there is nothing like a balanced team. it is almost a perfection that is not easy to achieve.

barca with all their midfield generalissimo are very deficient in defence; the last time united had a almost balanced team was when tevez, Ronaldo and hargo were still in the team. the most balanced team, i ever saw, was the machines JM first produced --peter cech terry lampard drogba makalele essien etc

the reason while your results are coming this way is due to not having steel and still not due to it. JM is a coach that plays a highly regimented physical machine football. he uses men of steel. follow the profile of his team from porto to chelsea to inter to RM. the set of flair playing guys you have in the midfield now -- Mata Oscar Schurrie Hazard, and the likes of Torres -- are not JM's typical work tools and can he succeed with the players at his disposal, time will tell. I hope he will not be booted out before time will tell.

My point is, JM is not the appropriate coach for the kind of players in chelsea presently. If he survives this season, be expecting a massive clear out in summer. he only uses effectively, players that he can mode to a ruthless and efficient cyborg mode

I do pity other teams by the time we are out of debt. Do you know the amount of money that will be at the disposal of Utd. Hmmmm. United will just turn to the China of football. We will be lending money out to Madrid and Barca grin grin for them to buy their ferrari and bugatti players. Can't wait!!!

Manchester United have announced record annual revenue, rising by 13.4% to £363.2million for the year to June 30, 2013.

With new deals being announced on almost a weekly basis, it is no surprise commercial revenues have risen a huge 29.7% to £152.5m for the year ended June 30, 2013.

It is the most significant rise in the 13.4% overall increase in turnover to a club record of £363.2m. The club's debt has fallen by 10.9% to £389.2million.

The adjusted profit for the period is £17.2m.

Wages have risen 11.6% to £180.5m, partly as a result of the club taking on more staff to work on its new digital operation, but also an increase in player salaries.

United have reported a rise in sponsorship revenue alone of 44.1% to £90.9m.

The news was revealed on the same day the club announced regional sponsorship agreements with Commercial Bank of Qatar and Emirates NBD Bank.

United have signed five-year deals with the banking organisations that will see them become official financial services partners in Qatar and United Arab Emirates respectively.

As part of the separate agreements, both organisations will have the rights to produce United-branded credit, debit and prepaid cards. In addition, Emirates NBD Bank will also market its own Manchester United savings account.

Dayokanu and A40 are even shouting Leverkusen is the 3rd best team in BL.

The last I can remember, the 3rd best team in EPL held the supposedly best team in Europe to draw or Leverkusen started the match with 3players short. Abeg, look for another argument. That is totally off it
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by superstar1(m): 10:55pm On Sep 17, 2013
dayokanu: If the bl is rubbish how come Leverkusen haven't won it yet
That is the question you should answer and not me.
Is it only champions that are in UCL or how does not winning BL become something to be celebrated.

dayokanu: Lars Bender is better than every man Utd midfielder was exactly what I said.

Isnt it shameful you lot are rolling out drums for beating a club who have never won the Bundesliga in History?
So they should have pulled out of UCL then, just because they have not won the rubbish bundesliga before.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by superstar1(m): 10:05pm On Sep 17, 2013
Dayokanu, you were mouthing before the match, telling us how lars bender is the next thing that ever happened since Pele Maradona Zidane and Ronaldinho graced football.

coogar: young is way more effective than giggs...who is giggs?

you got jokes, don't you?

young was more effective - he got an assist and he was the catalyst that got the game easier for us. adnan came on after palace's 10 players were already knackered with nothing to offer on the pitch. young played mostly against 11 men when palace defenders were fresh & up for it.

my grandma would have performed better than adnan when he came on. are you really comparing the fatigue levels of the palace players after playing with a man short throughout the 2nd half to the one in the first half when they were fresher with 11 players?

get some perspective.....
you are just as obsessed with Young, just the same way Elampiro is obsessed with Rooney. you are entitled to your view. from my point of view, YOUNG aka ''Reverse'' -- thanks to Elampiro cannot and i repeat cannot, command a shirt in a warri wolves shirt talkless of my darling super eagles. period. him playing for 3 lions clearly demonstrates either the shortage of quality players at the disposal of Hodgson or it reinforces the already well repeated line of the british press always over hyping their players. Simple.case closed for me.

coogar: it doesn't matter what other sites define as a long pass. if they are credible, they should have gotten the contract to compute the stats for the premier league. however, opta did not recognise the rooney pass to RVP on saturday as a long pass. it falls short of their standard.

if it irks you, go & take panadol!

evra defends better than baines. defending is the primary role of a defender not attacking. baines is a set-piece taker for everton, evra isn't. however, i can understand why teams who don't use out & out wingers rely on baines to provide the width.

so opta is wrong with the stats of baines? are you deliberately trolling or you have nothing tangible to say? baines is a defender, not an attacking midfielder or winger - so i don't understand what you mean by other clubs in europe.

these eyes also saw roy keane playing against bayern in the 1999 final. the credibility of your eyes is questionable. opta are a reputable company paid by the premier league to supply statistics for the best league in the world. i know who i would put my trust in.

this is quite strange.....
nani is the only winger better than ashley young @ man utd. young is miles better than giggs, valencia or anyone else in man utd. if passing back & cutting back retains possession for the team then i am happy. i'd rather that than the hollywood passes of giggs or the cluelessness of valencia.
If the best of Young at his age can only be better than Giggs at 40, that sums it all up for him.

Valencia has more to offer offensively, counter attacking and defensively than that chicken head called Young.

Be sincere Coogar, in the game against palace, who was more effective out of young and adnan?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by superstar1(m): 1:37pm On Sep 16, 2013
[quote author=coogar]but his statistics disagree with his critics. even on saturday, he won us the game. assisted the first goal & effectively reduced palace to 10 men and the match became easier from then on. [/quote

You are right about him winning the game for us, but in overall perspective, putting his man utd career's into perspective he is an embarrassment to his U10 coach. he does 3 things:

1. pass to the back

2. cut the ball back and

3. whoop his crosses either senselessly above everybody or the first standing defender will nod it out.

in a mediocre team, he is good. in a manchester united shirt he is capital zero.
