Jobs/Vacancies / Re: State Civil Service Job Or Multinational Company Job? Which One Is Advisable? by suzzyrims: 2:17pm On Sep 24, 2020
Kindly take the multinational job. Civil service job is not worth it,the promotion you are talking about is not even guaranteed steadily. Take a job that would keep you on your toes and make you yearn for personal development. Besides, you are exposed to more opportunities if you work in a multinational coy

So sorry about your ordeal bro. Those guys are animals.BTW, is this how you guys will continue to fold your hands and look while LASMA,VIO,LOCAL GOVERNMENT TOUT HARASSES YOU ON THE ROAD and all you do is come here and rant about it. There is hardly any Uber/bolt driver that has not been harassed by any of these agencies. Most of the offences you are being harrased about are things you obviously don't even know about. If a road is one way,why don't they simply put an obvious signpost to depict that,if you are not supposed to turn why not put a sign post. With the way you guys are being extorted, government still want to collect plenty tax from YOU/UBER/BOLT.
If you all can't stage a peaceful process because of the country we have found ourselves. Simply go on twitter, have a good write up to air your views, tag Lagos state government and other people that matters, all uber drivers should simply follow the trend, tweet and retweet, trust me . Lagosians would pick it up. So many people are tired already and bear in mind that this affect UBER drivers mostly because most of you drive to areas you are not familiar with.

Family / Re: How Does An Average Nigerian Youth Escape Poverty? by suzzyrims: 7:28pm On Aug 25, 2020
emrain:
How to escape poverty in Nigeria

- become a yahoo boy

- become a big-time criminal

- if you find yourself in the uni, study a useful course and graduate with a minimum of 2.1. Also, at the very least, learn how to speak clean queens English

- learn a high-value skill

- Network up (as a poor boy, you'd have to be a chronic sycophant)

- prostitution

- if you're a woman, marry up.

Pick the one you have the capacity for.

How to remain poor

- Go to church every day
- Network with your hood people
- play bet9ja
- play video games to while away time
- Don’t read self-improvement books
- keep complaining, winning inconsequential arguments and losing friends.
- Finally, keep on praying, hoping that God will direct you to a random bag of money.

Apt.

But why are you so pained about this when you didn't even contribute a dime for the guy. Why drag his wife into this? This goes a long way to show the type of person you are. So uncouth

Hello Bolts,

We implore you to kindly look into the issues Drivers have been raising, so we can collectively and mutually benefit and enjoy the partnership relationship between Drivers community and your e-hailing ride sharing platform.

Your continuous disregard to situation of Drivers will one day serve as throw back to the operations of Bolts as an e-hailing company in the country.

Please kindly investigate and conduct proper research into the issue of poor and very low fare charges on trips offered to potential riders and customers especially in the city of Lagos.

Obstacles such as Traffic congestion, Terrible bad road network, Excessive interference of Law enforcement agents, increasing cost of vehicle parts, high cost of vehicle maintenance and repair, these and many more has hampered Drivers efforts to deliver quality service to customers and riders.

Adding to this now, is Bolts deliberate and conscious disbursement of close to zero charges and ride promos at the expense of Drivers pains and sweat, coupled with the back-breaking percentage commission charge of 20% levied on Drivers gross income.

The Drivers are sacrificing more than convenient and more than necessary to ensure the Team work which we signed into, yield results. We the Drivers under your platform Pray, that you likewise put forward a commiserate energy to the success of all this promotions in the following measures.

Firstly, the Drivers under your platform seek for a downward review of the companies Percentage commission, at most to an appreciable level. Convenient for all the connected stakeholders in the industry, namely Bolts, Drivers, Car owners(Investors), Riders etc.

Secondly, the Drivers under your platform seek and request, that you reverse and re-position the fare charges for trips to be at par with the quality, top notch, efficient service delivered at the door steps of homes, offices and at all hours as required by our highly esteemed customers and riders of this great establishment.

We kindly envisage and appreciate your prompt and respectful response to this requests. Thanks in advance and Remain Blessed.

Bolts Driver.

Hello Chinyce,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sincerely sorry about your experience with us.

Please be informed that your feedback is important to us and it helps us improve on our service delivery for a stronger brand.

Following the concerns raised, please be assured that this will be looked into.

All inconveniences are regretted.

Regards,

Chiamaka from bolt

Nice one, there should be a deliberate effort by drivers to make bolt know their deficiencies as regards pricing. If other drivers can send mails to them. I'm positive bolt team would have a re-think about the issue raised.

I lost my all the money in my account cos I wasn't following all the instructions in the group.

I funded again with just $30 and today I'm glad I did. From $30 to over $300 after multiple withdrawals.

Many thanks to @Saxy4c and smartmoneyken.

