Ghen ghen story: A lady journalist Bukola Fasuyi, who claimed she introduced Foluke to her husband, Kayode, has come out with very serious claims that reveal Foluke & Kayode's marriage was built on deceit and lies. As a matter of fact, Bukola says Foluke, no doubt used and is using Juju on Kayode, a thing she and Foluke both planned together. You need to read this to the end, guys. Apparently full of biles, Bukola disclosed to E247mag that Foluke has really offended her. She alleged that she went too far in the romance that led to the marriage. “Foluke is an ungrateful element to me. I actually introduced her to Kayode, who, for a very longtime was my toaster but I told him I could not date him because I was not really interested and there was really no feeling for him. I told him I was not really interested because I was in a relationship. About the same time, Foluke had asked me to introduce her to someone who could help, so I introduced Kayode to her. I know he spends a lot on women, at least, he was dating a lady Princess Bimbo Olagunju, and he was spending so much to keep the girl. The same Princess knew how much Kayode liked me but I was not interested. So precisely February 13, 2012, I introduced Foluke to Kayode at Mama’s Place in Omole, Ikeja. I remember that I met Kayode during the hey days of Fasholamania, his campaign project for Governor Babatunde Fashola. I believed in the project and I knew he was committed to it not because he was getting any money. Anyway, Kayode and Foluke met, they were supposed to date each other but I never advised her to go and destroy Kayode’s home built over 15 years. I know Kayode dated Princess Abimbola currently in Dublin, but she never ventured to destroy his home. They dated for about five years, yes, the wife knew, the heat was so much. They had issues about that but it never got to marrying him and sending his wife away. Princess knew Kayode wanted me, she knew I could displace her but I remained his friend. But because he was always telling us about his home, the areas his wife failed, Foluke worked on it and the result is the marriage which I advised her not to go into. I have conscience, fine as a friend, I wanted the best for my friend (Foluke), but I know she threatened the home of Kayode, she was calling him at home at odd times, telling him how much she loved him. The next day after they met, he sent N100, 000, that week, he sent more money, about N500,000. The money came at a time Foluke had accommodation problem in Marwa’s Garden, so he secured an apartment for her. “At a point, I called Foluke that why had Kayode’s wife barely left her home that you started to sleep in his Omole house? I tried to advise her that she should not marry the guy, that all she should do was get his assistance; I told her she should put herself in the wife’s shoes. Since she realised I was advising her, she withdrew from me, she started to avoid me. Yes, he was having issues with his wife but that was not enough to move in. On few occasions, he insisted he was still in love with his wife. I strongly advised her against such moves but she went ahead with the marriage plans. I remember that even while dating Foluke, he had issues with her, he complained about her lifestyles, that she was a fraudster bla, bla, but as a true friend I have to step in. Kayode had wanted to go away. Yes, I know all she did that the marriage eventually came up, I was actually going with her to those places, yes, we went together and I’m waiting for her response and if she responds or denies my claim, then I will go all out to fight her. I’m ready to release all the pictures of the places we went together. I’m fighting her because she does not have conscience at all, I’m fighting her because she’s a desperado, I’m fighting her because she’s an ungrateful element. I never collected any money for introducing her to Kayode, ask her if I did but I told her ‘don’t marry this guy, think about his home.’ ‘‘Now I’m worried, my conscience is troubling me, I’m worried about the fact that I was indirectly or directly involved in the circumstance that led to the break of Kayode’s marriage. I don’t think Foluke should have gone this far, there are many factors involved, it was not ordinary and I want to tell the world that she does not deserve that man, I want to tell the world that I’m sorry that I did this to him and his family. I never advised Foluke to marry him; I just wanted him to help her out of her stormy life. I owe Kayode’s wife an apology and I know that I will go to her and say sorry soon. But before then, I owe it a duty to tell the world Foluke does not deserve Kayode and as the friend that introduced her to him, I’m sorry. Yes, the wife made some mistakes too; I’m putting all these in a book I’m writing soon. It’s not enough for you to decline the advice or suggestions of your husband on how he wants you as his wife to dress. Why should the wife turn the hubby’s invitation to go out together down? Her claim that she’s a pastor and not cut out to live a life in the social circuit leaves room for the other women to step in. For Kayode, he got carried away, he loves the fact that Foluke brings him to spotlight, that makes him a newsmaker of sorts. But in a swift reaction, Kayode Salako in an interview with E24-7 Magazine said Bukola is a devil’s agent and please don’t mind her. Yes, she introduced Foluke to me but she should step aside now that we are married. She claimed Foluke is using juju on me, but you know what? If that is true, I, Kayode Salako will know. I’m a real man. But if truly she’s using Juju, I need more of her juju, you know why, she has added value, brought me a lot of blessings. He recalled how she met Bukola who introduced him to Foluke. “ Yes, when I came back from abroad, I met Bukola, then I was lonely, my life was boring and we met. I liked her because she was so passionate about my Fasholamania’s project, she showed a lot of enthusiasm and we got so close, it was at a time my wife was very boring, so I asked her out, but she declined. She told me that she liked me but she would not date me for two reasons: one that her intentions will be misconstrued, two, it will be a burden on her that she will love me to the extent that she would love to marry me but that she had a friend, an actress, that she’s different from the pack. She gave her name as Foluke Daramola. Really, I never believed her that she could introduce Foluke to me. She’s one of the very few actresses I admired. Eventually, we met at Mama’s Place. Shortly after she called Foluke to join us and she did. We had fun, wined and dined together. That was all that night. The rest as they say is history. I don’t know why she’s into this campaign of calumny now. Why call Foluke names? What has she done to her? If Foluke is into juju, she should be a millionaire like some of her colleagues whose lifestyles are well known to us. I met Foluke a poor girl with her sanity and pride intact. I don’t know what she wants from all these. Foluke’s life is an open book and I like it. I have taken my decision and the action to live the rest of my life with Foluke and I’m ready to face the consequences of my action. Foluke not bemused responded. I have chosen not to talk but I respect you and your medium and I want to assure you that at the appropriate time, I will grant you an interview. Yes, Bukola came to me, she told me about her project and that she needed money. She believed I have so much that I should be given her now. But there is one thing about me; my life is an open book. I will not respond more than that. Let her go ahead with her tales. I know I have done no wrong. I appreciate the fact that she introduced me to Kayode but that does not mean she has to continue to call the shot. It’s just important she steps aside now that we are married. That should not hurt.” Kayode, Foluke, Bukola Source:: Laila Ikeji's blog

Auto Crash Kills Bride, 6 Family Members On The Way To Her Wedding Reception Tragedy struck on the highway between Hafr Al Baten and Dammam, the largest city in eastern Saudi Arabia when a bride on her way to her wedding reception with six members of her family were killed in a collision between their car and a trailer. The victims were four women, two men and one girl, said Fahad Al Ghamdi, a spokesman for the Red Crescent in the Eastern Province, Saudi media reported on Thursday. The tragedy happened at around 10:30am and reports said a third car was involved in the accident. In a separate accident in the gulf country, two young men were killed when their car crashed into a lamppost in Al Ihsa, an oasis region in eastern Saudi Arabia. Road accidents are numerous and often tragic on Saudi roads despite regular campaigns launched by the authorities to promote a safer traffic culture. The massive presence of trucks and trailers and a tendency by all drivers to speed are often blamed for the alarmingly high figures of accidents. Posted by niyi on March 31, 2013.

