Who hates to revert to disbelief (Atheism) after Allah has brought (saved) him out from it, as he hates to be thrown in fire." Narrated by Anas Hadith no: 21 3) The fire will be kindled, first with 3 sets of persons.. What are the qualities of these people?A man who had died as a martyr (Shayed). A man who had acquired and imparted knowledge and read the Qur’an. How it is done/performed As soon as a person hears of a specific blessing, it is recommended for him to immediately prostrate to Allah. This is a prostration like any other prostration – in terms of prostrating on seven limbs and saying: ﺳﺒﺤﺎﻥ ﺭﺑﻲ ﺍﻷﻋﻠﻰ Glorified is my Lord, the Most High A person should then also thank Allah for the blessing. 5a) He finished his ablution, puts his finger in his mouth then raised it to the skies before uttering the Shaadah...... And when they have prostrated, let them be [in position] behind you and have the other group come forward which has not [yet] prayed and let them pray with you, taking precaution and carrying their arms. Those who disbelieve wish that you would neglect your weapons and your baggage so they could come down upon you in one [single] attack. Wizeboy:Prayer is the second pillar of Islam. It is obligatory on every Muslim, male or female. It is a tie between the slave and his Lord. Prayer draws us nearer to Allah The Prophet, sallallaahu álayhi wa sallam, received all Islamic obligations and commandments from Allah through the Angel of Revelation, Jibreel (Gabriel), except for Prayer. It is the only act of worship that Allah directly commanded His Prophet to perform on the night of Israa` and Mi`raaj (Night Journey and Ascension to Heaven). This is attributed to the fact that Prayer is highly esteemed and a noble act of worship in a Muslim's life. Through Prayer, a Muslim transcends worldly limitations and aspires to attain the Mercy of Allah where he feels he is very near to Him. The first thing a Muslim will be held accountable for on the Day of Judgment is Prayer. If his Prayer was properly performed, the rest of his acts of worship will be considered correct. On the other hand, if his Prayer was unsound, the rest of his acts of worship will be considered as being also unsound. Prayer is the only pillar of Islam that a Muslim performs in all circumstances: Prayer is the cornerstone of the Islamic religion. If a person establishes it, he establishes all pillars of the religion, but if he disregards it, he actually disregards all pillars of the religion. It is the only pillar of Islam that a Muslim must perform regardless of the circumstances he may be in. For example: A Muslim may not have money and hence no Zakaah is due on him. A Muslim may be sick and therefore unable to fast. He may not be able to perform Hajj. * Yet for Prayer, it must be performed regardless of one's condition: A sick person who can not stand up to perform Prayer may perform it while he is sitting down. If still one cannot sit down, he can perform prayer while lying on one of his sides. If one cannot stand up to perform Prayer because an enemy or a wild beast is chasing him, he can perform it while riding his horse whatever the direction he may take and he can move his head instead of bowing and prostrating. During battles, Muslims must perform Prayer all according to their abilities even if they are encountering their enemies. They should perform Prayer regardless of the place where they are or the direction they are taking. Again moving the head slightly is an alternative to bowing and prostrating. Obligatory Prayer A Muslim must perform five Prayer during the day and night with a total number of rak`ahs of 17. Such Prayer are: 1.Al-Fajr (Dawn) Prayer: two rak`ahs 2.Ath-Thuhr (Noon) Prayer: four rak`ahs 3.Al-Asr (Afternoon) Prayer: four rak`ahs 4.Al-Maghrib (Sunset) Prayer: three rak`ahs 5.Al-Eshaa' (Night) Prayer: four rak`ahs 2) How should you Walk?ETIQUETTES OF WALKING (Brothers) Walk on a medium pace in the way. Do not rush to become, an object of ridicule for the onlookers, nor drag your feet so wearily that people might think you are ill and start making anxious enquiries after your health. Walk with poise and dignity with eyes cast down. Do not continue to look sideways at everything along the path Walk humbly with even steps. Do not walk arrogantly and proudly. Strictly observe the following etiquettes while walking along the road. Do not stop or sit on the way with the object of staring at the passers-by. If on occasions you must stop or sit on the way, you should