Ignatio: Nigerians you've been played.WE ARE WORSE THAN DUMB B*****S. |
ogugua88: Complacency in Nigerians is the biggest problem Nigeria faces. There won't be any change if everyone remains tolerant. GEJ/PDP/Aso Rock are due for wake up calls. Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya didn't revolt due to complacency. They were angry enough to want change, so they went out and grabbed change by the balls. I hope Nigeria will get angry enough in my lifetime.BELIEVE ME NIGERIANS DO NOT KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES OF COMPLACENCY - IT'S JUST A WORD. THEY'RE NEVER OPEN TO CONTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. THEY ONLY ADMIT TO MINOR WRONGDOINGS WHICH CAN EASILY BE SWEPT UNDER THE CARPET. NO MATTER WHAT YOU ARE OR WHERE YOU ARE IN NIGERIA, WE ALL SHARE THE SAME PROBLEMS - OUR COMPLACENCY AND OUR LACK OF APPREHENSION. WE CONTINUE TO WALLOW IN PITY - MORE SO AS TIME GOES BY. WAKE UP!!! |
CyberG: ^ How much did he pay for your soul? It is not by force to wear the crown, he can as well just let someone who is well prepared lead rather than just occupying the position.THIS GUY QUOTES PARABLES AND IMPLIES SENSELESS ASSUMPTIONS. NIGERIANS HAVE BEEN FAILED BY PEOPLE FROM THE PAST AND PRESENT. WE HAVE NOT FAILED ANY OF OUR RULERS. RATHER, WE HAVE FAILED EACH OTHER. THE RULERS PERSISTENTLY CONTINUE TO FAIL US. THUS, KNOWING WE CANNOT FAIL OUR RULERS, WE RESORT TO FAILING EACH OTHER. THIS IS WHAT WE CONTINUE TO DO WHILE OUR SO-CALLED RULERS CONTINUE TO ABUSE THEIR POWER AND OUR RIGHTS. UNFORTUNATELY, SUCH IS THE NORM IN NIGERIA. WE CONTINUE TO SETTLE OUR SCORES WITH EACH OTHER WE HAVE RIDICULOUSLY FAILED TO FIGHT THE POWER. THIS GIVES RISE TO MORE COVERT ABUSE OF POWER BY OUR LEADERS. IT'S TIME WE SETTLED OUR CIVIL DIFFERENCES. WE NEED POLITICAL AWARENESS IN NIGERIA! |
roy4real: Senior Prophet T.B Joshua prophesied it this morning during the first service and asked the congregation to rise and pray against it before it happened.SH*T! WHY NOT SHIP THIS JOSHUA GUY TO ABUJA, LOCK HIM IN A ROOM AND MAKE HIM PREDICT EVERY BLOODY EVENT IN THE COUNTRY!!!! WHY WASTE VALUABLE TIME AND LIVES WHEN WE HAVE A PSYCHIC IN OUR MIDST?!! MAKE HIM THE COUNTRY'S INTELLIGENCE OFFICER. BETTER YET, MAKE HIM THE PRESIDENT!!! WHATEVER! WITH THE WAY BOKO HARAM OPERATES, I COULD PREDICT AN EVENT EVERYDAY. KEEP "PROPHESYING" MY GOOD FRIEND JOSHUA. RUBBISH. ![]() |
mreldon: Innocent oh!! Until proven guilty oh!!! We dey watch now, tomorrow he might be acquitted with all charges dropped and then we'll just shut up about it. Its happened in different instances recently so all this talk is just talk for us to hear and babble about. Just watch sha, who knows tomorrowINNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY?!! OH, PLEASE!! WITH NIGERIA AND CORRUPTION, IT ALWAYS WILL BE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT!!! PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE THE NIGERIAN LEGAL SYSTEM IF EVER THERE WAS ONE!!! |
This is a very big shame. It seems the whole bombing issue is only getting worse. Moreover, I do not think any other country has witnessed such atrocities by suicide bombers lately, considering boko haram's relatively young history and time line. We are fast becoming worse than suicide bomber-ridden nations. Even worse, innocent individuals are being killed erratically for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. God knows how and when the issue of boko haram will be solved. If no action is taken, the issue of boko haram will gradually become a norm in Nigeria. It's a shame we have incompetent leaders who, in dire crises, resort to pointing fingers at one another. Moreover, I hear our government has been infiltrated down to the PRESIDENT'S SHOE SHINER. Our country is being ruled on a "let's-keep-our-fingers-crossed" basis. There has been no implementation of adequate measures in fighting this insurgency. Everyday we hope and pray. No intelligence, no security, nothing. I don't even think we know who we are fighting - we only know them as "boko