Sincerely let us be realistic. How many of our players can walk into city team presently. Maybe Vidic RVP and Rooney, that is max.

Glazers and dumbhead Woodward should share part of the blame. Glazers for being stingy and Woodward for being clueless about the terminology called transfer.

Even Spurs seems to have technically gifted players that can adapt to different type of plays and they certainly have more depth.

Look at the top teams in Europe, which one are we actually better of in player qualities and quantity.

It's time Glazers are meant to realise this.

Looking at the table this morning makes me sick the more. League toppers are 5points ahead and even Southampton, Everton and Spurs are ahead of us due our shameful shambolic performance. The best excuse a man utd coach could come up with is, we have had difficult fixtures. Please, spare me that. What happened to team rotation?

We have started playing like Everton and Everton is playing like United.

We have some set of perceived relatively easy fixtures next, let us see what will happen.

I pray Man City only trophy for this season will be Man Utd trophy that Arsenal used to console themselves before. The season is not lost yet, but Mr Coach needs to get his heart together asap.

coogar: young is an easy target.
when there's a poor general performance, united fans look for a scapegoat and blame the entire performance on him. did young play any worse than valencia, rio and welbeck today?
Young made himself the easy target due to perpetual mediocre performance. If he had given us a virtuoso performance today, he would definitely have been exempted from the tirades against the whole team.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by superstar1(m): 9:49pm On Sep 22, 2013
coogar: young & evra got their own side of the pitch tight. zabaleta is city's secret weapon but he rarely got a sniff today. smalling/valencia were like little lambs out there for nasri/kolarov.

i don't even think valencia possesses any form of intelligence. this tactical approach is what rafael/himself used to destroy city & chelsea last season in the first half of the season & yet he got sold on the same old trick.
@ coogar

The whole team should be castigated. I saw vidic Evra and rooney on the pitch, the rest were having a hangover of burukutu drink. Don't even go near that your little pet that is slightly better than bebe and djemba djemba ----- Young. I have stopped blaming the guy really, he can't play more than the ability of his brain (except he wants to run mad).

Those are suppositions which could also have turned out differently from the picture you've painted.
What if Moyes had tinkered with the team and we still lost? Wouldn't you have asked why he didn't stick with the team that won?
Remember how we would get pissed at Fergie for making some crazy selections that cost us games?

I'm not saying you're wrong and Moyes should not make different player combinations sometimes to find the most effective ones; I'm just saying it's also not a bad idea if a coach decides not to change a winning formula.
'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' kinda thing.
I agree with you.

We have practically played the same set of players in all our matches. Does he think he is still in Everton with small squad. For goodness sake, this is the beginning of the season,
He needs to rotate to get the best possible first 11. Using some players till fatigue start telling before he decides to use others is not to be supported in anyway. Some can cope and while some will never cope with such fixtures.

Like you said, our players were horrendous clueless lazy, bereft of ideas and without any sense of urgency or passion today.

Losing the game is not the big deal, it is the manner.

dademola: in d 3 big games this season, man utd looked too ordinary. Twas worse against chelsea( we were playing at home for God's sake). Too early to judge moyes, bt i dnt think it's too early to start taking note of certain things
I am not judging him really. He has my support but that does not mean we should not criticise him if need be. As predicted, the press are already going for his head.

Cristalz: Okay superstar1, my latest forum padi grin , do tell. . .what should Moyes have done exactly?
Subs? Who should he have subbed given the overall shitty crappy performance?

P.S. I don't think Moyes is the overly expressive type (as in, given to outbursts of rage) like Fergie or Mourinho.
You are not serious joor. Lol.

Yea Moyes is not the expressive type but he is no more in charge of a mid table team. He is in charge of a team, which is in the league of teams that victory, pride, ego and bragging right mean alot to. So he has to be more expressive on the sideline and dressing room.

If I were him, I would have given the nod to nani ahead of young. Kagawa would have played behind Rooney. Yes the likes of fernadinho and Toure might dominate kagawa in the midfield but his intelligent 1-2 passes and needle passes could be to our advantage. Nani would have pinned zabaleta to the back and Valencia should have been made to realise his defense duties after the 1st goal. rio would not have been a starter for me, Evans should have been called upon. That is rotation and tinkering with the team a little, rather than swallowing the initial line up hook line and sinker.

