Not very encouraging news for Manchester United. Guillem Balague has it on good authority that their 11th-hour bid to sign Fabio Coentrao on loan from Real Madrid has floundered: "My colleague Manu Sainz says that Coentrao will STAY at Real Madrid. And if he says it, it is true then." |
coogar: fellaini confirmed -is coentrao confirmed now? there were conflicting reports coming in from Spain |
#MUFC completes the signing of Nobodinho, forgetinho and frustratinho... signs of Gud things to come...
got me cracking |
It looked at one point as though Everton would not secure any major signings this summer, but it is now understood that as well as bringing in Marouane Fellaini from Everton, a loan deal has also been agreed to take Fabio Coentrao from Real Madrid for the season. Stay with us for confirmation of both moves. |
Also being reported that Manchester United have pulled off a last-gasp loan deal for Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao! |
#MUFC now confirm they were falsely represented by "impostors" for Herrera. More on today's farce here: #MUFC do they have to wait this long before speaking up. why dint impostors represent Arsenal Chelsea or City, Why manchester United. We are turning to the joke of the world |
Sounds like Fabio Coentrao has signed a season-long loan at #MUFC . Such an unnecessary, if intriguing, signing |
The Daily Mail are claiming that the Fellaini deal has been done for £27.5m. That's a few quid more than the release clause they allowed to expire. People in Spanish office say Herrera imposters were a stunty pranky TV show. The video on AS does point to that too, little too fake-pro that is... |
Very late rumours are linking Man United with a loan move for Fabio Coentrao. |
According to The Guardian, Manchester United abandoned their plans to sign Ander Herrera as they ultimately felt that the €36 million buy-out clause was too high. You know what? I probably agree with them on that front. Still, they've been made to look a bit amateurish tonight - even if they do still land Fellaini. which one are we going to believe now? |
If they were imposters, why cant Man Utd, as a responsible organisation, debunk the rumour all day. Maybe is one of woodward's comedian stunt. |
More now on the story that Manchester United have failed in their attempt to sign Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera amid suggestions imposters posed as United officials. |
On Herrera, here's Spanish football writer Andy West on the BBC: "Some bizarre reports coming out regarding United's collapsed Herrera deal. Apparently a group of men claiming to be United representatives spent an hour at the La Liga offices in Madrid today, but it turns out they had nothing to do with the club and were presumably just attempting to get a cut of the deal in an elaborate fraud. "Must be stressed these are just rumours but the Spanish media have published pictures of men in black suits - supposedly the United "representatives" - coming out of the league offices carrying briefcases. "All very strange and no doubt the truth will come out in the next few days." |
Fans need to demand explanation for this show of shame this summer. We are now the laughing stock of the whole of Europe. Before we know it, petersborough will be decline our offers. chaiiiiiiiiiiii |
elampiro: It's like Herrera deal has finally failed.its not 'like', it has failed ni!!!!!!! |
Woodward should be sacked. he is a jester and a joker. he can never be a negotiator. We need to recruit Daniel Levy ASAP. Aston villa, wigan and west broms of this world are tying up deals, the supposedly biggest football brand and institution is pissing on itself courtesy of mr. Funnyface. This is unpardonable and horrendous. |
UPDATE: Things are just getting more and more bizarre! According to Balague, the United contingent trying to tie up the deal for Ander Herrera weren't actually from United! AS claim that Ander has promised to speak about the "strange" situation tomorrow. |
BREAKING NEWS: Guillem Balague has told Sky Sports News that Manchester United’s deal for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera is off. United had been willing earlier today to meet Herrera’s release clause and representatives reportedly travelled to Spain to try and clinch a transfer, but they encountered unexpected problems and now it looks as though they will be unsuccessful. |
Anders deal called off after having medicals at Bilbao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 |
Spanish reports are increasingly suggesting that Ander Herrara will not join United. Here's the time to remind you that Marouane Fellaini has handed in a transfer request. Clearly they will end up paying more than the release clause they allowed to expire. Why did we allow fellaini release clause to expire? another cluelessness on the part of Mr. Deadwood. |
Rumours are high on Di Maria |
Another departure from Man Utd. Bebe has joined Pacos de Ferreira on loan. |
Chris Borg, ESPN staff MANCHESTER UNITED UPDATE: Manchester United's attempt to sign Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao is in the balance due to technical issues regarding the player's complicated contractual situation. Nick Powell off to Wigan on a season long loan deal |
Why did we have to leave all these running around till rush hour? This is crazy frustrating and annoying. |
Any update from anyone? |
Is Moyes to be blamed or that dumbhead Woodward? Our transfer this season has been an agbero-style of policy, clueless, classless and without a brainer. Oluomo, "the Chief Agbero" would have done better than this embarrassment we are calling transfer this season. |
Report indicates Anders Herrara has lowered his wages from GBP4mm to GBP3mm in his bid to get his move to United |
Spain football writer Andy West: "There could well be movement in Manchester United's bid for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera. "The player is believed to be very keen on the move and has lowered his wage demands in an attempt to make it happen. "Athletic will not budge from their stance of insisting that the full €36m of Herrera's buy-out clause is paid, so it's just a question of whether United are prepared to stretch that far - with a little bit of help from Herrera. "And there could also be yet another Spanish signing for Swansea. They are being linked with a move for Getafe striker Alvaro Vazquez, who featured for Spain's Under 21s in their European Championships triumph this summer." |
Bale is already sucking up to Ronaldo. Declares him the boss at Madrid. LOL. Ego massaging |
1down How many to go. Hope Fellaini too will be done. Thank God Woodward or Deadwood has finally arrived from Australia. |
Breaking news....... United have offered 36mm for Anders. Deal practically done |
Sky Sports News reporter James Cooper has been discussing goings on at Manchester United, on a quiet day so far for the Premier League champions. David Moyes is inside Carrington, and his primary target is probably Marouan Fellaini. But there is no doubt about it, Manchester United are leaving it late. I think Manchester United fans here at the training ground will be getting a little bit twitchy. |