follow these rules: Keep your eyes downcast; Remove harmful bits and pieces out of the way. Respond to the ‘salam’ of others Persuade the people to do good and prevent them from doing evil. Show the way to travellers who have lost direction. Help those’who are in trouble or are facing hardship ETIQUETTES OF WALKING (Sisters) Whenever righteous women have to pass along the road out of any need or necessity, they should wrap their bodies, garments and all pieces of physical adornment carefully with a ‘burqa’ or a sheet and cover their faces with a veil. If there is any other kind of adornment that is hidden, women are forbidden to make any movements that would reveal what is hidden, because Allah says: (And let them not stamp their feet...) to the end of it. From that, women are also prohibited from wearing scent and perfume when they are going outside the home, lest men should smell their perfume. Abu `Isa At-Tirmidhi recorded that Abu Musa, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Prophet said: (Every eye commits fornication and adultery, and when a woman puts on perfume and passes through a gathering, she is such and such) -- meaning an adulteress. By the same token, women are also forbidden to walk in the middle of the street, because of what this involves of wanton display. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) affirmed: “Collision with a mud- stained swine drenched in stinking slush is tolerable, yet it is inadmissible that a stranger should rub shoulders with a female”. 3) How should you Talk?Islam comprehensively addresses all aspects of life, and requires a Muslim to be distinct in his character, creed, worship, manners, etiquettes and appearance. When a muslim want to talk or have conversation or discussion, a Muslim must maintain some qualities because Allah commands us to guard our tongues and His Messenger warned us against setting them loose. Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported: “I heard the Prophet saying: “A person utters a word thoughtlessly (i.e., without thinking about whether it is good or evil) and as a result, will plummet into the fire of Hell deeper than the distance between the east and the west.” ” [Al-Bukhari & Muslim] Before addressing others take a glance at yourself, and ask yourself whether this is an occasion which demands speaking. If the answer is in the affirmative, then speak, otherwise silence is much better. To avoid talking unnecessarily on appropriate occasions is a worship of great rewards. ' Abdullah bin Masood says: "By the Being other than whom there is no God, on this earth there is none more deserving of long imprisonment than the tongue." (Tibrani) Abdullah Ibn Abbas says: "Five things are more valuable than the ,horses with the black-striped legs: 1. Do not indulge in senseless talk, because it is useless and absurd, and I am uncomfortable from the fear of your committing a sin. 2. Talk purposefully when there is an occasion for it, for there are many people who talk without an occasion. This is a drawback. 3. Do not indulge in hot discussion with an intelligent man or with a fool. If he is intelligent, he will be angry with you and will hate you, and if he is a fool and uneducated, he will try to harm you. 4. In the absence of your brother speak of him in the same words in which you would like him to speak of you in your absence, and consider him innocent of the thing which you would like him to consider you innocent of. 5. Act like a man who thinks that he will be rewarded for a good deed and will be punished on committing a crime." (lbn Abi-al-duniya) A Muslim can develop these attributes in himself only when he keeps his tongue in control, and is able to keep silent wherever necessary. He should be able to hold the reins of his tongue in his hand; wherever necessary he should speak, and wherever it is not necessary he should keep quiet. Those who are ruled by their tongue, they are pushed back, and in the fields of life they receive insults and disrepute. 4) In the sciences of hadiths, what's known as the Golden isnad (chain)?Golden Chain is the soundest of all chains of hadith transmission the narrations of Ahlul Bayt were often referred to as the Golden Chain of Narration. The isnad : Ash-Shafi'i ---Malik --- Nafi' --- 'Abdullah ibn'Umar 5) Arrange these schools of Jurisprudence in the orders which they were formed;Hanafi Maliki Shafi'i Hanbali |

