Lagos. He had been battling with kidney disease for a long time which he reportedly kept secret from his colleagues in the Nigerian entertainment industry. His condition deteriorated in recent times, which eventually led to his death.

A reliable source who spoke with The Trent said Obiekwe was rushed to the hospital on Sunday morning after he was found vomiting at home. Unfortunately he lost the battle and passed away in the hospital.

1. Love means saying goodbye to expectations.

Sure, we all want people to behave the way we want them to. We want them to be more affectionate. Or more outgoing. Or smarter. Or more ambitious. All of these things are expectations. Expectations are just your requirements for “acceptability” of loving someone. But true love has no expectations. It simply loves “as is.”

2. Love doesn’t play the victim role or blame others.

Love doesn’t think others are “out to get them.” Love doesn’t think their loved ones are wrong. Love works together. It takes responsibility. It forgives and allows other people’s actions to be their journey. Love doesn’t take things personally.

3. Love includes letting go.

Baby No.2!... Former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Anna Ebiere Banner is allegedly pregnant for Nigerian Highlife singer Flavour.

According to report, 19-year-old Anna is 2-months pregnant for the 31-year-old highlife singer.

A source who knows the former beauty queen told Pulse: “You can’t get Anna to stop talking about Flavour, she’s madly in love with him. He’s very fond of her too. They look so perfect together.”

“Anna is happy, she looks happy she’s having the child for the love of her life. I just hope she can handle the whole thing, she’s such a young girl,” another source added.

Anna, who enrolled in the Middlesex University in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) back in September 2014 is currently holidaying in Nigeria and sources say she is confused about the situation as the UAE frowns at pregnancy outside wedlock.

When contacted, Flavour’s manager who neither confirmed nor denied the story said he was not in the place to discuss his artiste’s personal life.
