The man tinubu and his gangs of tribalists have come to kill Nigeria and Nigerians . Very very insensitive animals My brother there no any reform anywhere,it is just pricing Because the government is a monopoly in so many products it just increased prices arbitrarily to arrive at its projected revue at the expense of the people, the government increased taxes, increased interest rates ,increased forex price, increased fuel price in an insane manner never witnessed before, increased school fees beyond what parents and students can afford,he increased the price of electricity In all these you can see that the driving force is revenue, which they will squander on luxurious living, such as suv, limousine, bogous jet, yacht etc This administration is a self centred, insensitive one Which is like a weapon fashioned against Nigerians |

He expected the government to consult people like him to help model strategies on how to sell the reforms to Nigerians for them to calm down and support the reforms.
He was just pouring his anger because the current government did not invite people like him for him. RhinoChest: Your analysis isn’t smart nor economically sound.
You are aware you need forex to prop up your currency if you peg it to dollar.
Imagine your forex is dwindling due to;
A) Low oil output because the previous gov didn’t do much to raise output or bring new investment into the sector.
B) The little forex you have, you returning it back to the owners because you paying subsidy.
C) Lots of debt accrued, to both service debt and meet other financial obligations.
Even if you want to peg your currency, where would you turn to bring in more forex?
What this government has done is smart. Oil production is up, subsidy is gone, so they have more money going to states and for projects.
They plugged the leakages and raised the revenue.
If oil output goes up together with other exports at quick rate, we should see the value of naira rising, and the rise at this moment in time will be sustainable, stable and long term without any costly intervention from Central bank.
Once naira appreciates, fuel prices at the pump will go down, and you should be seeing inflation easing. Right now, government is at the right path. subsidy is not a bad thing to give to the ,serious government all over the world subside one thing or the other for their people Tinubu just punished Nigerians for the corruption and inefficiency of government and they find good company in people like you, who think they are smart and try to justify the stupid wicked actions of government If government had stopped importation of fuel before Removing subsidy, there maybe no subsidy to remove, and prices maybe bearable, forex may even not be as high as it is because more than 40% if not 60% were used for importation of fuel , that would have been freed for other sectors If the government has also followed the suggestions in senator ned nwoko bill's before floating the naira, you will find out the actual demand for naira is far less than it is because of loop holes so the current value of the naira is false over exaggerated, if the we have the true value ,the economic activities in the country will reflect it but now it is subdued, Bottom line Tinubu put the cart before the horse,it doesn't portray him and his supporters as been smart |

Do the maths.
Tinubu is not Nigeria's saviour because he has refused to cut recurring expenditures and investigate mass corruption. This are all retrofits to save face ,each successive governments has been saving Nigeria from implosion, from going to extinction whenever they made poor economic decisions and we've never seen any improvement, Nigeria is a going concern that is not about to liquidate Tells us if your government has stopped borrowing because of their 'genius ' policies The revenue you are talking at what cost,it is just inflated by the high exchange rate Removing subsidy at that time and increasing how much the government sells forex was not a smart move It is clear the policies have no positive impact on the lives of people except the imaginary achievements that are not visible to anyone |

I don’t know what Seun is talking about, blaming Tinubu for inflation and hardship.
Does he want fuel subsidies back, with dual currency exchange rates?
Is that what he wants?
Who is he shouting at?
Is Tinubu alone responsible for the country?
What about the STATE GOVERNORS?
Those states receive 65% of the budget and FG 35%, so how come everything is ALL on Tinubu’s head?
Not ONE mention by Seun of the state governors and what THEY are doing. Are they not living in luxury?
Is it only in Abuja that govt officials are living large?
Go to the states and see what they are doing.
Load of rubbish. The truth remains constant, Tinubu is a failure and a disaster, all these problems are caused by his arrogance and it is because of people like you who almost turn a mere mortal to god because of your low intellect ,you hail him to high heavens because of IGR, he therefore thought everything starts and end with high revenue So he increased the prices of government goods and services without consideration for the collateral Damage the move might bring, even when his speech writers told him not to talk about subsidy on inauguration day because he thought as a leader he is wiser than everybody, he went ahead to remove it,the results proved his advisers right So you are just emotional and supporting blindly, these his policies has never worked anywhere and it will not work,he is just stupidily stubborn, punishing Nigerians unnecessarily As for the governors ,it is not their jobs to tame inflation or provide national security or determine exchange rate or provide enabling environment including laws for foreign investments Let's assume you are correct by saying other candidates promised the same thing, their style would have been different, buhari had awarded contract for the repair of refineries and they are now working, what stopped him from accelerating the repair ,conclude it before removing subsidies the results would have been different |

As a special assistant, the very reforms you say the masses must endure are subsidised for you. Government pays for your fueling, your travels, grants you easy access to foreign currencies and other privileges that insulate you from the same policies you are justifying.
The questions I continue to ask are:
1. If fuel at N985 is seen as ok today, why did BAT condemn fuel at N145 in 2012 with subsidy removed?
https://dailytrust.com/flashback-how-tinubu-criticised-jonathan-over-petrol-subsidy-removal/

3. In 2014, bat said the foreign exchange rate of N217:$1 was too high and showed Government incompetence. So, why is he now saying that N1600:$1 is a good deal and a sign of progress?
4. In his 2023 campaign, bat promised to reduce the rate from N600:$1 to N300:$1... so why is N1600:$1 now being touted as an achievement?

The only thing terrorist APC government introduced into Nigeria is high level of tribalism. I haven't seen a political party like this in the history of man.
Buhari started this, Tinubu came on board and did his at extreme level. This is the reason Nigeria will never ever rise or be better. Tribalism in Nigeria politics over competency is the order of the day. If you're wondering why Tinubu government is retrogressive and nothing good will ever come out of it, this is the major reason. Politics of tribalism does no nation any good.
Check out Nigerian leaders like OBJ , YAR'DUA, GEJ , who were so decentralized in their appointment, compare their government with that of the two APC buffoons that have governed this country, you'll see a remarkable clear differences. It's a clear example why APC should never have been allowed to take power in Nigeria, they are like bandits ,they have no useful value,I just hope Nigerians have learnt their lessons |