haram". The essence of propaganda makes issues worse. We're told to believe whatever the media say and we resort to word-of-mouth information in carrying out logical reasoning. Our leaders need to be held accountable for their incompetent leadership style. LIKE I SAID, WE NEED ANSWERS. WHAT IS THE GOVERNMENT DOING? WHAT MEASURES ARE BEING DRAWN UP? WHAT ARE BOKO HARAM'S OBJECTIVES? - ECONOMIC, RELIGIOUS, SOCIAL, POLITICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL OR LEGISLATIVE OBJECTIVES? HOW ARE THEY SPONSORED? DO THEY HAVE EXTERNAL LINKS? WHAT IS THE STRUCTURE OF THE ORGANISATION? All these things need to be arrived at. Instead, we have officials chatting bollocks about boko haram on TV. These guys do not know jack about what they face but I guess for them to appear on TV indicates a sense of progressive measures being implemented. I sympathise with the gullibility of Nigerians. I believe there is more to propaganda than meets the eye. There is a need for an independent public enquiry into the whole boko haram situation. This would hopefully paint a better picture regarding the public's ACTUAL concern and the government's OBLIGATION to protect the citizens if its country. This would go a long way towards understanding the issue of such fast-spreading atrocities in Nigeria. Until then, the saga continues. RIP TO THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES. Discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought. -Albert Szent-Györgyi If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things. -René Descartes |
"HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO FILL UP YOUR PRIVATE JET?" ![]() |
Jakumo: Without question, Ayatollah Buhari Bin Laden is the red-handed culprit who directly ordered the fatal bombing of those two newspaper offices in Abuja and Kaduna, Nigeria, since his series of doomed-to-fail lawsuits against the free press, generally filed in futile retaliation against publications that simply speak the truth, always wind up DOA dead on arrival in the court of law.AYATOLLAH BUHARI BIN LADEN?!!! BOY! FUNNIEST THING I'VE EVER READ ON THIS WEBSITE! IT IS SUCH A SHAME THE AUTHORITY CANNOT SUMMON THE ALLEGED SPONSOR(S) TO REFUTE SUCH CLAIMS. POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IS NO MORE. THE SAME SUSPECTS WILL BE IN THE SAME CIRCLE DEALING WITH THE PRESIDENT. BUT STUPID PUPPETS CANNOT LEAD BY EXAMPLE. LIKE I SAID EARLIER, WE HAVE LEGAL LAWS AND CONSTITUTIONS THAT CAN NOT BE IMPLEMENTED. IF BUHARI PUBLICLY THREATENED TO COMMIT VIOLENT OFFENCES, HE SHOULD BE SUMMONED TO ELABORATE FURTHER ON SUCH COMMENTS. BUT THE FOOLS WILL ALL DRINK AND LAUGH TOGETHER AND YET, INNOCENT CITIZENS CONTINUE TO PAY THE PRICE FOR THE INCOMPETENCE AND MISMANAGEMENT OF OUR "LEADERS" ![]() PS: I'M NOT SAYING BUHARI IS THE PROBLEM - I KNOW PEOPLE ARE QUICK TO JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS, HENCE MY WORD "ALLEGED" - INNOCENT UNTIL GUILTY. MY POINT IS OUR LEADERS CANNOT GARNER THE COURAGE TO DRILL HIM ON SUCH ALLEGATIONS. BUT ALL THINGS GO REALLY. |
I THOUGHT I HEARD SOMEONE SAY THE GOVERNMENT CANNOT NEGOTIATE WITH BOKO HARAM BECAUSE THAT MAKES THE GOVERNMENT WEAK/WEAKER. THE MOST F***ING WEAKEST GOVERNMENT ALREADY? PLEASE DO NOT THINK WE HAVE A STRONG GOVERNMENT AND DELUDE OURSELVES WITH SUCH AN IDEA. WE NEED TO HAVE A DIALOGUE WITH THOSE UP NORTH. THERE IS NOTHING THE GOVERNMENT CAN DO. OTHER COUNTRIES DO NOT NEGOTIATE WITH TERRORISTS BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE MILITARY AND ECONOMIC CAPACITY TO BACK UP THEIR CLAIMS. WE, ON THE OTHER HAND, DO NOT HAVE SUCH STANCE. WE SHOULD CUT OUR COAT ACCORDING TO OUR SIZE AND START TACKLING THE ISSUES FROM THE ROOT, NOT PRETEND TO BE WHAT WE'RE NOT BY SAYING WE DO NOT NEGOTIATE. |
