Asbestos pads make that screeching noise. They are harmful to the environment and will eventually damage your brake discs. You'll need to replace with a new set of original pads soonest. |

Also, if your Thermostat has been removed and your fans begin to run immediately you turn the ignition key on, then your car would definitely consume lots of fuel abnormally. |

Go and run a diagnostic scan on your ride. From d results or codes, you'll be pointed towards the cause(s) of the high fuel consumption. Don't allow trial and error work on your car. If you don't understand the codes you get, post em here and you'll get explanations. |

Buying a car is a relatively short process compared to maintenance, which is continuous as long as the car's being used. Look out for a car with readily available parts. A good pointer can be common nature of the particular make and model being used by others. Dat would tell u dat if yours has a problem, u won't be alone and problem would be solved easily.