Cristalz: And you're as smart as the love-child borne of a half-wit ninny and an air-headed dork. I stand in reverent awe. grin
Since when has it become a crime for a coach to use the same team that had recently won a UCL game in grand style??
If United had won today I am absolutely positive this balderdash won't spew from your yap hole.

Victory is embedded in the DNA of United. . .how does that explain our shameful crashing outta the UCL under Fergie last season??
Had United been winning every single silverware available to be won in every single season under Fergie?
My point, numbskull, is that it is not every single time a coach's words spur a team on to victory. Even Fergie knows that. It's a simple fact advanced dopes like you cannot comprehend.
You say "Yes, Fergie lost games", and then you turn right around to contradict yourself by saying "fergie team was renowned for being come back kings and always snatching victory from the jaws of lions". Nor be only lions, na dinosaurs.
If Fergie's team always snatched victory, how come Fergie also lost games? Can you now see your extreme dumbness exposed to the world??

If Moyes was at fault, I would not hesitate to say so. But tonight, I will not blame Moyes for the failure of a classy team to come out on the pitch and do the basic things they get paid to do, from simple marking to simple tracking back to simple accurate passes.
That's football 101.
If you are proud to say your team needs a motivational speech to do those basic things, then you aren't even worth my time.

You are obviously emotional about today's loss (grab a Kleenex, k?)and using past performances to judge Moyes today.
But take it from someone more level-headed than you currently are. . .Moyes didn't get his selection wrong.
Read me right: It is possible to win City with today's line up; the guys just refused to give it a decent shot. Hang yourself if it burns.
The boys refused to come to the pitch and the Coach was clueless enough not to respond to it. What is he being paid for then, if the supposedly coach of the team's head is only up on the day then players decide to show up for matches.
I am not interested in winning the match at all cost but please we can play better than that, have more hunger drive and passion than that.

I have seen worst calamitous display by the team but the drive and passion that comes afterwards during the cause of the game give up pride and joy not this we are not showing up display by players and our dear coach was busy nodding his head in agreement.

You throw insults and when you get your own medicine back you cry gender. It's a faceless forum, dude. . .forget the purple 'f'; I could be a whiskey-slinging Irish all-male barber.

I already told you that it's not just about Leverkusen, it's about the performance. . .PERFORMANCE of the same guys under the same coach on the night.
And you cannot blame a coach for sticking with a winning team. Heck, it's not like he picked aliens off the street; these our our regular starters for crying out loud. So what's your point exactly??

And I repeat, the fact that the team stayed piss-poor in 2nd half is insufficient reason for you to say that Moyes did/said nothing to them in the dressing room.
It is not every single time a coach's words have positive effect on a team's performance. You make it seem like Unityed have never ever lost under Alex Ferguson 'cos he always spouts magical lyrics in the dressing room.
Abeg hear yourself before letting others hear you.

P.S. I could apologize for my lingo but it would be totally insincere so with all due respect, sod off if you cannot handle it. grin grin
Indeed you a confirmed first class retardeen.
How many world class coach repeats the same team for 2matches in modern day. Rotation is the name idiot.

Yes fergie lost games but fergie team was renowned for being come back kings and always snatching victory from the jaws of lions, that is a coach that fires up is team in 2nd half even in the face of below average performance in 1st. If it is not every single time the word of coaches motivates team, victory will not be embedded in the DNA of MUFC.

Your idiocy is world class, when the best you can do is to exonerate the Coach.
No Futbol analyst will spare DM on this. He took him how many hours to realise he needed a 3man CM.

I am his fan and I do support him but that doesn't mean I should not point out his errors when he errs

It was Young that chose himself for the match instead of Nani. I pray that guy crocks 5months injury. Cardiff city will never even take him on loan. Can you imagine crystal palace having a better player than united. Jeezzzzz. I can't forgive Fergie for buying the guy. I pray they do not offer him a new contract oh.

Cristalz: Apparently you've been the victim of a lobotomy. That would certainly explain a lot.
So it's now the sole fault of Rio United lost today??

