shorty002: Shevychen2: Respect, my guys. The answer is 1.52501 approx 1.53 to 2 d.p. As simple as it seems, 60% of our traders can't do this, even the experienced ones, as we have seen here. When I was with brokerage firms, I see clients come to complain they have been short-changed. E.g, one came shouting that he used 0.1 lot on eurgbp with 30pips SL, instead of -$30, he is seeing -$42.66. Most don't know their exposure until the SL is hit. The problems facing most our traders are foundational not technical. Ladies and gentlemen, even if you practice good MM, it is incomplete if you don't know the pip value for the currency you are trading. Take note: Only few currencies have $10/pip value on a standard account. |

Shevychen2: I get it personally but most traders don't know how to apply this. Let's go practical. Given the signal; Sell gbpnzd @ 2.1740, sl 2.1770, tp 2.1620. Determine the lot size to use on an account of $31,569 if you are to expose 1%. Most traders can't answer this. That's what I mean by I wish most traders can apply it. @all, if you have the lot size, let me have it. |

@Zionplace, I can tell you are successful with your trading. Had best of my trades when I had "something doing". Just set pending orders, return after 2-3 days to find 50% hit TP with min r:r of 1:3. @Edd1e, the fact that we can't win them all is the reason I go for high probability trade with a min r:r of 1:3. Even if I lose the 1st 7/10 trades, the last 3 will put me in profit on the aggregate. Thanks all for your inputs. Looking @ creating a thread strictly for HP that will serve as a guide to newbies like me and a commentary point for dons like you's |

NYSC / Re: How To Write An NYSC Personal CDS Project Proposal by surveycash(m): 7:59pm On Feb 26, 2016 |
unknown247: Wrong! Spent about 4m on a computer laboratory in my time. I did not spend a Kobo from my pocket. @OP & other CDS intending corps members, don't waste your time going around begging for money, they won't give you. Here is what I did. 1. Spent the 1st 3 months learning their language. 2. Attended most of their festivals fully kitted including those labelled "fetish" by religious people. Learnt how to greet the chiefs and present introductory speech. 3. When I realised am getting popular. I went for the jugular. I sold the idea to few villagers friend and ask them to accompany me to see the chief. 4. On getting there, introduced myself well in their tradition to the amazement of everyone seated. 5. Spent the next 15mins on the dangers of lack of proper education and need for computers to fasten the learning curve. 6. Went ahead to promise I will build them a computer lab if they are ready to see my plan. 7. Revealed the plan by telling them by asking them a question. "Do you know that with just N5m, we can achieve the best computer lab in this LGA? "Do you know that there are illustrious sons/daughters in this community that spend that monthly on just diesel?...lol "Do you know that just 5 of them bringing 1m each will make this project a history? I told them I have a written proposal for such people and they should give 50 names of such. Right there, we arranged for a community meeting the next week. I went there to present my project with projector and powerpoint. Some of them have not seen a laptop (lol) let alone projector. They were dazed. We set up an "education committee" at the end. This committee comprising of some of the elders followed me door-to-door to "beg" for the said money. Just one person dropped 2m. If I was the treasurer to the donation account, I would have some millions. We completed the project and it was named 1st of its kind in the LGA that the commissioner of education came to launch it. 3 Likes |

Edd1e: Nice to see a harmonic trader here. I can't agree more. Held a pending order for over a week for the bat @ 1.380 only for price to reverse @ 1.375. Will wait for the 61.8 retracement of XA to go long hoping price will break the x point to form a bearish crab. Happy new year all. 1 Like |
Education / Re: Can A Lecturer Actually Do This? by surveycash(m): 7:29am On Jan 28, 2016 |
Owoade, ATBU did same to me. Went with some lecturers to beg him after the event and he accepted only to realize I got a D in the course where I expected a least an A. Most of my colleagues that come to me for assistance had an A. When I was pondering what went wrong, they said OWOADE. That's when I remembered the incident. Thank God my CA was strong and he's not the only one taking the course. Just put a call to the school to get the name now only to be told he's been dismissed since for similar complains. |
