EducationThe Hidden Story Of ALUU 4 by superken(op): 4:37pm On Oct 07, 2014
On that fateful friday morning, they were said to have stormed the room of their debtor –the harbinger of their death –snatched his mobile phone and Laptop pending when he will refund the loan. But they were returning to their hostels, phone and laptop in hand, without the slightest portent of what the next few hours held for them.

They had hardly left his room when he began to shout “thief, thief, thief” And that marked the beginning of their waterloo.

Clannish, malevolent men and women ran out, cordoned off the young men, beat them to a defenceless state, and strip them of their clothes. They did all these without asking a question. Then they were paraded in stark nudity around the community until they got to the ‘unpromised’ land–the village square.

The young students lay nude and helpless on the floor, their semblances and eyes beckoning for help. But none was close. They were
encircled by people of the community who gaped and moped without perturb, apparently savouring each moment with relish, some was enjoying the tragic scene snapping photographs with intent of being the first to post it on social medias, few was videoing the act in pleasure, while others were busy unleashing their masculine strenght on them. The whole incident appeared to import some sort of sinister cheers to their minds. While the video was being played, I was utterly dismayed as not only men–who are considered more hard-hearted - but women and children stood and watched. The young men were planked with 4”/2” sticks with their heads as the major target.

I even learnt that during the massacre, Tekena’s sister, Ann, who was visiting a friend, saw the growing crowd and went to witness what was going on. On arrival at the scene, she saw her brother! She immediately raised an alarm but was immediately threatened into quietude or be made to suffer the same lot. But she ran out, calling for unavailable help.

They all laid on the floor almost motionless. Their limbs had buckled from the excruciating torture, ...And just when they thought the worst had
happened, they saw tyres strewn around their necks. The young men were set ablaze!
I’m sure that was the most heart-wrenchingmoment for most of us who watched the video.

One of them had been tortured to death as was evidenced by his
motionless state when the fire came on. The other three visibly limp students, who were already writhing in pains, invoked the strands of strength left in them, and struggled to crawl or even sprawl out of the blazing fire that brought inexplicable
violence to their bodies. But, unsurprisingly, their enemies kicked them back in and stoked up the fire. And then in vanquish, they gave in to the struggle and gave up to life.
THEY ARE THE ALUU4!!!

HealthEbola Virus Outbreak Hits Spain by superken(op): 3:32pm On Oct 07, 2014
The deadly Ebola Virus Disease has reportedly found its way to Spain after a nurse who treated a victim of the disease in Madrid tested positive for EVD.

This was made known on Monday by the Spanish health minister, Ana Mato, who also revealed that the nurse is the first person in the current outbreak known to have contracted Ebola outside Africa continent, CNN reports.

According Mato, the nurse was among the team that treated Spanish priest Manuel Garcia Viejo, who died on September 25, 2014, in the hospital Carlos III de Madrid after catching Ebola in Sierra Leone.

The health minister said the woman developed symptoms on September 30, adding that she was not hospitalized until this week because her only symptom was a fever.

“We are working in coordination to give the best care to the patient and to guarantee the safety of all citizens,” Mato said.

The health official who assured that the nurse is in a stable condition as she had been admitted to hospital in Alcorcon, near Madrid. He said doctors have isolated the emergency treatment room because of the patient. He further revealed that the infection was confirmed by two tests.
The health minister also disclosed that an investigation is under way to find everyone the nurse may have had contact with while contagious. Mato said there have been no other known cases so far.

It would be recalled that another Spanish priest, Miguel Pajares, died in August after contracting the virus in Liberia.

Ebola spreads through contact with the bodily fluids of someone who has the virus and the only way to stop an outbreak is to isolate those who are infected. There have been nearly 7,500 confirmed infections worldwide, with officials saying the figure is likely to be much higher in reality.

Meanwhile, Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia have been hardest hit by the outbreak. According to World Health Organisation, WHO, 3439 people have died of the virus while there have been 7492 confirmed cases so far.