Okija_juju: @ Shymmex:FIRST OF ALL, THE ARAB SPRING WAS INSPIRATIONAL. MENTIONING WHAT HAPPENED OR WHAT HAPPENS IN AMERICA LEAVES NOTHING TO BE DESIRED. PLEASE TELL ME THE MEANING TO YOUR POST? TO BE HONEST, I LOST YOU A LONG TIME AGO. AS FOR STAYING IN LONDON, THAT IS ALWAYS AN OPTION, BUT RETURNING TO NIGERIA IS A DESIRE. MAYBE YOU CAN COME WITNESS THAT WHAT THE WESTERN PEOPLE DEFINE AS DEMOCRACY IS NOT THE SAME DEMOCRACY HAPPENING IN NIGERIA. LEAVE NIGERIA FOR NIGERIANS?... VERY "PATRIOTIC". WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE. THE COUNTRY IS GOING TO SHREDS. WHEN I'M READY TO COME BACK (IN A FEW YEARS), I'LL SEE IF YOU'LL BE AT THE AIRPORT TO DENY ME ENTRY. GOD BLESS YOU IF YOU TRIED ![]() I DON'T HAVE A LOT TO SAY OR A LONG WAY TO GO. MY MESSAGE IS SIMPLE... BROADEN YOUR HORIZONS. AS FOR MY DEBATING SKILLS, DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT. THAT'S NOT THE REASON WHY I JOINED THUS FORUM. I HAVE SIMPLY COME TO VOICE MY OPINION. |
Sugardiva: Are u still on here talking? Typical Nigerian. My advice to all Nigerians and my last response to u: Stop shifting the blame! GEJ is a shameful dissapointment but guess what? So are we Nigerians! I dont try to change Nigeria by talking all over NL against the leaders (tho there's a time to speak out, its not every time!), I try to do the right thing in my own liitle life. A bribe i refuse to take or give, a tax i refuse to evade, an official decision i refuse to take based on racial sntiments or nepotism. It may not get to the front page of newspapers, heck it may not even make a differnce. But i have satisfied my conscience to do the right thing and guess why? Because God helps me!"I....I....I....I...DON'T TAKE BRIBE, I DON'T DO NEPOTISM".... YAY!!!! BLAME, BLAME, BLAME. WHO IS SHIFTING WHAT BLAME? IN ALL MY POSTS, I HAVE NEVER USED THE WORD "BLAME". BUT I GUESS THAT WORD HAS BEEN EMBEDDED IN YOUR SKULL. SEEK SOLUTIONS, NOT PROBLEMS. YOU SHOULD GET POLITICALLY CORRECT, STOP LIVING A LIE AND EDUCATE YOURSELF. MAYBE IS SHOULD CARRY ON. YOU TRY TO DO THE RIGHT THING IN YOUR OWN LITTLE LIFE? WOW!!! I SHOULD LIVE LIKE YOU. MAYBE YOU SHOULD ENLIGHTEN YOURSELF. DURING THE ARAB SPRING UPRISINGS, THE LOWER CLASS, THE MIDDLE CLASS AND EVERY OTHER PERSON RALLIED TO TOPPLE THEIR LEADERS. SIT THERE AND GO TO WORK, DON'T TAKE BRIBES, DO THE RIGHT THING... BLAH BLAH BLAH. BUT I COULD BET MY HOUSE WHEN YOU SEE A BEGGAR TOMORROW YOU TURN A BLIND EYE. HAVE YOU EVER STOPPED TO UNDERSTAND THE BEGGAR'S WALK IN LIFE? EVERY INDIVIDUAL WAS ONCE BORN PURE. THE FACT THAT DESTINY PREVAILS DOES NOT MEAN WE DO NOT HAVE BASIC RIGHTS TO LIVE. MAYBE YOU SHOULD TAKE A LOOK AT THE UN DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS. AND THEN YOU WOULD MAYBE UNDERSTAND THE ISSUES FACING NIGERIA. FINALLY, I AM NOT YOUR TYPICAL NIGERIAN YOU BLOODY STEREOTYPING THING. I BET EVERY OTHER NIGERIAN IS ALSO YOUR TYPICAL NIGERIAN. AS FOR "HUGGING A TRANSFORMER", I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE TRANSFORMERS IN LONDON BECAUSE THEY ARE WELL SECURED. PUBLIC SAFETY ENSURES WE DON'T DO SUCH THINGS. BUT I GUESS WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS IN NIGERIA. IT DOESN'T POSSIBLY HAVE TO RAIN SO BEWARE OF THE TRANSFORMERS. FUNNY. I BET YOU CAN'T WAIT FOR SUNDAY SO YOU CAN GO TO CHURCH AND "THANK GOD FOR HELPING YOU" YET YOU SIT THERE WISHING ME DEATH! MADNESS!! KEEP DOING THE RIGHT THING. DON'T QUESTION AND CHALLENGE ANYTHING. SIT THERE AND KEEP DOING THE RIGHT THING. DID YOU SAY THERE'S A TIME TO SPEAK OUT BUT NOT ALL THE TIME? ONLY WHEN THE GOVERNMENT HIKED UP PETROL PRICES DID YOU MANAGE TO SPEAK OUT. SHAME. I GUESS THAT SUMMARISES YOUR "HAPPY LITTLE LIFE - AS LONG AS I'M IN MY COMFORT ZONE, I'M HAPPY INDEED". TAKE A LOOK AT THE BIGGER PICTURE PLEASE. THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX! BY THE WAY, I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO RUN RIOTS. BE SELF-AWARE. ONE INTELLECTUAL MIND IS BETTER THAN TWO EMPTY SKULLS. DISSEMINATING THE INFORMATION INTO THOSE SKULLS IS ANOTHER THING. THIS IS WHY YOUR HEROES ROSA PARKS AND LUTHER KING WERE ABLE TO DO WHAT THEY DID. THEY WERE INTELLECTS. WHEN I'M BACK FOR MY YOUTH SERVICE I'LL BE SURE TO HUG ONE TRANSFORMER ON YOUR BEHALF! ![]() SHAME! |