Sissie:Iddah is a period in which a woman waits after the death of her husband or divorce, and she is not allowed to marry during this period. B. Explain the different types of iddahThere are three types of Iddah: The first type of Iddah is that of birth. That is, a woman must wait until she delivers her child before she can remarry. A common erroneous idea among people is that a pregnant woman cannot be divorced. This is not the case at all. Rather there is a consensus on this point among the scholars, and that this is a Sunnah divorce and heresy (bidah). There is no dispute regarding its validity. The second type of Iddah is the iddah of menses. This means a woman is not allowed to marry until she has three menstruations. As soon as the third period ends, Iddah ends. This is the view of many of the elite companions such as Umar, Ali and ibn Masud, and it was narrated by ibn al-Qayyim. This is also the view by the majority of contemporary scholars such as ibn Baaz and Uthaymeen. The third type of waiting period is the Iddah of months. This applies to women who have passed the age of menstruation. The Iddah in this case is three months. As for a woman who is divorced by her husband before he has consummated his marriage with her, then there is no waiting period that applies to her based on verse number 49 from Surat Al-Ahzaab (33). 2 what are the procedures for a woman to seek divorceThere are basically three ways for a wife can seek a divorce: 1. Ask her husband that she no longer wishes to remain his wife, and the husband accedes to her request and pronounces a divorce on her. 2. If the husband refuses to divorce her, she has the right to Initiate a divorce proceedings in a Shariah Court, whereby the Judge will study the conditions and reasons for seeking divorce, and then summon the husband and give him an option: either he accedes to the wifes divorce request and pronounces divorce on her, or the Court will use its authority and divorce the couple. 3. If the husband does not pronounce the divorce and the Judge sees valid reason for divorce, the Shariah Judge has the authority to divorce the couple. Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 229: A divorce is only permissible twice: after that the parties should either hold together on equitable terms or separate with kindness. It is not lawful for you (men) to take back any of your gifts (from your wives) except when both parties fear that they would be unable to keep the limits ordained by Allah. If ye (judges) do indeed fear that they would be unable to keep the limits ordained by Allah there is no blame on either of them if she give something for her freedom. These are the limits ordained by Allah; so do not transgress them. If any do transgress the limits ordained by Allah such persons wrong (themselves as well as others). 3. Name 5 female companions of the Prophet SAW excluding his family members and write a little about them Salma bint Umays was a sahaba of Muhammad . She was from the Khathaam tribe. Her father was Umays ibn Maadd, and her mother was Hind bint Awf from the Himyar tribe. Her full siblings were Asma bint Umays and Awn ibn Umays, and her maternal siblings included Maymuna bint al-Harith , Lubaba bint al-Harith and Mahmiya ibn al-Jaz'i. Salma and her sister Asma were among the early converts to Islam . Sumayyah bint Khayyat was the first Muslim to become a shahid . She was a slave in the possession of Abu Hudhayfa ibn al-Mughira , a member of the Makhzum clan in Mecca. She was not a black woman, but she was of Ethiopian ancestry. Fatimah bint al-Khattab was the sister of the second Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab along with Zayd ibn al-Khattab and one of the early women followers of the Islamic prophet, Muhammad . She was the youngest daughter of Khattab ibn Nufayl , who married her off with his nephew, hanif Sa'id ibn Zayd . Fatima along with her husband both converted to Islam together at the same time. Nasibah bint Ka'b al-Maziniyyah [aka Umm ‘Umarah] was a famous Muslim warrior. She took part in a number of battles and treaties, such as the treaty of 'Aqabah, Al-Hudaybiyah, Khaybar and Hunayn. Her heroic conduct at Hunayn was no less marvellous than her heroic conduct at Uhud. At the time of Abu Bakr’s Khilafah, she was present at Al-Yamamah where she fought brilliantly and received eleven wounds and lost her hand. At the battle of Uhud, she would continuously take up her sword to defend the Prophet, peace be upon him, acting as a human shield to protect him from the arrows of the enemy. The Prophet noticed this, and later said, “Wherever I turned, to the left or the right, I saw her fighting for me.” Asmā' Bint Abu Bakr was one of the companions of prophet Muhammad(pbuh). Asma was one of the first to accept Islam, being listed fifteenth on Ibn Ishaq's list of "those who accepted Islam at the invitation of Abu Bakr. |