CelebritiesThe Miracle Of Body Magic And Wonder Bra - Etcetera by superken(op): 12:41pm On Oct 04, 2014
Etcetera has A new article for you...this time he comes for those women who are confused and concerned and are learning towards spending their hard-earned money on a magic garment....Lol

Read below Enjoy

Those women who wear simple and proper undergarments, this article is not about you. It is for those women who are confused and concerned and are leaning toward spending their hard-earned money on a magic garment that is being peddled as if it can solve all that ail them, only to be sorely disappointed.
Every eight seconds, a woman looks in the mirror and wants to be smaller. I have a huge problem with this type of women.
Whenever I meet people who pretend to be what they are not, it gets under my skin. When you present yourself as something, you’re asking me to trust you are exactly what you say you are. Why would you then abuse the trust you asked for with the goal of winning my heart? That is not fair. A friend of mine introduced me to a very hot chic at a bar in Ikeja and after hours of hanging out and getting to know each other, she followed me home. All I could think about was what she’d look like under all those tight clothes, but when she finally grunted her way out of those really tight jeans and her body began to spread in all directions, I suddenly had a headache and didn’t feel so well and I gave her cab fare home.

I mean, is this body magic thing for-real? It is ridiculous. To think that someone would honestly wear it instead of putting the time and effort into actually losing the extra pounds should be a personal embarrassment. It’s really gone past pathetic. The extreme to which our women are going to capture an image of beauty that is neither holistic, healthy nor attractive is crazy. It seems so strange that some ladies complain about not being able to find sincere, honest and real men when everything about them is synthetic, processed and unreal. Ladies, let me sell you a clue. If you find a man, any man, who seems to be attracted to women who have certain physical attributes like fake hair, fake nails, fake round bum-bum, fake flat stomach, fake eyelashes and fake breasts, odds are he’s a fake man.

So if that’s what you’re looking for (fake men), then that’s cool. Leave the ‘real’ men to the ‘real’ women. If my girl had to UnCloth and all of a sudden picked up 8 to 10 pounds merely by taking off her corset, the attraction would have ended immediately. Because it is a fraud and I don’t get myself involved with fraudulent people. What worries me most is, how do you as a lady guard your emotions from the reaction you will inevitably receive when that look of shock and disdain appears on the face of your man after he sees those parts you’ve been hiding under that body magic? If you find yourselves that undesirable, why would you expect a man to find you desirable?

Happy Ed-El-Kabir Nairaland people...read the presidents message below;

Dear Compatriots,

I greet and felicitate with all our countrymen and women of the Islamic faith as we celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Kabir.
I also congratulate all believers who have successfully undertaken the Hajj this year as
enjoined by Prophet Mohammed (May Peace Be Upon Him).
As they conclude the rites of the Hajj and prepare to return home, let us all join them in offering special prayers for greater security, peace, unity and progress in our dear country as well as for the peaceful and successful conduct of next year’s general elections.

With this week’s issuance of a formal notice of the impending general elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), another national campaign season is now truly upon us and I urge all political leaders in the country to place the overriding interest of the well-being and progress of our fatherland above all other considerations in the coming campaigns and elections.
My administration has done its sincere best in the past four years to implement its agenda for national transformation and move our country forward on several fronts.

EventsNIGERIA @ 54: Independence Day Speech By President Goodluck Jonathan by superken(op): 10:17am On Oct 01, 2014
As Nigeria celebrates her 54th Independence day Anniversary here’s the President’s speech as Nigeria celebrates her 54th Independence Day today.