[quote author=Okija_juju]I almost forgot about you.... Prolly because your post its as senseless as something written by a autistic premature foetus.... You said, get real!!! Now let me school you on realness. . . First and foremost, my post which you so convieniently quoted was written in the context of a figure of speech called sacarsm. I would have thought you who was born before the death of Jesus Christ would be knowledgeble to understand this seeing that my post was clearly indicative of that but I guess I still have alot to learn about Old people and their way of reasoning. But seeing as you have decided to take my post literally, let me come at you from that point of view; Importantly, there is not such scripture in the bible that specifically states, implies or connotes that "HEAVEN HELPS THOSE WHO HELPS THEMSELVES", as a matter of fact, that quote is born out of human justification for wrong doing and goes contrary to the scriptures in every way. Dont worry about the examination analogy as thats the way re'tards think... Although I must point out that should we follow the bible and its promises, thats what exactly should be the case. But we all know better than that (ateast people like you and I). I cant help but to agree on your second paragraph regarding complacency and the Nigerian way of life as thats the most sense you made in your entire write-up (which unfortunately barely took up more than two lines. . lol). We have been this way ever since before the amalgamation and has only grown worse with the proliferation of religion in our present day and time. "Hope without work" seems to be our new motto. It is indeed a pity I must agree. Now, your third paragraph which says "Fhuck the Bombers believes" leaves me with the conclusion that you still live in the MTV world bubble and are shying away from the truth of the situation on ground. These bombers are only motivated by a higher calling and a reward system which has been engraved into their psyche from birth. The most lethal suicide bombers and terrorist groups in the world have all had the one thing in common whic is "A HIGHER PURPOSE/CALLING". Disregarding this fact would be a very foolish thing to do. . Take america for example, religous profiling is one tool they use in their fight against terrorism. Not all muslims are terrorists but MOST terrorists are muslims. . Im sure you have heard this saying before. The consequences of their actions on the nation isnt lost on anybody thats for certain, the prevention however is the one thing that most Nigerians havent proffered rather they spend their time criticising the government and calling the president names as though he enjoys these occurences. I couldnt careless as to why God allows these things happen, wether he is angry at me because I spent all my offering money as a child on ice cream or just plain lacadesical in his duties to protect the righteous. . The point still remains we have a problem on ground which "a supposed higher being with the powers to do and undo" has ignored and allowed to happen, so we humans with limited capabilities have got to start figuring out a proper line of action to tackle this menace rather than spend precious time fighting amongst ourselves. VERY LONG AND SENSELESS POST. YOU'RE SITTING THERE WITH ALL THE GRAMMAR! MAYBE YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT THERE IS NO TIME FOR SARCASM. MTV THIS? MTV THAT? I'M FAR FROM SHYING AWAY FROM THE TRUTH. YES - MAYBE IT'S ABOUT TIME WE HAD A DIALOGUE WITH BOKO HARAM. THE PRESIDENT COMING OUT FORCEFULLY TO SAY THIS AND THAT WOULD ONLY RESULT IN MORE VIOLENCE. MOREOVER, AS MUCH AS I DO NOT CONDONE THE THISDAY ATROCITY, I BELIEVE NIGERIANS AND THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT SHOULD SHOW A BIT OF SENSITIVITY TO THE WHOLE SITUATION. YES - IT IS FRUSTRATING. BUT AS LONG AS WE CONTINUE TO AGGRAVATE BOKO HARAM, MAKING THREATS AND ALL THAT WITHOUT THE CAPABILITY TO HALT THEIR ACTIVITIES, THEY WILL CONTINUE TO DO WHAT THEY DO. WE DO NOT HAVE THE MANPOWER AND TECHNOLOGY TO STOP WHAT THEY DO. INTELLIGENCE, EITHER MILITARY OR FEDERAL, IS RATHER MINUSCULE. IN GENERAL, WE NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE NORTHERN PARTS OF NIGERIA. THE INNER PARTS OF THE NORTH. I STUDIED IN ZARIA FOR 6 YEARS AND IN THOSE YEARS, THE NORTH WAS VERY PEACEFUL AND INDUSTRIOUS. BUT I GUESS CORRUPTION HAS MARRED THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NORTH AND ITS ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES. SHAME THE NORTHERN CITIZENS ARE MAD. