It was alleged that the suspect committed the crime with a group of his friends whom are all from the North, including himself.

Three suicide bombers, two girls and a boy, killed 30 people and injured 39 others when they detonated explosives in Nigeria’s northeast, emergency response officials said on Monday.

One of the bombers, detonated his explosive outside a cinema hall where soccer fans had gathered to watch a match on Sunday night in Konduga, a remote town in Borno State.

At least 24 people died according to Bello Dambatta, head of the rescue team of State emergency operations.

A few kilometers from the hall, the girls, whose ages are unknown, blew themselves up and killed another six people and injured 17 others.

“They positioned themselves in different spots in the same area. Most of the people who died were from the viewing center. At least 24 people died when he blew himself up and 21 people were injured,” Dambatta told CNN.

Ikon Abdullahi, a spokesman for the national emergency response team, told CNN many of those wounded in the blasts have been evacuated to specialists hospital in the Maiduguri capital as local hospitals do not have enough personnel and resources to handle the casualties.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack but Boko Haram terrorists have carried deadly attacks in Borno state, bombing mosques, markets and public places of gathering.

Eight people died in a suicide bombing targeting worshippers in a mosque in Konduga in July 2018.

The militant group has been known to recruit children kidnapped from towns and villages in northern Nigeria into their ranks to carry out suicide attacks.

NYSC will communicate to corps members on N30,000 allowance says DG

According to Brig Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim, NYSC Director-General, stated that the National Youth Service Corps will communicate to corps members whenever the payment of the new allowance of N30,000 begins.

This statement was made in a special program named “NYSC Freedom of Information Desk Officers” a workshop held in Abuja. DG on Friday noted that the scheme had grappled with challenges occasioned by what he described as the apparent lack of knowledge of the NYSC’s policies and operations by a section of the public.

When questioned about the information on the proposed N30,000 allowance for corps members, the DG said, “They will be communicated accordingly, please.”

The girl who was allegedly drugged at a nightclub and gang-raped on February 3, 2019, by two dropouts of Babcock University, Don-Chima George and Olusegun Razak – in a hotel owned by George’s dad – wants the criminal suit filed against them withdrawn.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the complainant made the request during proceedings at an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court on Thursday, via a “Letter of Withdrawal”.

In the letter, dated June 3, 2019, which was read in court by Justice Abiola Soladoye, the complainant attributed her decision to the “intervention of family members” and for the sake of her integrity.

However, Mr Akin George, a Deputy-Director in the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) and lead state prosecutor, however, opposed the complainant’s request.

An OAP of Nigeria Info Fm, Koffi has come on twitter to reveal his ordeal at the hands of officers of SARS.

Via his twitter handle, @koffi_bartels he disclosed the following:

- Yesterday, I was driving in my area and saw SARS officers beating up a boy who lives in the area. His mum fries Akara for a living and I knew immediately that they wouldn't be able to 'settle' the officers. He kept shouting "what have I done",

- while they tried to force him into their bus. They were beating the hell out of him and don't know if he would have survived. I made to go plead with them but at a point hesitated and chose to take a shot of the bus and numberplate.

I was given the beating of my life right on

- the road. They started by smashing my knees repeatedly with wooden bars. As I type this, my left knee is swollen and my right knee seriously bruised. I have pains on my head, neck and back.

I was handcuffed like a common criminal and shots were fired to disperse a small crowd

- that had gathered. After a second round of beating, I was taken to SARS HQ in Port Harcourt where I was beaten more mercilessly by the SARS officers who took me there. About three others also joined in. They are took turns to slap, punch, kick me all over my body in a

- detention room, while I was struggling with a swollen knee. At least 6 officers, one at a time. One swore he would have "wasted" me if his team were the one who picked me up. I was told to get ready to be thrown into their cell where I would receive the worst torture, including

- sexual abuse by male inmates.

The Brazilian football star, Neymar, has strongly denied an accusation that he raped a woman in Paris.

According to a police report filed in São Paulo, the woman alleges that the attack took place in a hotel in the French capital, where Neymar plays for Paris St-Germain (PSG).

Neymar’s management put out a statement saying the footballer “completely repudiated” the accusation.

Neymar is now in Brazil training with the national team for the Copa América.

What are the allegations?
According to police documents, the woman – who has not been named – got to know Neymar on Instagram and he suggested they meet in Paris.

He provided her with an air ticket from Brazil to France and a reservation at the Hotel Sofitel Paris Arc Du Triomphe.

When Neymar came to the hotel on 15 May, he was “apparently drunk,” the woman alleges.

What does Neymar say?
In a statement released after the accusations became public, the footballer’s management said: “We completely repudiate the unjust accusations and, above all, the exposure in the press of an extremely negative situation.”

The footballer’s father, Neymar dos Santos, told Band TV in Brazil on Saturday that “it is clear that it was a trap”.

“If public opinion is not cleared up, and if we can’t show the truth rapidly, this will snowball. If we have to show Neymar’s WhatsApps and the conversations with this girl, we will,” he added.

The first messages in the video by Neymar are dated March 11. The video also includes multiple erotic photos and messages he says he exchanged with the complainant. The last date of message in the video is of May 16, a day after she has reported that she met him in Paris. But there is no reference to the alleged crime.

EFCC, on Friday, May 31, 2019, arraigned the controversial official of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Philomina Chieshe, who claimed that the missing N36 million, JAMB proceeds in her custody, was swallowed by a snake in Makurdi, Benue State, JAMB office.

Chieshe was arraigned alongside five others, namely: Samuel Umoru, Yakubu Jekada, Daniel Agbo, Priscilla Ogunsola, and Aliyu Yakubu, before Justice Peter Afen of a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, Abuja.

Chieshe became notorious in February 2018, after she told account auditors the snake sneaked into the office and ate N36 million cash generated from sales of e-JAMB cards.
