The way these guys dey chop ehnn.
Do you know that these species of snail are actually banned in the US, there are considered as an invasive specie, so you can’t bring a live snail into the US. A county in Florida was quarantined because of the discovery of some African Giant snail.

How do you know the hatching temperature range to regulate the incubator for hatching?
they do not require any specific temperature to hatch, not too hot, not too cold, away from sunlight. Moist loamy soil…. That’s the perfect simulation of the garden temperature

My makeshift incubator.
Sincerely I don’t really have to incubate the eggs, but the snails broke an egg the last time I went to check on the previous clutch of eggs

Agriculture / Re: How Do I Take Care Of Ants In My Flower Garden by swaqq(m): 8:03am On Oct 26, 2022
Dig a hole, the size of the shovel mouth. Then pour palm oil or soup into it. Come back after 30 minutes to 1 hour. Once you see ants, boil water asap and pour the hot water inside the hole starting from the mouth of the hole. After they have died, bury them inside that same hole, you can repeat it once in a week. This is how I keep ants away from my snail farm

Well done sir.

Your progress is inspiring. I started a small snail garden about 2 months ago using 2 tyres and wild snails. Although I don't have time to maintain them (24 snails), I still feed them with lettuce & bell peppers left over from the farm.

From your post, I learnt they need calcium supplement. I might crush some egg shells and feed them with it.

Great work. Maybe I should start a thread on vegetable cultivation
I will advice that you don’t start with wild snails, their production will be low as they are not used to being in captivity.

Interesting.

I recently acquired on plot of land and my initial plan was to train snails on it though I have decided to go with turkeys instead.

You are now making me rethink my decision.

Maybe I will also do a mini snail farm on the side and see how it goes
perfect, the best is to start small scale

I think it should be fine even with the transparent trap since the place is not air tight.

Either way you want the place to always be moist adding plants is a good look to provide shade.

Maybe even adding some sort of system to provide a mist of water

Woow this is amazing..
Please did you cover the roof? What are the things you planted there and how do you keep the room spray water or how... Please answer the questions please thanks
if it’s covered, the plant won’t germinate. I usually hand wet, but it has been raining lately so I don’t wet often

good evening sir ya doing well, please how long does it take a snail to lay eggs, and after laying how long will it take to ash it and marketing level?
6 to 7 months to reach laying stage depending on calcium feeding intake, hatching is between 21 to 40 days depending on the breed of snail and the eggs environment. Marketing level is usually a year and 6 months or more, but it’s all depends on how you feed and care for your snails

Pls how many months will it take for the snail to mature
when you say maturity, I believe you mean the age a snail starts laying; depending on how you feed your snails, they should begin laying at 6 months old