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, IT COULD BE POLITICALLY MOTIVATED. I PRESUME THAT THE ISSUE OF POWER IS HIGH ON THE AGENDA. BUT THEN, IT COULD BE SOLELY BOKO HARAM AND THEIR IDEOLOGY. BUT DIALOGUE - YES. ECONOMIC IMPROVEMENTS - YES. THE IDEA OF SHARIA IS SOMETHING THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO DISCUSS WITH TRADITIONAL LEADERS AND LOCAL COMMITTEES. SHAME WE LACK THESE IN NIGERIA. IF NOT, THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES MUST HAVE DIMINISHED SEVERELY. EVERYONE IS IN ABUJA AND LAGOS LOUNGING AND MAKING MONEY. THERE WAS ALWAYS MONEY AND RESOURCES IN THE NORTH. MAYBE WE SHOULD LOOK AT THE BIGGER PICTURE AND REALISE THERE ARE OTHER AREAS IN NIGERIA IN NEED OF NURTURING. I'D LIKE TO COMMENT ON THE NIGER-DELTA BUT THAT'S FOR ANOTHER DAY. NO CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, NO LAW ENFORCEMENT, NO INFRASTRUCTURE, NO COMMUNITIES, NOTHING. FINALLY, IT'S ABOUT TIME WE STOPPED USING OTHER COUNTRIES AS EXAMPLES WHEN STUFF HAPPENS IN NIGERIA. WE ARE SENSIBLE ENOUGH TO RULE THE COUNTRY ACCORDING TO OUR CONSTITUTION. CONSTITUTIONS CAN BE AMENDED ACCORDING TO THE EVENTS WITNESSED IN A GIVEN COUNTRY. WE'RE STILL SITTING ON OLD LAWS. SOME HAVE NEVER BEEN IMPLEMENTED. BUREAUCRACY IS KILLING NIGERIA. BUT THEN, BUREAUCRACY PAYS. CORRUPTION IS ANOTHER STORY. SO PLEASE, ALLOW THE "AUTISTIC PREMATURE FOETUS" RUBBISH. THIS, I IMAGINE, IS THE SORT OF GRAMMAR YOU COULD POSSIBLY HEAR SOMEONE SAY IN THE HOUSE OF SENATES!!! |

shymmex: Everyone keeps shying away from the problems.THAT'S MORE LIKE IT! WELL SAID. THIS IS A BIG CHANGE FROM "GOD HELP US", "GOD...GOD...GOD..." NIGERIA IS A FAILED STATE INDEED. HER CITIZENS CONTINUE TO FOLD THEIR ARMS, WAITING FOR THAT FRIDAY/SUNDAY TO COME SO THEY CAN GO TO THE MOSQUE/CHURCH AND YELL OUT "GOD, ALLAH, GOD, ALLAH, GOD, ALLAH..." MAYBE IF THE CITIZENS OF THE ARAB SPRING COUNTRIES SAT IN THEIR ROOMS AND YELLED OUT TO GOD OR ALLAH WITHOUT TAKING PROMINENT ACTION, THEIR LEADERS WOULD HAVE BEEN TOUCHED BY EITHER GOD OR ALLAH, DOING THE RIGHT THING WITHOUT FIERCE OPPOSITION. RELIGION ASIDE, THEY BELIEVED IN THEIR MISSION, THEIR TOGETHERNESS AND THEIR FAITH (YES, FAITH; NOT RELIGION) WHICH ENABLED THEM TOPPLE THEIR LEADERS. I GUESS THIS IS DIFFERENT WITH NIGERIANS. GOD HELP US INDEED!!! RATHER IRONIC ![]() |
ovo4u: All because of 71 virginsWISHES, WISHES AND MORE WISHES!!! RATHER THAN PROCLAIMING YOUR HATRED TOWARDS MUSLIMS AND ISLAM, YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT SUICIDE BOMBERS TARGET THEIR OWN TOO. MAYBE YOU SHOULD LOOK UP THE WORD "TERRORISM". IT'S MORE THAN SUICIDE BOMBING MY FRIEND. IT'S AN ACT OF INSTILLING FEAR INTO GOVERNMENTS AND CITIZENS OF A GIVEN NATION THROUGH VARIOUS ACTS OF VIOLENCE. IN THE UK, THERE IS THE TERRORISM ACT AND THAT DOES NOT SOLELY COVER SUICIDE BOMBING (YES, THE UK AND NIGERIA ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS BUT AT LEAST YOU GET MY POINT).TERRORISTS COULDN'T CARE LESS WHO THEY HURT IN ORDER TO GET THEIR MESSAGES ACROSS. LIKE I SAID, RELIGION HAS MADE US DUMBER THAN EVER. A CHRISTIAN IS A CHRISTIAN, A MUSLIM IS A MUSLIM, EVEN A PAGAN IS A PAGAN. RELIGION IS NOT THE ISSUE. "UNITED WE STAND. DIVIDED WE FALL". LET'S WORK TOGETHER TO RESOLVE THE ISSUES FACING NIGERIA, NOT POINT FINGERS AT THE ALLEGED PERPETRATORS OF SUCH ATROCITIES. THINK SMART!!!!!!!!! |
deleo16: this didnt start now both d one home and foreign sucide bombing when some cabal or country because of their selfish reason, they push this sucide bomber to the wall before retaliating well two wrong to make a right thou.and there is no war between muslim and christian somebody using this to cause hatred, our president was warn 2 years ago about this .WHAT WAS THAT? ![]() |
