I didn't watch the match, but the fact that his performance is being debated here suggests that his game was not far from below-par.

Onyedika, the confidenc I used to have in him reduced by 50% after that Morocco match. Maybe that dude has confidence issues.

I'm watching the full match now and I must say Onyedika just doesn't cut it for me, he struggled to keep possession and most of his passes were back or stray passes, Onyeka worked double by cleaning up most of his mistakes. Ndidi and Iwobi came on and significantly improved our midfield play...I'm not saying he's a bad player by any stretch, but Chelle needs to know what he's doing and have a comprehensive scouting for the players that can improve that midfield. The likes of Ugochukwu, Gibson Yah, Nnadi, Akinsamiro, Dennis and Femi Azeez must be permanently integrated into that aging midfield already

So like play like play, we've allowed the crimes of the NFF to just slide like that without anyone of them being held accountable? I thought the height of it would come from the rubbish petition of lies they claimed to have filed to CAS...Eguavoen still has a job, the donkey who calls himself NFF president has not even issued a statement explaining to Nigeria how a simple petition was botched?

Oga we need balance. I dont mind having 90 year old Osimhen as long as we have 18,19,20,21 year olds YNs doing the heavy lifting for him. Right now our Super Eagles are are basically in the same generation. They will all start aging at the same time. By 2030 Most of them will be either 30 or pushing 30 and that will be a time bomb waiting to explode. That's why i keep saying this cycle of Youth football is crucial for Nigeria. The next U17s, U20s, and Olympics will determine our fate. If we mess up like we have been doing since Pinnic and Gausau took over we may not qualify for another World Cup in 20 years.

To be fair we were significantly the better team and conceded 2 silly goals (Ogbu and Fernandez were okay but it's clear they haven't formed a defensive chemistry yet), with a largely experimental backline and nothing to play for, the players clearly played easy to avoid injuries (club football will resume soon before the world cup starts).

DRC has to make it to the world cup. Of all the African sides going to the world cup, DRC has the best squad after Senegal and Morocco. I love that team and they play their hearts out. I want them to decimate Jamaica today.

Famous Umole is an academy player who featured for Nigeria at the last Wafu B U17 qualifiers. He scored against Burkina faso and I dont know how he made it to Turkey.

Most of you might not know this, but there was a young kid named Famous Umole (I believe he is 17 yrs old) on the bench today vs Iran, he must have been called up as a late replacement (not sure if he was an NFF or Chelle call up) but he's supposed to be an exciting prospect from our youth system. Does anyone know anything about this kid?

We had absolutely no business not beating Zimbabwe (Uzoho mistake or not), when you fail to beat a team you should be routinely beating in over 90+ minutes of football, then you're absolutely shit.
