elampiro: Without any mojor signing in the midfield, for the overall benefit of the team it will be best to keep Rooney in the midfield to help in stabilizing the build up and holding possession, should he stay. It will enable also also see how this so much forward hype of RVP-Kagawa-Chicha works out. One problem still have to be that speculation has it Rooney doesn't want the midfield role. Also, where does Welbeck comes in? Welbeck was our best forward in the preseason. He offered the greatest threats while Lingaard was the highest scorer.

I have always believed the Little Pea is more of an impact player than a starting player. I can't remember any game where he impressed from a starting position. It will always be better to start welbeck ahead of him
