My best discourse that I usually love reading is the endless intellectual altercations between the old rugged cross Dede1/Duru1/DerideGull and Katsumoto on the civil war. Dede1 was a war veteran that fought for Biafra. It seems Katz was a journalist that covered the war. They both had divergent views about the war and their intellectual contribution laced with their experience made those 2 to be in a class of their own.

I repeat tribalism on NL has reduced to a large extent, probably due to fear of ban. What is obtainable today is nothing compared with the days of toxic and venomous tribal bashing.
