d way tings are going am beginning to believe wat some one said on dis thread, dat d budget is wat is delaying d camp. even NYSC ave postpone 2016 batch A up to 4 times.

during vetting didn't u fill forms with ur pass ports attached to d form? if u did den call ur referees and ur neighbours dat u fill in d form dey might ave call dem. bcs dey went as far as calling my father to find out if most of d info I gave is correct and d type of person I am.

....most state hv done vetting. If u hv nt bn called after d interview, then something is wrong. Also, most state hv filled the employment form. Better put, p.s form for documentation. Signal 4 camp is all we are waiting for NOW..

rumour of cancellation is wat characterize any recruitment exercise in the country. Note that some agency are beyond such cheap speculation. Rather they flush out the bad eggs. The Intel wud hv informed you that other commands are seriously doing vetting and documentation.

My brother let tell you something, samething happened to this DSS recruitment in my state as most of the people that got job the never applied nor wrote any Aptitude test or did interview. I pity we average Nigerian graduate.

least 91 people tied to influential or
highly placed Nigerians who were
recently offered juicy appointments by
the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in a
hiring process that was highly secretive.
The list of beneficiaries of the CBN’s job
largesse include a daughter of former
Vice President Abubakar Atiku, a son of
Mamman Daura, a nephew of President
Muhammadu Buhari and one of the
closest members of the president’s inner
circle, a son of the Minister of State for
Petroleum Resources, Emmanuel Ibe
Kachikwu, a daughter of former Speaker
of the House of Representatives, Ghali
Na’aba, also daughter of of the Inspector
General of Police, Solomon Arase, a since
of the Minister of Internal Affairs,
Abdurahman Danbazzau and at least 86
others.
The highly controversial recruitment,
seen as peddling of influence, first came
to light a few weeks ago, but
SaharaReporters just exclusively
obtained the names of the beneficiaries.
The leaking of the irregular hires by the
CBN caused significant embarrassment
for the government and the bank. The
CBN’s Director of Human Resources,
Chizoba Mojekwu, was reportedly
redeployed as the bank’s Director of
Capacity Development and IT after CBN
Governor, Godwin Emefiele, accused her
of being behind the leaking of the list.
However, a top official of the CBN told
our correspondent that Mr. Emefiele had
arranged the hiring of relatives of top
party leaders and powerful government
officials as a strategy for saving his job.
Even though the list obtained by
SaharaReporters has 91 names, our
sources at the CBN disclosed that the
CBN Governor had started the practice of
using job offers to woo top government
officials since Mr. Buhari came into
power on May 29, 2015. One source
revealed that, in September 2015, Mr.
Emefiele had hired Claire Arase, a
daughter of Nigeria’s Inspector General
of Police, Solomon Arase.
SaharaReporters learnt that the CBN often
went to great lengths, including tweaking
the names of recruits, in order to hide the
identities of beneficiaries of politically
motivated recruitment. Often the CBN
used the beneficiaries’ first names and
their father’s middle names to hide their
real identities. For instance, the bank
listed Maryam Atiku as “Maryam
Abubakar.” In another case, the bank
entered the name of the son of Nigeria’s
Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman
Dambazau, as “Nagode Abdulrahman.” In
other instances, the bank used the
maiden names of hired persons instead
of their married names.
The recruitments are deemed irregular
because the CBN failed to advertise the
vacancies in order to allow opportunities
to all qualified Nigerians to apply for the
jobs. In addition, the bank’s “political”
recruitments did not follow principles of
federal character set out for employment
by government agencies and other
public institutions. “Jobs were just
handed to the children of ministers in the
current administration,” one bank official
stated. The source added that many of
the new hires were asked to pick their
department of choice after their irregular
employment was concluded.


seriously when I read story like dis am always afraid especially wen some one said we should expect camp by july.

what I notice in dis thread is dat, once ppl drop info and it fail dey will jst disappear.

yes I am. And I am nt here to dampen pple's spirit. My info is nt based on any source or egg sauce as d case may be! For those still waiting for the list, nothing is impossible with God. Pple do join in camp as well, even after two months. This is fact. We don't talk much here, cos so many staff kid around, buh dia sauce always giving dem wrong recipe.......

About 14 or thereabout bicos some persons were having issues with d availability of dia original docs; same with d detectives cadre.

the 14 may me 7 cadet and 7 detectives. bcs cadet were also 7 in my command.

but u earlier said dat d man dat did d vetting said dat 24 names where sent to Abuja. pls were d 24 names sent to Abuja b4 d vetting or after d vetting?

dey did interview 30 where ppl were invited, 10 from each senatorial dist. 7 where call for vetting dey are now doing verification dats calling referees and neighbours including parent dey even went to some one house.

It seems like dis sss ppl are very serious wo, a frnd that we met during interview told me dat they visited one of his referees on Wednesday, asking questions about him, they later left. this shows that every thing is on process. Pls house anybody with same experience??

The names of successful candidates of various state commands have been forwarded to the yellow house in Abuja but have not been reveiwed by the committee set up by the DG,dats y we are having this delay.Lets exercise some patients and keep hope alive. What i can tell you guys is that not all names forwarded to Abuja will return as successful candidates because after reviewing the list,some names will be dropped.What we can do is only pray and have faith in God.

pls do u ave any idea on what will make d Abuja to reduce d number?

Actually the final list and the golden call means the same thing, normally after interview DSS will just keep quiet for a while for background check of the candidates and other formalities, then later every command will call the successful ones usually very few from 5 to less than 10. they give them the list of items they need in camp, and also the date to resume to camp and other relevant instructions. So that call is the golden call we are all talking about

so u mean even if 5 or 7 ppl where call after d interview to report to d state command for more information about dem and dey still call dem atleast once a week to ask dem few question dat its still not d final list?

This DSS recruitment thing is flawed, talking from experience..

not for all d state. some state wrote d exam and conducted d interview, dey even went further to verify applicant information by calling their refrees.

While state like Abuja ave not done any of d above. But let jst wait for d so called final list.

yes d date i gave still stands. officially dey are taking btw five and tem cadets per state. i said btw because dey r applying a quota system to d recruitment exercise so all state will not turn up d same number of cadets. some r tinking dat sss cannot commence training until d budget is passed. dat is far frm d truth. sss operates under a classified status so dey can recruit anytime dey like since d security vote which is also classified covers for training of recruits. all things been equal camp must commence dis month. i can assure u dat much

But some ppl are saying that ppl are still undergoing training in camp. pls hw true is dis tanks.

baabaa u are good 2go!!! Various state commands are doing their thing d way they consider best, while waiting for HQ DSS to give further instructions... We keep on waiting till they call... NB: Airforce DSSC application started ysterda and will end 13 april, age limit is 35years, application is FREE. We can still apply that one while waiting for DSS, abi? Afterall its free and online.

Bros God Almighty will not allow politicians to hijack dis process IJN Amen.