By Jide Ajani Fresh facts emerged, at the weekend, that former President Matthew Okikiolakan Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo is intensifying his opposition to the 2015 re- election aspiration of incumbent President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan. This is at a time when some hawks in the Presidency are pressing for decisiveness on the part of Mr. President, with a view to clipping Obasanjo’s wings. The latest indication about the former President’s moves are what sources described as the “series of meetings and consultations between Obasanjo and traditional rulers in the North”. A former state governor familiar with the surreptitious movements of Obasanjo in the last one month told Sunday Vanguard: “The former president has been moving round the North under the guise of being a special guest at functions; but the real reason for his visits to the North is the series of consultations he is holding with traditional rulers across the zones – save, of course, North East geo-political zone where the dreaded Jamaatu Ahlil Sunna Lidawati wal Jihad, otherwise known as Boko Haram, holds sway”. It was learnt that Obasanjo’s latest moves are “with a view to pacifying the North which heaps on his head all the blames for the loss of its hold on power as occasioned by the death of late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, a death which paved the way for the enthronement of Jonathan as president. “What Obasanjo has come to realize is that even most of those he considers his traditional friends and confidants poke disdain at him for his role in the imposition of the late Yar’Adua and Jonathan as presidential candidate and running mate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in 2007, and he is very desperate to make it up to ‘his people’” “The meetings are centred on how best the North can present a united front against the aspiration of Jonathan. And because of his vast network of friends across the country, Obasanjo is cashing all his cheques because of this project”. Sunday Vanguard can also report that the off-and-on relationship between Obasanjo and former military president, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, has again engaged the ‘ON’ mode. “When you see Obasanjo and Babangida coming together again with their interests coalescing, then you know something is in the air”, our source said. Another source – a former presidential aide – that is very familiar with the scheme, said, “It is not so much of what Obasanjo wants from the northern traditional rulers but what the rulers want from him. Yes, I can confirm to you that he has been all over the place and he has been holding series of consultations. The agenda is to work against the 2015 aspiration of President Jonathan”. Asked about the rumoured rapprochement between Obasanjo and his ex-deputy, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the source was emphatic in saying that “the two have not sat down to meet one on one but there are behind the scene consultations with a view to ensuring that happens”. In addition, Obasanjo is also said to be in consultation with a few PDP state governors who are very loyal to him, specifically Sule Lamido of Jigawa State and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State. Indeed, sensing this emerging threat, PDP Board of Trustees, BoT, Chairman, Chief Tony Anenih, launched a counter offensive. Already, the BoT Chairman has held talks with Lamido, Kwankwaso, Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger State, and Governor Mukhtar Yero of Kaduna State, among others. His rescue mission is to “ensure that a proper reconciliation is engendered between the President and the state governors”, a very dependable source told Sunday Vanguard. The talks, which are continuing, are said to be “yielding very positive results”. On his part, Jonathan himself held talks with a section of Yoruba leaders three weeks ago in Lagos. Sunday Vanguard learnt that the meeting, which had some elders in the land as well as a very strategic traditional ruler in attendance, explored ways of pacifying the S/West geo-political zone which is increasingly becoming vociferous about its claims of marginalization under the Jonathan administration. The Yoruba leaders, who do not appear to be on the same page with the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, or its intended successor party, the All Progressive Congress, APC, are to hold another round of talks with the President at a later date. Interestingly, even as the President patience is being taxed by Obasanjo’s scheme, some hawks in Aso Rock Presidential Villa are of the view that the former President’s wings should be clipped. A Presidency source told Sunday Vanguard:”It is because President Jonathan is mild-mannered; if not, are we not living witnesses to how the former President deployed state power to haunt those he perceived as capable of stopping him from achieving his failed Third Term agenda? “That he is walking the streets of Nigeria free does not mean he is a saint, especially the way he’s been carrying on. Is it not the mess that he created after eight years in office that this administration is still battling to clear”?, the Presidency source quipped.

BY Kenneth Ehigiator & DANIEL ETEGHE Over 75 passengers and crew narrowly escaped death Thursday as a Rabat, Morocco-bound Royal Air Maroc flight lost one of its engines mid-air. The flight, which took off at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at about 7:30am, had on board National President of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Garba Mohammed, and seven other Nigerian journalists who were to attend the Federation of Africa Journalists conference in Morocco. The other journalists include National Secretary, NUJ, Shuaibu Liman, National Treasurer, Fatima Abdulkarim, Mukhtar Gidado, former Vice President, Zone E, Gbenga Onayiga, as well as chairmen of Bauchi and Kogi states chapters of the union. Also on board the flight was a group of Beninois journalists who were billed to attend the same conference. Vanguard gathered that the aircraft, Boeing 737-800, was already an hour into the flight when the pilot noticed failure in one of the engines of the twin-engine