[quote author=Okija_juju]I sy blame God because he has the absolute power to stop these things and decides to turn a blind eye. Atleast that what the bible and churches have made us to believe. And these bombers are motivated by the believe that he has a paradise of gold, wine and virgin women waiting for them at on the other side. LISTEN TO YOURSELF!!! YOU SAY GOD BECAUSE HE HAS THE ABSOLUTE POWER TO STOP THESE THINGS AND DECIDES TO TURN A BLIND EYE?!!! PERHAPS YOU WERE BORN YESTERDAY. SEEING AS YOU'RE VERY RELIGIOUS, I'M SURE YOU'VE HEARD THE SAYING, "HEAVEN HELP THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES". NEXT TIME YOU SIT AN EXAM, PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER TO STUDY. FAST AND PRAY. MAYBE GOD'S WRITING WILL APPEAR LIKE THE WRITING ON THE BLOODY WALL TO PROVIDE YOU WITH ANSWERS. THIS SHOWS THE LEVEL OF COMPLACENCY IN NIGERIA. WE'VE BECOME RELIANT ON RELIGION COMMON SENSE HAS FAILED TO PREVAIL ON MANY OCCASIONS. PITY. PITY.. PITY... FINALLY, Bleep THE BOMBERS' BELIEF. WHETHER THEY BELIEVE THERE WILL BE STRIPPERS AND MERCEDES BENZ AND ROLLS ROYCE PHANTOMS AND GOLD AND PALM WINE OR KUNU OR ZOBO IN PARADISE... THAT'S BY THE WAY. WE SHOULDN'T BE FIGHTING OR WORRYING ABOUT THEIR BELIEFS BUT THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR ACTIONS ON THE NATION AND THE PREVENTION OF SUCH ACTS. I'M VERY SURE GOD TURNED A BLIND EYE BECAUSE YOU PROBABLY FORGOT TO WASH HIS CLOTHES, STRAIGHTEN HIS HAIR AND POLISH HIS SANDALS. GET REAL!!! |
richkids1: God have mercy ohhhJESUS H. CHRIST! STOP THIS "GOD HAVE MERCY" TALK AND THINK INTELLECTUALLY! WE REALLY DO HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO IN NIGERIA SHAME. |
Brixtonyute: Brother, why are you wasting your time on these people? Most of the ones whom support this government have parents who are part of the establishment. They are part of whole thing wrong with your country. You see them make excuse for incompetence - yet on the other hand blame the poor people. They are part of the problem. The terrorist should just blow all of them up, and let's see if God is gonna save them from that.My good friend, I only just became a member of Nairaland this morning. It's nice to know most people think like fishes. Not everyone is worth my comment. While I sit in London and continue to analyse several issues happening around the world, I hope my fellow Nigerians come to a realisation that we live in a world where everything is instrumented by man, not GOD. Well, now I know that some people can be very narrow-minded. Thank you and God bless (NOT "GOD HELP YOU" MY NEW NAIRALAND FRIEND!) ![]() |
Sugardiva: Now that u hv. Complained and asked questions how has that helped us as a nation? Nigeria's problem as a nation is not just the leaders. Evry Nigerian complains and talks too much without sense. What we all need to do is SHUT UP and actually DO SOMETHING individually and 2getha as a nation to change. The change will nt come frm d leaders it will come frm the ordinary man on d street. Case in point: Rosa parks, Luther King Jnr. Untill we stand up and act I still say: GOD HELP US!You're a bloody joke my friend. Go back to church my friend. Maybe I agree with you to some extent that all we need to do is shut up and act. Not individually but together for the nation to change. But almost every individual calling on GOD, GOD, GOD for change is just ridiculous. Where is the diplomacy? We've become so complacent as a nation we take things as they come. I am not against religion. Just so you know. With your mentality it is easy to label me an anti-Christ. Funny Rosa Parks and Luther King did not shout, "God help us". They acted imminently. If one voice could bring about changes in America, why can't 150 million people do the same? In Egypt, young citizens like yourself and myself toppled the government's 30-year rule. Are we going to wait for 30 years before we act? In a developing economy like Nigeria? Keep calling on God for 30 years. Maybe he might just send Angel Gabriel to protect your Bottom. By the way, this is a forum. It is not a means of relaying messages to our leaders. Maybe if you stopped opposing opinions then we could have a united voice on the issues facing Nigeria. Do your Maths and go to sleep my friend. |