Sissie: Sa'ad Al-Aswad (RA) One of the black companions of the Prophet (PBUH) was Sa'ad Al-Aswad As-Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him). Sa'ad was from the Ansar and suffered discrimination in Al-Madinah. Due to an inferiority complex, Sa'ad asked the Prophet (PBUH) if he too could enter into Jannah because of his low position among the Muslims. The Prophet (PBUH) replied to him that he was entitled to the same reward as other believers. Sa'ad then inquired that if he was an equal believer then why would none of the Arabs allow him to marry one of their daughters. The Prophet (PBUH) then told Sa'ad to go to the home of 'Amr bin Wahb to ask him for his daughter for marriage. When Sa'ad told ibn Wahb that the Prophet sent him to request for his daughter for marriage, Ibn Wahb became angry at the proposal. Ibn Wahb also stated to him that didn't he know that his daughter is known for her beauty! When Ibn Wahb's daughter heard this, she told her father that she could not turn down a proposal that came at the suggestion of the Messenger of Allah ! Sa'ad was later martyred in a battle in which it is narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) wept over him while holding him in his lap. Sayyidina Bilaal (RA) A former slave, freed by Sayyidina Abu Bakr RA, Bilaal RA underwent great trials in defense of Tauheed. He was the first Muadhin of Islam and had the unique honour of performing the Athaan in Makkah, Madinah and Al Quds. He was also a great Mujahid, participating in great Islamic battles both during the era of the Messenger SAW as well as after his passing. Nabi SAW conveyed to him the glad tidings of hearing his footsteps in Paradise. He would be known among the Sahaba RA as their master. He passed away and is buried in Damascus. Ammar bin Yasir (RA) One of the companions who has several narrated merits pertaining to his faith, personality and resilience is 'Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him). 'Ammar was one of the earliest Muslims to accept Islam and was regularly tortured along with his family. Once while being severely tortured, he unwillingly recanted Islam. He later came to the Prophet (PBUH) in a state of tears saying that he verbally recanted Islam but did not mean it, in which the Prophet (PBUH) wiped away his tears and recited Surah 16, ayah 106, “Whoever disbelieves in Allah after belief except who is forced and whose heart is still content with faith…” After much persecution, 'Ammar with other companions migrated to Abyssinia finding protection under a just Christian king though ibn Ishaq disputes that he was one of those companions in Abyssinia. He later migrated with other companions to Al-Madinah making him within a select group of companions that made two migrations for the sake of Allah . 'Ammar later participated in the major campaigns to protect the Muslim community including Badr and Uhud. He also was a witness to the Farewell Pilgrimage. 'Ammar later achieved martyrdom at the Battle of Siffin. Mihja (RA) One of the famed companions of the Prophet (PBUH) is Mihja' bin Salih (May Allah be pleased with him). Mihja' was one of the early adherents of Islam in Mecca, and one of those who migrated for the sake of Allah to Al-Madinah. After migration according to At-Tabari and others, Mihja' was the first to be martyred at Ghazwah Badr (battle of Badr). Abu Dharr (RA) One of the honorable companions, who is known for his faithfulness and concern for the poor was Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him). Abu Dharr's full name was Jundab bin Junadah from the Tribe of Ghifar. In the Era of Ignorance, the Ghifari tribe was known for banditry and alcohol consumption besides worshiping idols. Abu Dharr, however, turned away from these tribal norms even before embracing Islam. After meeting the Prophet (PBUH), Abu Dharr swiftly accepted Islam. He went to the Ka'bah to publicly declare his faith in which Quraysh proceeded to beat him. He went the following day to proclaim his faith again in which he was beaten again. After days of doing this and facing beatings, the Prophet (PBUH) told him to go back to his tribe, so he could declare his message to them. He later migrated to Al-Madinah and participated in Ghazwah Badr (battle of Badr) and other expeditions with the companions. 