Fellow Nigerians;

Today marks the 54th anniversary of our country’s independence as a sovereign nation. This is also the tenth month of our journey into a new century, having marked the centenary of our nation in January this year. The first one hundred years were marked by triumphs and tribulations, benefits and burdens, opportunities and challenges. We made some far reaching advances in building a strong, united and prosperous nation. We also overcame the forces of disunity that culminated in a debilitating civil war. We have also renewed our faith in one another, and in our country. We have proven that we are truly a resilient nation.
In my address to the nation last year, I did emphasize that we were in a sober moment in our country. We are still in that mood in spite of the many accomplishments of our administration. Our sombreness has to do with the crises of nationhood occasioned by the activities of terrorist elements who have done the unimaginable to challenge our unity as a people.
On an occasion like this, it is important that we remember all the precious souls that have been lost in the unprecedented war of terror unleashed on some parts of our country by these individuals who want to compel us to live our lives their way. They will not succeed!

In their mission, they have maimed and raped. They have killed men, women and children, rendering many children orphans and several women widows. They have made violence their ideology and are bent on destroying our country. Dear countrymen and women, we will not allow them.
Night after night, day after day, our security forces continue to engage the terrorists in battle. My gratitude goes out to our armed forces whose will has been greatly challenged by this insurgency more than any other time, since the civil war.
Yet, they have remained undaunted and unwearied in the face of constant challenge and mortal danger. Driven by patriotic zeal, they are turning the tide by their prowess and determination. As Commander-in-Chief, I will continue to do all it takes to enable them to keep on inflicting devastating blows at the heart of terror. Fellow Nigerians, it is our collective duty as patriots to avail our men and women in uniform of all the support they need to fight and win this war.

This Administration is committed to making Nigeria safe for all Nigerians, irrespective of our places of birth, how we worship God and our political persuasion. To all those waging war against our country, I ask that you lay down your arms and embrace peace.
To those who have genuine grievances, I affirm that Nigeria will listen to you, if you bring your grievances to the table of dialogue. To the good people of Nigeria, let me restate that our task ofbuilding a better and greater country must not waver.
While we continue to deploy our resources in the fight against the terrorists, we do recognize the great toll the conflict is taking on our people.
This is why, to assist the afflicted, we have launched the Victims Support Fund, an independent multi-sectoral charity, which will aggressively solicit resources to augment Government’s statutory intervention, in bringing succour to the injured, the displaced and the bereaved.

Politics$9.3m Scandal: My Hands Are Clean - Oritsejafor Opens Up by superken(op): 3:57am On Sep 30, 2014
The president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, yesterday broke the silence about the controversial $9.3m smuggled into South Africa by two Nigerians and an Israeli, using his private jet, saying his hands are clean.

Oritsejafor broke his silence during the National Executive Council meeting of CAN at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, saying he waited for today to brief the leaders of the church and explain his position on the issue, because he believes the primary institution he owes an explanation to is the church.

Read what he said below;

“I wish to assure you that I will not do anything to tarnish the image of Jesus Christ or compromise the divine standard of the church.

“As you are all aware, the media has been awashed in the past few days about an unfortunate incident involving the movement of funds from Nigeria to South Africa. In the unfortunate news reports, attempts have been made to link me directly with the transaction.

“So far, I have refrained from making any direct public response pending the time that I would have briefed the leaders of the church and explained my position on the issues to them.
“I believe that the primary institution that I owe any explanation to is the church.”

“At the risk of being seen to be defending myself, I wish to confirm to the distinguished leaders of the church that the Bombardier Challenger 601 aircraft in question is mine. The aircraft was presented to me as a gift by members of our congregation and ministry partners worldwide at my 40th anniversary of my call into the ministry.

PoliticsSenate President, David Mark Declares To Run For Senate For The Fifth Time by superken(op): 3:45am On Sep 30, 2014
This would be the fifth time Mark would be flying the party’s ticket as he has run and so far won in all the elections for the Benue South senatorial seat since 1999.

Speaking at the party’s stakeholders meeting in Otukpo, Benue State, Mark said on Saturday that the desire of the Idoma community to return him to the Senate again would no doubt create history in the political equation of the country.

