One of Nigeria’s best comedians — Ayo Makun aka AY, is set for his debut movie, 30 Days In Atlanta to hit cinemas across the country.

The movie, which was crowned comedy movie of the year at the recently held Best of Nollywood awards, will hit cinemas on Friday, October 31, 2014.

30 Days In Atlanta is an adventurous love story spiced with lots of action and moments of humour, tells the story of the famous comic character, ‘Akpos’ who goes all the way to Atlanta from Warri.

Akpos, with his unique personality, shows off his ‘Warri smarts’ and foolishness in an exciting mix of rhetoric and humour.

An impromptu social commentator and self-appointed psychologist, Akpos finds relevance in everything and everyone around him.

The movie, which already has 11 nominations at the upcoming GIAMA Awards in Houston, features a star-studded cast including AY, RMD, Ramsey Nouah, Mercy Johnson, Desmond Elliot, Vivica Fox, Lynn Whitfield, Karlie Redd, Majid Michel, Juliet Ibrahim, Kese Jabari, Rachel Oniga, Ada Ameh and others.

I just watched you this morning, oh my God” She started shouting and called the attention of the entire supermarket, “Come and see, he’s an actor from my country, Nigeria.
I just watched him this morning!” I begged her to stop and she paid for everything I bought in the supermarket that day."

Management of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) has officially published list of her newly elected Students Union Government (SUG) Executives for the 2014/2015 academic session.

As reported on FUTO website, a new set of executive to handle the affairs of the FUTO Students Union Government has been elected. It would be recalled that in compliance with the provisions of the constitution of the FUTO Students Union Government, the Vice-Chancellor inaugurated a 7-member Independent Students Electoral Commission on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 to effectively flag off the process for the conduct of the election for the FUTO Students Union Government for the 2014/2015 session.

The Commission which is statutorily charged with the responsibility for the issuance of guidelines for the election, accreditation of eligible voters, conduct and supervision of the elections successfully conducted free, fair and credible election into the Students Union Government on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.

However, due to some hitches in the computer systems, a bye election was held on Friday, September 19, 2014 for position of the President and Secretary-General.

<b>List Of New FUTO SUG Executives</b>

The following candidates emerged victorious from the election:

He noted that the new SUG executive is expected to support and implement the ideals of the culture of excellence.

The new SUG Executive will soon be inaugurated.

Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Unizik merit list 2014 has now been released on the school’s official website and open for checking.

Candidates who may or may not have checked their UNIZIK admission status on JAMB portal can now verify their admission status on school website.

The authorities of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka have uploaded the 2014/2015 admission lists on the university website <b>my.unizik.edu.ng</b>

Candidates are therefore advised to logon to the website and click on admission status link and check their status.

This article is to help prospective students of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka with difficulties in checking their admission status through the university website.

Kindly go through this latest update from UNIZIK as reported by their Facebook page admin.

1. The admission lists have been uploaded. It was never done alphabetically.

2. If you checked your status and ‘Admission Process Still in Progress’ was displayed, kindly keep on checking because additional lists MAY BE uploaded.

3. That you were admitted on Jamb website is NEVER a guarantee that you will be admitted via the school website.

This is because the university authorities had earlier disowned the lists uploaded on Jamb website and described the lists (Jamb lists) as handwork of a fraudster.

4. If you have been admitted via the school website, note that you can only print your admission letter from JAMB site when instructed to do so by the university. This means that if you are not admitted via the school website, never waste your money purchasing Jamb admission letter printing scratch card.

5. 2014 E-clearance module is not yet activated on the university website as at the time of filing this report but note that all physical clearances are expected to kick off on Monday 27th October, 2014 so endeavor to pay your acceptance and biometric verification fees as soon as possible and complete your E-clearance immediately it’s module is activated on the university website to avoid THE UNKNOWN.

In an interview with NET, KCEE said ‘I’m very angry with the way people write stories these days, I never said anything, I didn’t say anything. Akpors - after his first time of leaving the village to the city went searching for a job and finally, he came to a big company to make inquires in respect of the advertisement which was being placed outside.

Akpors being so eager didn't read the advertisement properly.
He just dashed into the company and began to ask for the MD.
Little did he know that a job of such magnitude requires someone who has been to different parts of the world.

On getting there, the MD decided to have a little interview with him.

MD: Hello young man, what can I do for you?

AKPORS: Good morning sir, I am Akpors Apororo and I came concerning the advertisement placed outside your company.