FOR CHRIST'S SAKE GOD WILL NOT HELP US!!!! ![]() IF HE WAS TO HELP US THESE BOMBS WOULD NEVER HAVE GONE OFF. ONCE AGAIN, LACK OF LOGICAL THINKING. RELIGION AND THE MINDSET. GOD HAVE MERCY. ACTUALLY, DEVIL HAVE MERCY. FRUSTRATING! FORKING* QUESTION YOUR LEADERS. QUESTION AUTHORITY. WHY ARE YOUR LEADERS NOT PREVENTING SUCH ATTACKS? WHAT STRATEGY/STRATEGIES ARE THEY IMPLEMENTING TO DEAL WITH THE SITUATION? WHAT ARE WE FACING IN TERMS OF BOKO HARAM? WHAT ARE THE IMPLICATIONS OF DEALING WITH THEM? HOW CAN THE ISSUE BE RESOLVED? HOW DO WE PREVENT FURTHER ATTACKS? ARE WE EVEN CONSIDERED CITIZENS OF THE STATE OR JUST MERE PUPPETS? INSTEAD, YOU'RE ALL SAYING GOD HELP US. WHY NOT BLOODY GO TO BOKO HARAM'S STRONGHOLD AND PERFORM MIRACLES SINCE YOU'RE ALL BELIEVERS IN GOD?!!!! F**K! F**K!! F**k!!! I GUESS IT'S ONLY RIGHT TO SAY, "GOD HELP THE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA'S MENTALITY". DISAPPOINTING. NO WONDER YOUR PASTORS ARE RICH ENOUGH TO AFFORD PRIVATE JETS. WAKE THE HELL UP!!!! AAAAAARRRRRGGGHHHHHHHH |
oc2fish: I wonder why your asking if your godfather manageGive a testimony for finding a job in a bank? Get the FORK out of here. FORKING religious fanatic. |
OP, Beautiful thread. Very inspirational and delightful. I hope the project turns out perfect for you in the end. I hope to build a house in Enugu someday. something simple. Thanks for the ideas. Most importantly, thanks for sharing! All the best. |
Well, someone sensible likes to hear the truth. Shame about the other 149,999,999 citizens. Go to church on Sunday and fund your pastor's £15m private jet! |
Greetings my fellow Nigerians. I am currently on the verge of gaining an MSc. in HR Development and Consultancy in the UK. Yes, I am a Nigerian in diaspora but PLEASE DO NOT LET THAT DISTRACT YOU FROM THE POINT I HOPE TO MAKE. It seems that we as Nigerians have lost our sense of diplomacy. Now everything rests with GOD, GOD, GOD. First of all, I am a religious Christian. Maybe not toooooo religious but I do follow God. I can't help but notice that whenever something happens in Nigeria, people automatically run to God for "help" or "divine intervention". REALLY?!!! In today's world? In the 21st century we are still calling on GOD GOD GOD, going to several churches to pay our tithes hoping for a miracle. Maybe you might wake up to become a zillionaire overnight It's a shame we tend to shy away from awareness and the mentality of questioning and challenging everything. In the UK, we have live debates consisting of the PRIME MINISTER himself and several government bodies. They argue their issues without fear of reprisals (at least to an extent). I go on YouTube and I see our senators fighting each other in the name of politics (really?). But still, it's only GOD!!! Maybe He will break up the fights someday. I am very grateful to nairaland for providing a platform to shine a light on the issues we face in Nigeria. In a country consisting of 150 million citizens or so, we CAN move mountains if we decide to think logically and rationally as an entity. IBO, HAUSA, YORUBA, WHATEVER YOU ARE. But I guess the level of frustration and the whole issue of f***ed up tribal differences have replaced the essence of logical reasoning and the implementation of such thoughts. For example, you travel on some of the worse roads in the world (Lagos to Edo, perhaps?) and considering the state of the roads, you survive the journey and it becomes a testimony - "Thank God I survived" - "only God" . Boy! Muthersuckers in power should fix the bloody roads. God won't do that!!! It's a shame that as much as the country continues to slide further down the bottomless pit, most citizens choose to turn to religion and ignore the fact that soooo many issues we face in Nigeria are all man-made. But rather than challenge these mortal leaders, we