Good afternoon pls i am new to this thread....pls i would like to know what are the steps to take to process and apply for a canada immigration visa either by FSWP or student and how will i go about the IELTS exam is it compulsory. Pls i need a guide on where to start from because i was told its a long process and the visa processing too takes time and the IELTS exam too is kinda tough but i want to be sure of how to go about it so i can know how to gather my documents and probably prepare for the IELTS exams and what materials to read.

I have been to the canada site but there are just too much information to read and digest at the same time.

Thanks

Hello to everyone in d house most expecially to the Guru's here u are doing a wonderful work here may God crown all our efforts ooo....

I seriously need a Candid advice on this....

I stated here sometimes back about a 10years ban was given for my visit visa.... After giving birth in UK and making all d necessary payments....NHS not reconciling the money and relating it to the home office....my status here in nija as a student my sch not authenticating my documents.... etc

Anyway to cut the whole story short still on the Ban.... I have not really done anything about it yet but NHS matter has been settled....

but now I am planning to apply for a spouse visa since my hubby already has his residence permit and his also due for his British passport this year.... My child too has been given his British Passport but still resides here with me in Nigeria.... My hubby comes and travels back like every year to visit us.... We have also legalised our marriage....

My question do u think I should apply for a spouse visa or Permanent stay now since my circumstances has changed?

My hubby is also planning to take our Child with him to d UK to spend 2weeks so he can also claim that he is unable to take care of our 7year old child alone without his mother when filling the application. Do u think its a good shot? It looks some how to me

Do u also think they won't revisit the Ban issue again? Do u think it won't affect the spouse application I want to apply for?

And what is the advantage of my child's British passport to me?

What do u guys think cos I don't want to make any mistake this time. I want to be very careful

Pls I would like to know if US embassy is opened for applications now I m willing to apply again... I applied last year with my child but was denied with no reason that was b4 d pandemic.....

I also would like to ask do I need to take my child again with me to the embassy because he already has a British passport now... Is there a need for him to apply or he does not need a visa to travel to US and me what are my chances of getting a visa this time if I take my child along with his British passport?

Just confused....
Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by sweetgold5: 9:11pm On Apr 28, 2021
I applied for France short stay visit visa last year 2020 before the pandemic and it was granted. I was given a month tourist visa with my child and which they also stated on my passport that on the day I return I should come along with my child to the embassy to see us that we came back together.... But unfortunately we were unable to use the visa because of the pandemic I waited maybe there would be a news regarding those that were issued visa newly but no till the visa expired.

But I still went to the embassy with my child for show up and also explain why we couldn't go for the trip which they asked me to put it in writing and that they are awear of the situation....

But up till now no news regarding France short stay visa is long stay application they are accepting at the moment... I want to ask should I apply for the long stay visa? What are my chances or I should still keep waiting till God knows when....?

And I don't even know what the procedure will be again once they open for short stay application maybe is to reapply from the beginning or they may give is some consideration?

Besides my child status has also changed my child now has a British Passport are we still going to be able to travel together to France?

Am comfused here.... I need ur advice! Pls
Thanks

When all these is over, those that have been issued visa will have their visa issuance revisited and there will be an extension. But it will come at a cost lower than the normal issuance fee in the form of processing fee.
Stay cool and calm... You've got your visa covered!!!

I am just wandering that what's the fate of those that their visas were granted a week or two even days before the complete lockdown due to Covid 19. Some countries like France still issued Visas till end of March.

What's going to happen to those visas will it be cancelled or extended and if cancelled, will the applicant have to reapply with all new doc again and start all over from the beginning....

And if extended...does it apply to all types of visas? because according to a message on their website they extended visas already issued for all long term visa and any other relevant type of visa but they did not mention short term visa. Does it mean short term visa is not inclusive?

What should applicants do? Do they need to write to them or rather send a mail to them informing them about the reason why they are unable to use the visa and plead for an extension or they should just fold their arms and look.

Please I need your suggestions on this and travel experts too can also advice. This case is just so different and confusing.

Thanks.
Pls stay safe!

Well, it's simple. They said you have an outstanding payment ot make to NHS. Contact the hospital where you gave birth and find out why the outstanding charge since you said you cleared all the payment before coming back.

