Haba, that was a big risk you took knowing the track records of Nipost inconsistencies.
The day has not ended, quickly package another set and use DHL or TNT so that your document can get their on June 3.

My school gave UPS my transcripts on Friday to deliver to Uni-assist and someone I know in records sent me my tracking number.

The document has been in d same location since Saturday afternoon (Roissy Charles de Gaulle, FR).
I cantacted UPS and I was told that it's due to custom clearing.

Please is this how UPS operates? I tot it wouldn't take more than 3 days for them to deliver documents. Pls help to clarify my doubts.

I applied a month ago and I would not want to take chances, pls I will appreciate if any alumni of Unilag can enlighten on how to get the transcript in the next 2 weeks.

The verification of land/property titles has become very significant, especially these days of property fraudsters and scammers pulling potentials property buyers and investors into fraudulent property transactions. Also there have been cases of fake titled documents like C of O or governors consent documents number, the case of flying of co-ordinates numbers in a survey plan or even using a back dated survey plan for a current survey plan.

I will advice you go with the following tips when buying a property especially in Lagos/Nigeria as regards to verification.

Contact a trusted agent/broker or property consultant to physically show you the land or property you wish to buy.

Physically inspect the property/land and if you are interested in it, you can revisit the property to be fully satisfied.
Contact a registered and qualified surveyor to do a proper verification/search which will come in form of report. DON'T PATRONISE QUARKS".
Contact your lawyer or sometimes the property consultant carries out an investigation on the property.
If the title of the property is perfect e.g C of O governors consent etc, then you must ensure that your lawyer takes the document to the state land registry for a search. If all these steps are observed and it is ok....

I just saw this topic while searching for something else, I took the pain to go through all the comments and I must say @Lawyer has done an excellent work, the touch of professionalism he uses to answer all questions and comments. He knows what he is saying. I am a registered surveyor, having interacted with some lawyers concerning property law or land documentation, u just want to cover your face in shame when the talk.

Any land that needs a consent to surveyed in Lagos is a government land that government is not using but other citizen can use it but needs a "consent " from them before it can be used.
Yes you can get CofO on it.
You need not do big agricultural work on it, small poultry of few beds and your house (farm house). Then you are good to go. Let me know if you have other questions