2. Explain the treaty of hudaibiyyahThe Treaty of Hudaybiyyah (Arabic: صلح الحديبية) was an important event that took place during the formation of Islam. It was a pivotal treaty between Muhammad, representing the state of Medina, and the Quraysh tribe of Mecca in March 628 (corresponding to Dhu al-Qi'dah, 6 AH). In the sixth year, the Messenger of Allah (Peace and blessings of Allah upon him) announced his intent to perform `Umrah and set out with 1400 men, unarmed except for the sheathed sword normally carried by a traveller. His companions drove with them the sacrificial animals. When the Quraysh learned of this, they gathered to prevent them from reaching al-Masjid al-Haraam. As they neared Makkah, the Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah upon him) led his companions in salat al-khawf. Then, he started toward Makkah but his she-camel, al-Qaswa, sat down. They said, "She has become obstinate," but he replied, "She has not become obstinate, but has been prevented as the elephant was prevented. By Allah, the Quraysh will not ask of me anything today which enhances the sanctity of Allah's religious rites and symbols but that I will give it to them." (Al-Bukhari) Then he (Peace and blessings of Allah upon him) shouted at his camel and she got up. He (Peace and blessings of Allah upon him) returned to a well at Hudaybiyyah having little water, and pulled an arrow from his quiver, jabbing it into the well. The water flowed so abundantly that they scooped it up in their hands. Budayl ibn Warqaa' al Khuza'i informed the Quraysh of the Prophet's (Peace and blessings of Allah upon him) peaceful intent. They then sent `Urwah ibn Mas`ud(may Allah be pleased with them), who was told something similar. He also noticed how much the companions loved the Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah upon him) and obeyed him; he went back and informed the Quraysh of what he had seen and heard. Then they sent a man from Bani Kinanah named al-Hulays ibn `Alqamah, and after him, Mikraz ibn Hafs. While he was talking to the Messenger of Allah(Peace and blessings of Allah upon him), Suhayl ibn `(may Allah be pleased with them) approached. The Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah upon him) said, "Your matter has now become easy." A peace treaty was drawn up between the two sides. If the Muslims had chosen to fight at that time they would have been victorious, but they wanted to uphold the sanctity of the Ka`bah. The treaty consisted of the following: 1. Both parties would cease hostilities for a period of ten years. 2. The parties would not interfere with the free movement of one another. 3. The Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah upon him) would return that year, but the Muslims would be permitted to enter Makkah the following year. 4. Any Muslim man coming from the Quraysh to join the Muslims would be sent back, but any man going from the Muslims to Quraysh would not be sent back. 5. Any tribes other than the Quraysh that wished to enter an alliance with Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah upon him) were free to do so, and any that wished to enter an alliance with the Quraysh were free to do so. Results of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah Many of the companions were opposed to this treaty and considered its clauses unfair and biased against the Muslims. But with time they, perceived its positive results and beneficial effects. Among them were: 1. The Quraysh's acknowledgement of the Muslim state - for an agreement can only be drawn up between two equals. This had its effect on the other tribes. 2. Fear was introduced into the hearts of the polytheists and hypocrites and many of them now expected that Islam would triumph. Signs of this were apparent in its acceptance by a number of prominent Qurayshites such as Khalid ibn al-Waleed(may Allah be pleased with them)and `Amr ibn al-`Aas(may Allah be pleased with them). 3. The opportunity was increased to spread Islam and make it known to people, which led to its acceptance by many of the tribes. 4. The Muslims were no longer in danger from the Quraysh, so they could concentrate on the threat from the Jews and other hostile tribes. Thus, the battle of Khaybar took place after the treaty of Hudaybiyyah. 