Were you present in the dressing room to know that nothing happened?? Or you're deluded enough to believe you're clairvoyant.
Because the performance stayed piss-poor in 2nd half you believe Moyes said nothing to them. Without any proof.
Please stop making donkeys seem smartgrin

Is it too much for your brain to process the fact that the basics of football were almost completely forgotten by all the players today?
What was Moyes supposed to do, ask to sub the entire 11?? Or give 'em all a sniff or two of cocaine undecided
Dude, this wasn't a regular game where one midfielder and one striker kept screwing things up and you wonder why the manager did nothing about it.
I will respect the fact that you are a lady to overlook your uncouth and unlady-like language but ma gbe Sara e koja mosalasi sha.

So city is in the class of Leverkusen that he will repeat the same tactics against them. We can keep using Leverkusen line up till end of season then.

The team did not show up in 1st half is explainable but still bringing vitafoam to the pitch in 2nd half in inexcusable and is down to the coach.

Spurs was leading us by 3 in 2007 and we responded in 2nd to hit them by 4. We were leading City by 2 last year, they responded in 2nd and equalized. Thanks to RVP that spoilt their party.

Am I his backroom staff that I will know what he said to the team. If you put on your coke bottle goggle, you will see there was no effect of such speech on the pitch if there was any
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by superstar1(m): 6:22pm On Sep 22, 2013

Cristalz: Oga, beg some roadside dollar-selling mallam for a tiny part of his brain.

It's not about Leverkusen, it's about the performance of these same guys under the very same coach against Leverkusen.
But then, you obviously need me to explain that to you, yet in your tiny mind you're feeling an analyst.

According to you, they played this horrendously because Moyes is coach and not Fergie.
The UCL final against Barca where United played like pissants, who was coach? Moyes abi?? Quit trying to act like your brain is all there.
I repeat, there is nothing wrong with a coach deciding to stick with the same side that produced a performance as beautiful as that of Tuesday night.
Smash your computer if you don't like it.
Calm your retardeen brain down.

Losing a game is no big deal. Deciding to play Rio in 3 straight games is a major mistake. Even if he played any team he wants, did u see any response in second half to suggest anything happened in the dressing room. They were not fired up for the second one bit. Is that the fault of the players too. Plzzzzz.

The players deserve their own part of the blame but I won't close my eyes to DM fault in anyway
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by superstar1(m): 6:04pm On Sep 22, 2013
Purist: I knew it was only a matter of time before someone draws a comparison with Fergie.

It seems with every bad game United has now, people are so eager to tell us "if it were Fergie", as if Fergie never had his own moments too. Looking back now, I'm so happy we lost 1 - 6 to this same Man City just 2 seasons ago when Fergie was the manager. If not, everyone here would have been telling us how this kind of result would NEVER have happened under Fergie.

You guys criticizing the manager are just being fickle and unreasonable. We had a bad game, yes. It hurts, definitely. But y'all need to chill the Bleep out with the witch-hunts.
Fergie had his bad day and he was heavily criticized for it.

Losing a game is no big deal, is the manner of losing it. Not responding in 2nd half is catastrophic. City got away with the 1-6 score line because the torrential goals came in 2nd half and we went one man down
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by superstar1(m): 5:55pm On Sep 22, 2013
Cristalz: Answer me this. . .was Fergie the coach on Tuesday night against Leverkusen??
So they conceded within the first minute of the second half, not 'cos of their defensive and every other kinda mistake, but because they can "try that" with Moyes.
Bros, dey reason na. grin
See what you are saying?

Is Leverkusen in the league of city. So we should keep approaching all matches with the same matches and tactics. Pweety, borrow urself brain ie ya ra e ni brain

You wanna blame a coach for sticking to a winning side? A seamless winning side for that matter, with the exception of a few errors here 'n there.

This has nothing to do with Moyes. The guys simply refused to play since kick-off.
It has everything to do with DM. If they refused to show up in 1st half, I agree could be due to the players lackadaisical attitude. Not showing up in 2nd is the coach's fault. Can they try that with Fergie ? Plzzzz

There has been no performance at all for Moyes to even work with today.
Moyes deserve part of the blame. He started young ahead of zaha and nani. He started rio ahead of Evans and smalling ahead of Fabio.