turn our attention to GOD GOD GOD!!!!Yes, it is good to be religious but religion should not be an instrument for fighting the socio-economic and political issues we face in that country. Question and challenge everything. Keep the faith but don't abuse the faith. If half the nation were to show their frustration at the condition of the country, there would be a big shake up in government. I think I'll leave the issue of religion and the misconception of religion and social, legal, political and environmental issues for now hoping I have made my point. Secondly, having lived in England for 10 years, I hope to return to my beloved country and apply my knowledge in, hopefully, a government organisation as an advisor. Considering the level of co-operation and co-ordination, I would like to contribute to a lot of changes in that country. For a country growing at 7% per annum, a lot of things should have changed by now (Or are we still waiting for GOD?). It's about time we made our voices heard. We are the generation of tomorrow. We are young and restless. We are hungry for change. We want careers, economic and personal developments, social developments, infrastructure planning and implementation, a reform of bloody old legal laws and a thorough implementation of such laws, most importantly human right and labour laws. With a country that big, we have a lot to gain from Nigeria. I, for one, am passionate about changes being implemented in that country. Human Resource Management and Consultancy (CIPD accredited) would shed a light on the issues we could rectify and rectify correctly and permanently to benefit every single citizen of Nigeria. It's about time we put religion aside and focused on the issues surrounding Nigeria. Don't get me wrong, there's a difference between being religious and hoping for religion to change everything. If anything, the notion of "religion fixes everything" makes matters worse. Follow your religion, absorb the relevant information and abide by them in your everyday dealings. It shouldn't be a case of psychologically believing in religion, hoping for the knowledge to apply itself in anything you do. WAKE UP MY PEOPLE. IT IS THE 21ST CENTURY. LONG LIVE NIGERIA!!! |
Everything in Nigeria rests with "May God this, may God that". Jesus Christ!!! When are we going to confront our issues with the country's leaders? If God was really going to do "this and that", I'm sure he would be a resident of Nigeria by now. Wake up people! Question and challenge everything. God isn't going to fix the roads, provide jobs, provide good welfare or do other things man should be doing. God made man. That's it. Religion and religious beliefs have brainwashed most Nigerian citizens. That should stop. This is the 21st century. Fight for your rights. God won't fight for them. He won't come to your living room either. Religion should provide knowledge, inspiration and courage, not fix roads and do what the government should be doing. In the Western world, you learn religiously and move on, hoping to apply the knowledge gained to something else. In Africa (Nigeria), you learn religiously and wait for miracles to happen. WAKE UP PEOPLE. I do not condone all the atrocities happening in Nigeria but we have people in charge of running the country. Shame we've lost so many moral and philosophical as well as political values. We now rely on GOD, GOD, GOD. Maybe we should snap back to reality and make things happen. If you knew the number of times I've come across "God...God...God" on a lot of forums, you would think that God was a resident of Abuja or Gombe or Enugu or Osun or... the point is, religion goes a long way but not all the way. Stop the dependency on religion and fight for your rights. WAKE UP MY PEOPLE. EDUCATE YOURSELVES! |

. Boy! Muthersuckers in power should fix the bloody roads. God won't do that!!! It's a shame that as much as the country continues to slide further down the bottomless pit, most citizens choose to turn to religion and ignore the fact that soooo many issues we face in Nigeria are all man-made.