The second reason is that the document you obtained was fraudulent because the the school didn't authenticate it when they contacted them. If you are sure the document in question is genuine, go back to the school and obtain a headed letter saying the document is genuine.

Thank you so much all for your advice. You guyz are wonderful.

Please I need your advice on how to go about my refusal.....

This is so painful after traveling to the UK for more than 5times and applying for more than 3times and also putting to bed in the UK and paying all the NHS outstanding bills......I still got refused! Based on unclassified facts.

Please guys I need your advice on how to handle this refusal and I would also like the gurus in the house to please interpret this refusal letter for me because I really do not understand it.

They gave 2 reasons for my refusal
1. That I did not complete my NHS payment....which I did already and also submitted all the receipts given to me by CCI UK.but it seems they did not confirm from CCI about the payments..... Meanwhile I have called CCI today and they said they will send a mail to the hospital to inform them I have completed my payments (something they should have done before now)

2. The most painful part is my school they claim I am not a student DAT my documents are counterfeits!.......And this is obviously not true! They sent a mail to my school to verify if I m a student and the school replied them yes! I am surprised they are still saying I used a false document.

Please if my school writes them again will that change anything? And also the Hospital in London. Please I need your advice please its very important and urgent please! What are my chances? Please what do I do?

After waiting up to a month for a reply I still got refused meanwhile my daughter was also refused because I was refused and he's travelling with This is so painful. Please what can we do is there still a solution?

Thanks as always

Well.... In my opinion .... it depend on how your hubby obtain his stay in the UK... you need to think ... before you start saying I wish havent...
1st. You can apply and be silent abt your hubby if you did not mention abt him in your 1st visa apply application... (with that u have not lie or you might be having issues with him at the time of this application which you can easily explain in future if you want to apply for spouse visa)
Go by you want to visit ur uncle and have holiday with your child in a country where the child was born... provide all necessary docs including ur skl docs, child birth certificate the NHS payment receipts and hope for the best....
pls if ur hubby ILR is not obtained in a straight forward way (hope you unstd wat I mean) pls dont include the man ooo...
My own experience... not visa related becos I am british but... this people can digg things oooo beyond ur imagination... and can link up things ooooo.

Thank you so much I really appreciate your contribution

Yes he got his permit in d right way..... Your suggestion of not including him in my application was what came to my mind at first but I m just scared abt it as I don't know the future implication if it can be defended..... You understand my fear!

I suggest that you tell the truth bluntly whether for visiting visa or spouse visa.

It doesn't take time to gather payslip if your hubby has being working for at least 6months with the same company because employers send payslips to employees weekly or monthly.

He doesn't need to have £18,600 in his account he only need to prove that he earns that amount yearly and a letter from his company, his payslips or his P60 from tax office which he should have since April 5 can be used as an evidence of that.

If you want to apply for visiting visa then go ahead and be honest while on it, you are taking your kid to see the daddy, get a letter from him, 6months bank statement, 6months payslips, evidence of accommodation(Tenancy agreement or mortgage paper) and data page of his passport.

If he is holding ILR then a photocopy of his ILR card.

Submit your marriage certificate, receipt of NHS bill, your kid birth certificate, your admission letter, your last result report, school ID and a letter from your school.

Since you are student obviously your hubby support financially, you need to include evidence to money or gift sent to you from him

Evidence of communication..whatsapp chats, phone call log, emails, facebook etc..whichever way both of your keep in touch include evidence of that.

And lastly pictures of both of you together during your visits

Thank you @justwise for your advice I really appreciate and everyone that has given me one advice or the other I sincerely appreciate you have made me understand this application more.

But @justwise one of the reasons why my hubby cant invite me now is because his contract job he was doing b4 ended last year November and he has not gotten any other job since then and besides he has been traveling so dats why he can't invite us now and I don't think we can still use the payslips of last year. He is just trying to get another job now. That's was why we decided to use my uncle since he has been inviting me before..... Can I still use my uncle as the invitee and the sponsor?

But now I see this things might be a bit some how.... Is there another way I can go about it... Like claiming I m not yet married..... That will mean I will have to change my passport is that even possible?

I don tire oo!

Why Seriously why? Your hubby lives in the UK as ILR holder and you want to lie about this?