If you are a new trader, don't trade beyond the lotsize allotted to you or else, you will blow up your account. Learn never to overtrade, double or triple trade a currency pair simultaneously, if it goes against you will shit in your pant and it might sweep away your equity. Always take one currency pair at a time, never you double trade, except you know what you are doing or being guided by a pro. Remember to always add your stop loss.

Thanks for this. I had to learn the way as a newbie. I got my account blown up because I did over trade and did not use stop loss. The trades wiped my account and the amusing thing is it went back to my take profit point after my account was wiped. Lessons learnt. We move.

chiddyok:
Dear woman, you will never be submissive enough for a man you earn more than. You will either resent his headship on empty pocket or he will resent you and make life hell for you. Even if you submit your salary on both knees he will wonder why you got paid on time if you aren’t sleeping with your boss. To avoid stories that touch, until the day men can carry pregnancy, please let them till the ground and be the head. If you want to go far, marry a man who wants to go further. If you want to earn millions, look for a man who wants to earn double. Don’t let them fool you, there’s nothing like a submissive husband.

Well said. Men are egoistic and will still want maximum respect and total submission even when the wife earns more and obviously foot more bills in the home. To help the woman in doing some chores in the home becomes a problem when the woman is burdened with responsibilities that are supposed to be theirs. My take is any man that wants total submission and respect should take full responsibility regardless of if the wife earns more or not.

Boko Haram slaughtered 80+ on Saturday morning, how many tread did you open about getting them justice.

You people can go to America and protest your BLM there.

Thousands have been murdered in Southern Kaduna. How many tread did you open about BLM.

Hypocrites everywhere.

SARS are busy harasing 9ja citizens, how many times have you protested or even open a tread about justice.

I remember the lady at ikotun that SARS killed, when they shot a fleeing young man. How many of you protested.

All I see is low self esteem, trying so hard to be noticed.

Black lives doesn't matter!
All lives matters.
Let's stop this stupid blackmail.

Blacks are even more racist than white.

If not why would a governor appoint a lady from another state within same Nigeria and some stupid morons will be protesting they remove her because she's not an indigen of the state?

Infact let me just discontinue, cos am angry already.

Nonsense and ingredients?

Very deep.I wish I can like this post more than once. We are all hypocrites in this part of the world. We have our own internal demons but chose to overlook only to join USA in chanting black lives matter when a lot is happening right under our nose with nothing being done it.

Romance / Re: Why Do I Keep Meeting Girls From Troubled Families? by suzzyrims: 8:36am On Apr 27, 2020
realworld360:

I had a very similar experience to yours because when I was ready to settle down, I kept meeting girls with issues. On the third one, I just decided to settle for the lesser evil among them cos I thought they all seemed to have one issues or the other. How wrong could I be? The answer to your question is not farfetched. You need to look inward yourself. There is something in you that makes you attract them. The reason can either be physical or spiritual. First, it is physical in the sense that you may have been having lower expectations from the kind of ladies you want to marry. It is most times, a derivative of your own self-esteem. Before making a marriage plan with someone, you should ask yourself these questions: Am I marrying for sex or for purpose? If you are marrying for purpose, you may need to set bigger expectations for yourself to determine the kind of woman that will help you achieve your purpose. Some cardinal questions need to be answered: aside from sex and procreation, what will the lady contribute to your goal and aspirations? Do the ladies have the support system to assists you in case things go south in the marriage? Are you comfortable being the sole provider in the marriage? Are you going to spend your time and resources trying to solve other people’s problems? Things happen in a marriage and bear it in mind that when you’re marrying a lady, you are marrying her and her relatives and most importantly she will play an important role in determining the kinds of children you’ll produce for the next generation. These girls you described up there are girls with both physical and hidden spiritual luggage and couple with your own physical and spiritual issues that may not be visible to you which would likely create too many loose ends. This may either make or mar and sometimes delay your purpose from being achieved. If you are lucky enough not to move from one problem to the other. I don’t think most of these girls marry for love or fully understand marriage responsibilities, they most likely want to get married for the security that marriage provides. They tend to seek a partner that will offer a helping hand. They will be willing to marry anyone that has the means to help. You seem to be in SITUATIONSHIP rather than RELATIONSHIP. I know this because I have been married to one myself for about two years now and it’s been a tumultuous two years. I exhausted all the resources I had on trying to solve some underlying spiritual problems that she had that we didn’t know about and when things get tough, she was already contemplating leaving despite all the sacrifices I have made for the marriage without her contributing anything. It seems time had frozen for me and everything has gone downhill since then. The mistake I made that I will advise you not to make is that I didn’t had much expectation for the kind of wife I want to marry. I just wanted "a good person". Whatever that means now. We men tend to marry too low. Women mostly have an ideal man they want to marry--they use their head and not their heart, while we men use our heart and not our head; we just decide to marry for either beauty or personality. Please my brother, marry for purpose and not for sex and procreation.
