We earlier reported that Zlatan was released and his friends came out to say it wasn't the Fall crooner that bailed them out, Davido reacted angrily to the accusations.

The House of Representatives has resolved to intervene in the crisis rocking the University of Lagos, Akoka, including investigating the alleged breach of procurement law by the management.

The motion was titled, ‘Need for urgent investigation into allegations of gross statutory breaches, including violation of the Public Procurement Act 2007 by the management and governing council of the University of Lagos.’

Moving the motion, Gbefwi said, “The House notes that contrary to its statutory mandate and powers, past and present management of the university had operated the institution in a manner that breaches extant laws, rules and regulations applicable to public service.

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday gave insight into why Leah Sharibu, who was held-back by the Boko Haram Islamist sect over her refusal to denounce her Christian faith a year ago, was yet to be freed.

Most of the Dapchi School Girls that were abducted alongside Leah Sharibu have since regained their freedom because they are Moslems but Miss Sharibu was not released because she refused to denounce her faith.

Meanwhile, President Buhari has assured parents of the Chibok girls still in the captivity of Boko Haram that he has not forgotten the girls and that efforts were still on to ensure their freedom.

Recall that many school girls of Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, were abducted from their dormitory five years ago (April 14, 2014) during the regime of former President Goodluck Jonathan, while Sharibu was kidnapped from her school, Science Secondary School, Dapchi, Yobe State, on February 19, 2018. under President Buhari.

A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, in Abuja, stated that President Buhari was aware that the promise he made was the main reason the people of Chibok voted overwhelmingly for him in the February elections.

A new video has surfaced showing Shoki Shitta exposing how Davido paid 2 guys to go about abusing Wizkid whom he called his boss.

The video surfaced few hours after a video showed him getting beaten by some thugs in Shitta. This was in reaction to a video which showed Shoki Shitta insulting Wizkid with claims that people don’t want to listen to his songs in Shitta because Davido has taken over.



He was severely beaten by the thugs who used sticks, belts, brooms and even hot water on him. Less than 24 hours after some videos emerged of one Baruwa Eleniyan beating a man identified as Shoki for openly criticizing Wizkid for not settling them in Shitta, Surulere, the Lagos State police has effected his arrest.

Earlier, we reported how Davido Dashed Shoki Shitta a huge sum of money after he found out that he was beaten by Wizkid fans.

Baruwa was picked up last night and is currently in police custody. Obtained from him is an alleged conversation between him and Wizkid, detailing how Shoki was nabbed.

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC has on Monday confirmed the abduction of Abraham Amuta, a corps member abducted by members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect in Borno.

The report was confirmed by the Borno State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr Rabiu Aminu, on Monday in Maiduguri.

In an earlier report gathered on social media, the corps member was abducted along with a pastor with the Living Faith Church, in an attack by the insurgent in Maiduguri.

The colourful fourth edition of the African Drum Festival in Abeokuta, Ogun State, was once again an epicenter for Africa’s cultural wealth and glamour, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, was a beehive of events as it played host to troupes from within and outside the country. The fourth edition of African Drum Festival, a brainchild of the Ogun State Government, attracted contingents from Europe, about 27 African countries as well as troupes from 26 States of the country and 71 independent performers.

The venue this time was the 10,000-capacity amphitheater at Oke-Ilewo, in the heart of Abeokuta. Filled to its capacity, troupes armed with myriads of drums and artistic costumes, which depicted their ethnicity diversities, took turns displaying superlative cultural performances. The Festival, themed, ‘Drumming The Future,’ also featured the launch of the Ogun Adire logo, with its trade mark, the unveiling of the Kuti’s heritage house and a round table workshop at Olumo Rock. There was also a Train ride, tagged, ‘Rail, Reading and Ride,’ from Iju-Ishaga in Lagos to Lafenwa in Abeokuta and a performance by Seun Kuti, in honour of his father, the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