So what do you suggest I do?

You guys are asking me to go down the spouse route we all know what that too entails and how long it takes. Earning £22,000 and £18,600 is almost the same thing and its not easy to get that and even if.... it will take time to gather payslips and all that.... My hubby and I has also tout about that that's why we tout of giving the visitor visa a short....

I have never overstayed ever since I have been going to the UK I also put to bed I still came back to 9ja and also paid the NHS bills and I waited about 3yrs before trying to apply again because I want my child to go and visit my uncle and his family and also to let my child see where she was born and other beautiful places alongside visit her father ......

At least they should consider all this and see a reason why they should give me the visa now.....

I am just so disturbed because I don't want to be refused.... Please what do u suggest I can add to back up my application i m a student doing masters..... Is that enough.....

Please guyz help me out..... That's why I ve come here

You need to be carful , as I smell instant refusal here. Applying to go visit a spouse in the UK actually reduces chances of obtaining a visit visa. ECO will doubt you aren’t trying to avoid the spouse visa process and just want to step in with visitor visa and then become an overstayer .

Based on Your Story, I presume you “married” your husband after obtaining your last UK visitor visa. And I hope your marriage certificate also proves that. If it’s not the case, don’t attempt visitor visa again. There is no way around it. Even if you want to claim your hubby is in Nigeria, you are shooting yourself the more.

Another blunder , uncle is inviting and sponsoring you but you want to also visit your husband . My dear even if the eco is drunk at the time of processing your application , it’s a huge red flag. He/she will doubt you will rerun and will most likely refuse your visa.

Another blunder, if you intend migrating to the UK anytime, do not lie again about Who your husband is . Cos it will hunt you.

It’s not really rocket science , I am sure you already know these things.

Best approach... go down the spouse visa route. Not sure how the visitor visa will play out.

Now you are making me more scared and confused.... Seriously.....

Please guyz what do I do!

My advice since y hubby have gotten his Indefinite leave to remain (ILR) or permanent residency (PR) ps indicate in your application that u are going to visit y hubby, this will even boost y spouse application when y hubby is ready to fille for u and yr kid, atleast the consulate officer will know that u av been visiting y hubby. Put y hubby address, indicate the status he has and even attached copies of his passport and residential stamp. If u say he reside in Nigeria it will affect y spouse application in future.

Since y hubby has a permanent stay in the UK no need to be afriad, the consulate officer will not denial u visit bc u want to visit y hubby.

Thank you so much for your response

But is my uncle that is inviting me and also sponsoring my trip and stay but in colabo with my hubby he has been the one inviting me before my hubby got his stay. Do you mean I should just include it in my application that I will also be visiting my hubby during my visit.

Secondly if my hubby writes a consent letter to bring his child to UK does he also need to put his passport data page and include his status or I should just be silent about his status and allow them to figure it out themselves..... I m scared ooo.... I hope they won't conclude that I won't be coming back to 9ja and thereby refuse my application.

Please put me through more.....

Thanks

Did you overstayed on your last visit to give birth? Why would you want to misinform UKVI? Do you not know that by providing your child UK birth certificate in the application, that UKVI has the resources to track the father location anywhere in the world. So there is really no need to complicate things. Beside you need a written consent of the father to take the child into the UK, unless you hubby residing illegally in the UK, you have nothing to fear. You should be more worried about your current circumstance in Nigeria, and if it is strong enough for the ECO not to assumed a immigration intent on your part. Either way, you choose to visit your uncle or your hubby, is your circumstances in Nigeria that matters and will be considered by the ECO

Thank you so much for your quick response

Firstly to answer your question I did not over stay wen I had my baby I did not spend up to 6 months on my 2 years visa

Secondly my hubby already has his stay permit and he is not illegal he got his stay last year and yes he would be writing a consent letter to bring his child to London

Thirdly my circumstances in Nigeria is that I claimed I m a student running my masters degree.... I hope its strong enough or what other thing can I add? ..... I m not working yet

Please I just want to know my fate if I disclose that my hubby resides in d UK. I m just a bit scared this time around and I don't have anyone to advice me.

Please I want to know my chances......

And I also want to know the things/documents I would need to submit. Please kindly guide me....