5. Negotiations leading to the treaty allowed the allies of Quraysh to understand the position of the Muslims and sympathize with it. When al-Hulays ibn `Alqamah saw them reciting the talbiyah for `Umrah, he returned to his associates and said, "I saw the sacrificial animals garlanded and marked, so I do not think they should be prevented from the House of Allah." 6. The treaty of Hudaybiyyah enabled the Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah upon him) to prepare for the battle of Mu'tah, which was a new step in extending the call to Islam outside the Arabian Peninsula. 7. The treaty of Hudaybiyyah enabled the Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah upon him) to send letters to the rulers of the Persians, Byzantines and Copts, inviting them to Islam. 8. The treaty of Hudaybiyyah led directly to the conquest of Makkah. |

Sissie:Wa' alaikum salam Day 6 quiz (6th Ramadan) If one forgets how many rak`ahs one has prayed, you have to assume that you have prayed the least number that you can remember and certain of. For example, if I’m unsure whether I’ve prayed two or three rak`ahs, then I assume that I’ve only prayed two and then complete my prayer based on that assumption. If one’s doubt persists until the end of the prayer, then it would be recommended (but not obligatory) to perform two prostrations of forgetfulness at the end of the prayer. 2) Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم said Whoever takes an oath by al-Amaanah (the trust), then he is not from us. Wizeboy: There are 7 conditions Al Iýlm - Knowledge of the meaning of laailahaillaallah Al Yaqeen - Certainty the like of which negates doubt (shakk) Al Inqiad- Compliance/submission or to submit and comply, which is in opposition to rejection or not to complying or not to submit. Al Qubool- Acceptance, that is in opposition to rejection. That you accept this kalmia with your heart, tongue and limbs. As Sidq- Truthfulness in opposition to lying. Al Mahabba- Love in opposition to hate, and love for this kalima and its conditions and meaning of the kalima. Al Ikhlas- Sincerity, and that you worship allah sincerely, to seek his face. 2) What are the conditions of Ibadah? There are two conditions of Ibadah 1. Sincerity to Allah. 2. Submission to Allah's Messenger i.e. to act according to his Sunnah. And if We (Allah) had sent this as a Quran in a foreign language (Other than Arabic).... Q.41:44 “ And if We had made it a non-Arabic Qur'an, they would have said, "Why are its verses not explained in detail [in our language]? Is it a foreign [recitation] 4) And would the Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم have responded to them? and an Arab [messenger]?" Say, "It is, for those who believe, a guidance and cure." And those who do not believe - in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place. 5) That the Quran was sent down in Arabic, is this a tenable excuse for us non-Arabs?[b] No, the Noble Quran was sent for ALL MANKIND, and not just for the Arabs. These are some proof below "Verily this Qur'an doth guide to that which is most right (or stable), and giveth the Glad Tidings to the Believers who work deeds of righteousness, that they shall have a magnificent reward; (Quran, 17:9)" The believers in this Noble verse could be from any nationality. "We send down (stage by stage) in the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe: to the unjust it causes nothing but loss after loss. (The Noble Quran, 17:82)" The Noble Quran in this Verse is a heal to those who believe. It is not limited to Arabs only. "Say: "If the whole of mankind and Jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed up each other with help and support. (Q 17:88)" Why would Allah Almighty challenge Mankind to produce a Quran like it if the Noble Quran wasn't meant to be for all of Mankind and all of the Jinns too. Jinns have Prophets too; Q 6:130. In addition Stop/end Processes Check if some life processes are slowing your system To find out, ==> Right-click the taskbar ==> Select Start Task Manager. ==> Click the processes tab, then the CPU column header. The top items will be the ones Using lots of RAM Close the program that's running the process (it's pretty easy to figure out what it is). If that doesn't work, click the End Process button and confirm that you really want to kill this process. Do less multitasking The more programs you run, the slower they will all be. Consider changing your working habits to have less programs up at the same time. Check for malware You may doubt an infection could cause the slowing problem but most malware doesn't draw attention to itself that way. To be on the safe side, scan for it, anyway. |