aircraft. He was said to have immediately embarked on a return to point of take-off and called for emergency landing. Lagos airport officials who preferred anonymity, said fire tenders and ambulance vehicles were deployed in response to the emergency declared by the pilot. Fire hydrants were reportedly deployed in runway 18R where the pilot was expected to land the aircraft, having shed off fuel. The pilot was, however, said to have landed safely without any injury to passengers and bodily damage to the aircraft. Passengers who had urgent appointments to keep in Morocco reportedly engaged officials of the airline in war of words for deploying an aircraft deemed not airworthy. The intervention of airport officials was said to have prevented what could have been an ugly spectacle at the airport. NUJ President, Garba Mohammed, who thanked God for averting what could have been a major disaster, said the aircraft engines on take-off made some deafening vibrations, which frightened passengers on board. He quoted the Beninois journalists as saying the engines gave a similar sound when they took off in Cotonou yesterday morning en route Lagos. At press time, it was learnt that the airline was making arrangements to check the passengers into an hotel as stipulated by international civil aviation regulations, with a promise to airlift them to their destination today. Two employees of a subsidiary of Keystone Bank Plc Joachim Nnosiri and Uguru Onyike have admitted that they were coerced to make false allegations of forgery against former Managing Director, Bank PHB Plc Francis Atuche. Keystone came into being after acquiring Bank PHB's assets. Both men who work with the Central Shared Services Centre of Keystone Bank made the claims in separate bail applications filed before a Lagos High Court in Ikeja on Thursday. Nnosiri and Onyike were both arraigned on March 26 along with Atuche for alleged forgery. In the charges filed before Justice Adeiniyi Onigbanjo, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission alleged that the defendants had on March 4, attempted to smuggle forged board resolutions of some companies into Keystone Bank's records at its headquarters in Lagos. Contrary to EFCC's claim, both men said they had brought the documents to the attention of the bank authorities acting on a subpoena issued by Justice Lateefat Okunnu also of the Lagos High Court in Ikeja. Okunnu had issued the subpoena on the bank asking it to produce the documents in respect of a N25.7bn theft charges preferred against Atuche, his wife, Elizabeth; and former Financial Officer of Bank PHB, Ugo Anyanwu. In their affidavits attached to their bail applications, they maintained that they found the documents in the possession of Keystone Bank, and were only forced to accuse Atuche of trying to smuggle the documents into the bank. The affidavits were filed through their counsel, Messrs Clement Onwuenwunor and Bamidele Adewunmi. On his part, Nnosiri claimed that he found the board resolutions in the bundle of documents being rearranged in the CSS department and forwarded them to Onyike, who was his supervisor. Nnosiri stated, "I was locked up in the office of Mr Waidi Gbadamosi, the chief inspector of the bank till about 10 pm in the night. "He and other senior officers of the bank surrounded and threatened me for insisting that the documents were at our department. "I was forced to change the statement and to say that the documents were given to me by Atuche which I did at the EFCC so as to secure my job." Source:: The Punch

BY FESTUS AHON UGHELLI — There was apprehension, yesterday, in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, following the killing of a retired soldier and his wife by their 32-year-old lunatic daughter. Sources said the retired Army Warrant Officer, Mr Jonah Elili, and his wife gave up the ghost after they were hit with a pestle by the daughter whose name was given as Elo. The lifeless bodies of the retired soldier, 75 and his wife, 65, were reportedly discovered in the early hours of yesterday by a neighbour who had gone to purchase some items from the deceased couple’s shop. A source who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the neighbour had, after knocking at their door for several minutes without response, peeped into the house and was shocked to find the husband and wife lying in a pool of blood. The source said the woman raised alarm which drew the attention of people in the neighbourhood, adding that the last they knew or heard about the family was when the retired Warrant Officer came out to drag his daughter who ran outside naked, back into the house and locked her up. According to the eye witness, the couple was blessed with seven children (two boys and five girls), including the one that was afflicted with insanity who had been roaming about the community. Meanwhile, the said Elo had been detained at the Oleh Police Station. She was alleged to have told detectives that she reportedly killed her parents because they hated her. “My parents hate me. They locked me up in a room where they first hit me before I retaliated with a pestle. I saw blood and that is all I know,” Elo reportedly said. A senior Police officer in Oleh confirmed the story, saying a signal had been sent to the appropriate authority just as the matter was being transferred to the state police headquarters in Asaba for further investigations. A Norwegian kindergarten teacher has been fired after she brought a vial of her own blood to class and allowed children to touch and taste it,the head teacher of the kindergarten said last week. The teacher in Sola, on Norway’s western coast, brought in a blood sample that was taken earlier in the day and poured it on a plate for the children, aged between 3 and 6, to see. “The children asked if they could touch it and she allowed them,” Inger Lise Soemme Andersen told Reuters. “Then they asked ‘how do we get it off?’ so she put her finger in her mouth and the children followed suit. “The parents are mortified, shaken and shocked.” Soemme Andersen added that the teacher, a temporary employee, had been tested for AIDS and Hepatitis B following the incident. Results of the tests are not yet in, but authorities consider the risk very low. Na war oooo |