I will appreciate it so much.

Hello please I need a candid advice on this matter.

I am planning to go back to the UK with my child to meet her father who resides in the UK and has also gotten his permit. But I don't know how to go about it.

I have been traveling to the UK since 2011 as a student my Uncle(a British citizen) has been inviting me but I have been visiting my hubby too. The last time I went to UK was 2014 and i came back 2015 and I went to put to bed I was told to pay for the bills which I just finished paying.

Now I want to go back with my child, I have changed my name on my passport as married to my hubby name who has also gotten his permit but my cousin still wants to invite me as usual, my child has a UK BC I have finished paying the NHS bills.

My question is
Do I need to disclose in my application that my hubby lives in the UK and I will also be visiting him during my stay or I should say he resides in Nigeria?

Meanwhile his address and that of my Uncle are both on my Child's BC

If I claim he resides in Nigeria I hope its not going to affect me wen he wants to apply for stay permit for me and my child

And if I claim he resides in the UK will they need his passport data page to know his status in the UK and won't they assume that I may not want to come back to 9ja and then refuse my visa.

And also my hubby doesn't want to be the one to invite us now due to long time response by home office.... He just wants a faster way since I have been traveling to d UK before. The application takes too long and a bit expensive especially for 2 people....

Please kindly advice me on what to do. I will be filling the application form anytime soon.

Thanks

Hello Guyz,

Please i have a question to ask, with this new BVN/National ID card linking thing that is going on presently. Please do you guyz think that this BVN will not be linked to international passport in anyway.

Could BVN be linked to international Passport in any way?

What are your views about this.

Thanks for your suggestions.

To answer you, is your intended new application for a spouse visa or visit visa?

When you travelled in 2014 though on an invite from your uncle, did you mention your husband's name as family in the UK?

Ordinarily your debt is not written off as your identity remains unchanged. If you apply to visit, home office would contact the NHS to make enquiry as to whether you made use of NHS services during your last visit and whether you owe.

In fact, you should be aware that NHS would have already submitted your debt information to the Home Office. If you attempt to apply now it would flag up. However you should make your findings. There could be a repayment plan for you. Find below the link to the Govt website containing relevant information...

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/507694/Overseas_chargeable_patients_2016.pdf

Also, find below screenshots that could aid you on the go.

Thanks so much for your prompt response i really appreciate your response.

As to answers to your questions

The intended new application my hubby is planning to apply for is an indefinite stay to live in the UK maybe it is also called the "SPOUSE VISA"

To your Second Question: I have been traveling to the UK before 2014 and it has been an invite from my Uncle and i have never mentioned my husbands name in any of my documents or applications. In fact i am still using my median name i have not changed my name to my husbands name on my passport but which i intend to do soon since my passport has expired.

And then i did not make any arrangement with the NHS as to when and how i will be paying my bills (that is another aspect i am scared of) i just tried to make part payment of £1000 within a month of getting the invoice.

I hope even after making the payment my hubby will still be able to apply for me and the baby and our applications will not be denied?

THANKS.

Hello,

Please i need an advice on this situation.

i traveled to UK 2014 to put to bed i went with a 2years visiting Visa. Though my Hubby resides in the UK but as at then he had a dependent visa of 5years (i got the invite from my Uncle who is already a citizen). I was billed £7,000 for delivery and Antenatal as an international visitor but i was able to pay £1000 from the bill before i left UK and i made sure i did'nt spend up to 6months before coming back to Nigeria.

Now, early this year my Husband was given his residence permit and he is planing to apply for me and our child but the outstanding bills is still an issue that is pulling us back from applying. I have not traveled back to UK since i got back 2015, because i have not still completed the payment of the hospital bill (though i have paid another £1000).

My question now is this.
Do i still need to complete the outstanding payment?
Can my husband now claim that i am his wife and it was his baby i had and transfer the outstanding bills on him and make him pay the money?
Can he still apply for me and his child under this condition?
What is the likely chance of me and the baby getting our own stay visa if we do not make the payment and if we make the payment?

Please i would really appreciate it if i can get an answer to these questions or possibly refer me to a good lawyer for advice or refer me to UK online immigration question and answer site (if there is)

Thanks
