Technology Market / Re: Klasha Withdrawal Portal Now Open!!? by SweetSpirit: 5:27pm On Apr 05
Are you sure you withdrew
I've been checking back to back since the announced, but the only response I get is "Withdrawal starts from 11am daily."
First, I thought the 11am isn't Nigerian time, then I kept checking every hour (24 times) and it kept giving the same response.
Klasha is not a sincere app. They are definitely hiding something!
Business / Re: Name Search Is Free, So Why Are Nigerian Banks Charging 5000 Naira For It? by SweetSpirit: 10:38am On Mar 07
DadojoReloaded:
I went to inquire about opening a new corporate account in a branch of FCMB, I was told all the requirements needed to open a corporate account, which I was already aware of (as this is my second corporate account opening). However, what I was not comfortable with was the fact that I was asked to pay 10,000 naira to facilitate the account opening (I knew this was the standard though). So I decided to ask what the money was meant for, and the customer care agent listed some things which included CAC name search.

The name search according to her was going to cost 4,000 naira. I almost challenged her, but as a gentle man, I just smiled and promised to be back.

So, my question is: Why on earth should customers be charged 4k to conduct a company name search/verification when that information can be freely gotten from CAC's website? This feature has been available on CAC's site for at least a year now.

Are banks deliberately exploiting their clients to extort money for what they can freely verify?

It is just like asking clients to pay in order to verify their drivers license from FRSC's website.

Here is the URL to check if a company is truly registered with CAC.

http://.gov.ng:8080/comsearch/test.php

Company Name Search

lalasticlala, can you help me get answers please.

I just received a call from Access Bank that I should fund my new corporate account, and I sent N500. The lady called me bank and said it's not enough. I said it's not enough for what? I thought you wanted me to fund the account because it's new? She then opened up to me and said they needed at least 10k in the account for 'CAC search' on the company. I was angry and I hung up the phone. I did a Google search and I found this post on Nairaland. This is very pathetic. Banks have created various 'legal' means along with the CBN to exploit Nigerians. God save this country!

I am looking to start a clothing line in Nigeria ad was wondering if there are good local tailors and seamstresses to make my designs perfectly like it was made abroad. I intend to buy the finishing and sewing machines needed to ensure the perfection.

How can one get very good tailors and seamstresses in Nigeria, or are tailors brought in from neighboring countries. Please help me I am not in nIgeria and am not Nigerian either. All of you input will be appreciated.

Good morning guys, please I really need help. I lost my phone and didn't bother going through my mails cos it hasn't been easy trying to retrieve. I finally logged in last night and saw the mail to upload documents but the deadline was 14th. I seriously don't know what to do. I really need advise on how to contact them or something. Responses will be very much appreciated. shocked sad

I was almost in this same predicament as I had given up on this whole NCDMB job hunt since the first batch got their e-mails - I never knew mails were being sent in batches.
But as God would have it, I was in church last Sunday (14th of March) and the spirit of God told me to check my email (very unusual thing to do during church service) but I obeyed. I scrolled my inbox till the 8th of March and, eureka! There was the mail!
I quickly rushed home after service, opened my laptop and submitted my documents.
I know some of you might criticize this or even winsk at this but I say this with all sincerity and God is my witness: MY JOURNEY THIS FAR IN THIS NCDMB JOB IS NOTHING BUT A MIRACLE.
I hardly applied for jobs (as I have my own thriving business) but I stumbled on the O&G website in June last year and I applied. All of a sudden, I got a mail for the test in November, wrote the first round. Then got another mail in January 2021 and I wrote.
In a nutshell, I can say to anyone who cares to believe: God who has brought us this far will give us this job to the glory of His holy name.
@illocution, don't give up. God's still got some miracles.

This was the message I got and I went there. This was what happened

The lady said we should reject being paid a million naira at the end of the month, the office was looking unkept,no fan,the staff looking like poverty itself,we did aptitude test first, then how to be successful by a guy, then he told us to welcome the CEO,we were expecting face to face interview only for her to start with an angry voice, she was rude, she spoke to us for 3 hours+,last last she told us to pay 17k,she said I will make this easier for you,if you are interested stand up,I didn't but I was saying in my mind you want to miss 1million+ in a month,we that didn't stand up were told to leave, thank God I left and didn't fall into their trap. Beware of going for interview you didn't apply for, though I googled it and it was legit,I thought it was a HR firm because it was written on their website.

I am currently in Benin and I got a similar message asking me to attend interview in Lagos by 9am tomorrow. Thank God I looked it up on Nairaland.
