lawyerchap:

He’s a fantastic singer with a unique sound and he’s also quite a performer. But on the downside, he’s got major self-esteem issues, IQ issues, diction issues, discipline issues a la losing concentration and going off-beat plus who knows what else. But it’s a singing contest, not a spelling bee or The Apprentice. So Timi looks quite the favourite to win this thing.

As for Omawumi, Dan thinks she’s peaking at the right time, but I think she left it too late. She’s been pretty consistent throughout the competition with some really outstanding performances. Her performance of Onyeka Onwenu’s “Ekwe” was a truly memorable experience for all who watched it. If she wins, I won’t be crying for Timi, that’s for sure.

She is a more versatile artist than Timi will be. Notice how she was the only contestant to run the gamut of musical genres, performing songs from R ‘n’ B, Hip Hop, Funk, Pop, Rock, Reggae? While the others played it safe she went out on a limb to showcase her range of abilities. She will be able to appeal to a wider fan base than Timi whose voice is made for ballads. Clearly Omawumi is the commercial choice but for the purist in me, Timi’s voice is pure gold, he should win it.

The feeling is mutual with Timi's way of expresion. I think somewhere somehow the guy is laking. I thought it was the low self-esteem or something but someone said it's probably the accent. Timi - u don't have kneel each time u perform wink. I hardly make out of what Timi says at the interviews. As for Omuwami, damn that women is so eager to win. Her last performences have been out this world. Nhlanhla Sibisi has no favorite among the 2 now, but I'm sure Omuwami still gives him goose bumps! When she picked that Christina Aguilera's song I wanted to switch off the TV and go to sleep. Hey, what did she do to it? She is versatile, I give her that. She takes risks. That's probably because she's a born mimic, I don't know undecided. Oh, by the way, does the looks still count now that Eric is out? Who looks better then undecided?

Finally, for the first time justice has been done cool! Although I wud have loved 2 c sum1 else instead of Omuwami. I never thought she wud survive 2 the final,  Indeed miracles do happen. I wonder who the Idol will be between the 2 undecided. I hope Timi doesn't try too hard as he does sumtimes. And I hope that Shakira voice can do better as the nite she did Natasha Bedingfield - I bruise easily. May the best vocalist/singer/performer/entertainer/etc. win cheesy!!!

I still don't understand what happened on Monday night shocked - could somebody please help me understand embarassed. When I think about it I can't help but whip cry!

Jodie, my Jodie. I'm so sorry you had to leave sad. Nevertheless, you ARE the best thing that has ever happened to West African Idols. I pray that an international recording label can turn Nigeria upside down looking for you and ur talent, my dear. Don't give on ur dreams - u r the BEST thing that can ever happen to the music industry. The song You raised me up by Westlife has helped heal, it might help you as well kiss.

I just want to say this now before everyone. Monday night was the last time I watched West African Idols. With Jodie out, there's honestly no point of watching that show. The only time I will watch is when they announce who's been eliminated "got the least votes". And I'm going to vote very seriously now, but for Jerrilyn. I'll make sure I spend the whole day voting for her and getting people voting for her. With Jodie out, I have just realized that the person who will win that competition will be a joke! Before you know it Timi will also be out. So I'm just going to help them achieve their goal, which is to have the "WORST African Idol", Jerrilyn. That show is not worth watching anymore angry.

I give up myself, Jerrylin will never go cry. Beside seeing that Beyonce-never-gonna-be leave the show, I think justice was done undecided. Mercy was trying too hard and she was going to be eliminated eventually. My top 3 will then be: Jodie, Temitayo and Timi. Eric not being safe last night, I'm sure it was a wake up calls for him . I don't know what they see in him, but come on guys - that smile can really-really get on my nerves sometimes. I always close my eyes when Eric sings, just to determine that if it wasn't for the looks that they say he has - would he still be on the show? And the answer is, NOT FOR LONG! Nevertheless, I admire Timi for taking this competition Idols seriously on Sunday. Yah, I think I now understand what is meant when they say, save the best for last. They should really choose the songs that are going to work for them now, just like Timi. Next Monday Jerrylin MUST leave! Omawumi will follow, then Eric. After that, we will have to fasten our seat belts real tight because it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

I'm sorry to disappoint you Viperman, but Timi won't win this one. I often battle to make out of the things he says when he's being interviewed. That's his weakness. What on earth of Africa is he going to say when he's being interviewed? I don't know if it's the accent or low-self esteem. But if it was the self-esteem, he would be where he is now. Is he French speaking or something? And he always find way of missing the point.

Keep it real Africa by voting wisely!

Africa! What on earth happened last night? angryI thought we had the deserving Idols covered, What happened with Uche? Obviously he didn't get enough votes. But, how? Who voted for Jerrylin instead of Uche? cryCome on guys, don't turn such a wonderful show into a joke oh! I was so disappointed last night. embarassedEven Uche himself, he didn't see that coming. I mean, even when he was told he wasn't safe, he kept his cool cool. I'm sure Jerrylin had a shock of her life time too shocked. ;DI'm glad such thing won't happen again smiley. Remember, your vote is your voice! Keep it real guys - please wink.

I don't know about you guys but I feel that Omuwami was at her best last night. Of course leaving the room for better than the best. There's always a room for improvement. Jodie, you don't have to ask, she choose a wrong song but hey, she turned it to something else - you can count on her all the time. That Beyonce never gonna be chick - Jerrylin, what on earth was she wearing? She made it even worse when she was going on about working it out. Her work it out's were all dull & dead! You can wear Beyonce's outfit my dear, but you sure can never wear her voice. She also knows that she might be cut off tonight - she's expecting it! Mercy must take it easy. Eric needs to wipe that smile off his face and start getting serious with singing, because it sure won't win him the competition. His not there for charms! The other guy's voices are strong. I give Eric 2 more Sundays and then he's out!

Hot or Not? Guys, guys, guys,  Is Jodie to die for or what? Damn! That Chick gives me goose bumps! Who do you think will be eliminated? Who do you think was the weekest link last night? West African Idols get better by the day! undecided
