You should charge him good money Social Media Management and SEO is a big business in developed countries.to manage a top business organization via social media is not an easy task the way you are taking it.why you will be asked to manage to social media is to drive traffic to their website and sales not just to manage their company's presence on social media.hope you are getting my drift? however,you need to look at the company's earnings and profile to come up with a plan how you gonna drive traffic to the website and sales to the company that is the determinant factor for charges you will place on the compay/management. No dull yourself that is good business

My advice is for you to team up with a trusted friend that is a web developer and vast in .Net in the course of developing the platform you will be learning as well from him/her.though it all depends on the time frame you gave your client,to me it is not wise to jettison your client job because you want to learn .Net if you want to learn it why not complete the job then you can do that later.i guess you have already know what the project is all about you look a friend that is good in that field and work with him you can as well be learning.
Let someone be part of your new found Goldmine,if it were in developed countries the person that thejob is given to will look for someone that is good and contract it to him/her since he is not good in that field but in Nigeria case the person will either convince the client to implement the technology he understands.The man has a reason that he wants .Net for him to take such decision he had already made his survey.

probably the .zip file you are downloading is not the actual source code or your winrar is either corrupted you have to attach the file here let someone download it and check out the problem.you might be downloading and extracting it wrongly

start to desigb web pages for practise and testing it on local server or get a domain name and host it then whatever website you have design upload it there.whenever you have uploaded a website come here for appraisal then get back to the website for correction.
what i did yrs back was to host a domain name whenever i design a website i will upload it there for testing and submit to nairaland for appraisal..

What folder are you trying to download?are you sure the file you downloaded has not been corrupted? there are times you download files and tends to unzip them it will display empty files.

can you provide the php files here let me go through it and test myself? hope the files are not write protected