The Senate President, who was represented by the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, said he was humbled by the demand of his kinsmen and would not turn down the offer because he said the Idoma people deserve a place in national politics.

According to Moro, “the Senate president has accepted the call.”

Earlier, the Chairman of PDP in the state, Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, said the endorsement was for the common good of the Idoma nation which he asserted cannot afford to downplay the prominence the office of the Senate president has brought to the tribe.

PoliticsLagos State Govt May Prosecute T.B Joshua For Synagogue Building Collapse by superken(op): 11:07am On Sep 29, 2014
According to Punch, the state government has set up a coroner of inquest for the purpose of investigating the cause of the building collapse. This was made known in a statement credited to the Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ade Ipaye, on Sunday.

According to the statement, Ipaye had instigated the coroner’s inquest pursuant to Section 15 of the Lagos State Coroner’s System Law No. 7 of 2007.

Health"Dont Be Selfish & Too Wicked To Bother About Personal Hygiene" - Uti Nwachukwu by superken(op): 10:39am On Sep 29, 2014
DANG!!! Did that just come from you?

Usually that’s what goes through your head if you are cursed to be seated close to someone with rancid breath or even worse if you end up in bed with someone who has become one with body odour.
Yes, my fellow Nigerians. Quite a number of you smell. Be it body or mouth odour but it has become a threat to social existence in our society because some of you are so selfish and too wicked to bother about personal hygiene. Only money money money una de think? It’s not fair ooooo.
Come on people, do you know that the way you smell can even favour or be bad luck to you when you are trying to get employed?

I know of a model that was hot and when the designer asked her to try on the clothes, the minute she took her top off. The designer “change face” and said “you know what, I’ve changed my mind, your agency will get back”.

He then went back to the casting crew and said : WTF? She smells like s***.

This also happens to male models regularly and designers complain. I understand because a friend once borrowed my shirt and I had to turn it to a rag afterwards. On the other hand, my good friend in Benin borrowed my singlet and it came back smelling of how your box smells when you travel to Jand. Get this, it was unwashed. Now that’s a clean person.

First things first- Armpit/ Body Hair
Nigerians! We live in a temperate region of the world. It’s hot and humid. Male or female , why on earth will you allow your armpit hair grow out?
Do you not know that hair in closed places traps bacteria and builds up gunk that will now smell? Habah now!

HealthTIPS: Do You Wanna Be Happy? Quit These 10 Habit by superken(op): 12:43pm On Sep 27, 2014
1. Quit procrastinating on your goals.

Some people dream of success while others wake up and work hard at it. Action and change are often resisted when they’re needed most. Get a hold of yourself and have discipline. Putting something off instantly makes it harder and scarier. What we don’t start today won’t be finished by tomorrow. And there’s nothing more stressful than the perpetual lingering of an unfinished task.
The secret to getting ahead is simply getting started. Starting, all by itself, is usually sufficient to build enough momentum to keep the ball rolling. So forget about the finish line and just concentrate on taking your first step. Say to yourself, “I choose to start this task with a small, imperfect step.” All those small steps will add up and you’ll actually get to see changes fairly quickly. Read Getting Things Done.

2. Quit blaming others and making excuses.

Stop blaming others for what you have or don’t have, or for what you feel or don’t feel. When you blame others for what you’re going through, you deny responsibility and perpetuate the problem. Stop giving your power away and start taking responsibility for your life. Blaming is just another sorry excuse, and making excuses is the first step towards failure; you and only you are responsible for your life choices and decisions.

3. Quit trying to avoid change.

If nothing ever changed there would be no sunrise the next morning. Most of us are comfortable where we are even though the whole universe is constantly changing around us. Learning to accept this is vital to our happiness and general success. Because only when we change, do we grow, and begin to see a world we never knew was possible.
And don’t forget, however good or bad a situation is now, it will change. That’s the one thing you can count on. So embrace it, and realize that change happens for a reason. It won’t always be easy or obvious at first, but in the end it will be worth it.
