PDPGuy: You can bet your top $$ that there would immense pressure from UEFA and/or FIFA World Cup sponsors to have Italy as the replacement team Another Asian team is supposed to replace Iran in the event of them pulling out, but we know FIFA politics will probably give the slot to Italy...isn't that bald headed crook Gianni Infantino of Italian descent? |

MetalJigsaw: I didn't watch the match, but the fact that his performance is being debated here suggests that his game was not far from below-par.
Onyedika, the confidenc I used to have in him reduced by 50% after that Morocco match. Maybe that dude has confidence issues.
By the way I hope you're not comparing him to Ndidi and Iwobi, those guys have proved themselves long ago. But Onyedika still has much to prove, lets be honest.
He's quality no doubt, but under pressure he seems to go AWOL. I'm watching the full match now and I must say Onyedika just doesn't cut it for me, he struggled to keep possession and most of his passes were back or stray passes, Onyeka worked double by cleaning up most of his mistakes. Ndidi and Iwobi came on and significantly improved our midfield play...I'm not saying he's a bad player by any stretch, but Chelle needs to know what he's doing and have a comprehensive scouting for the players that can improve that midfield. The likes of Ugochukwu, Gibson Yah, Nnadi, Akinsamiro, Dennis and Femi Azeez must be permanently integrated into that aging midfield already |

So like play like play, we've allowed the crimes of the NFF to just slide like that without anyone of them being held accountable? I thought the height of it would come from the rubbish petition of lies they claimed to have filed to CAS...Eguavoen still has a job, the donkey who calls himself NFF president has not even issued a statement explaining to Nigeria how a simple petition was botched?
No wahala sha. |

Predator87: Oga we need balance. I dont mind having 90 year old Osimhen as long as we have 18,19,20,21 year olds YNs doing the heavy lifting for him. Right now our Super Eagles are are basically in the same generation. They will all start aging at the same time. By 2030 Most of them will be either 30 or pushing 30 and that will be a time bomb waiting to explode. That's why i keep saying this cycle of Youth football is crucial for Nigeria. The next U17s, U20s, and Olympics will determine our fate. If we mess up like we have been doing since Pinnic and Gausau took over we may not qualify for another World Cup in 20 years. Someone finally said it best. |

TheSuperNerd: 18 y/o and 21 y/o youngsters for Bosnia sent Donarumma to Market during the Penalties shoot out. Ice cold young ballers. One at PSV (21 y_o Bajraktarevic) and another at RB Salzburg (18 y_o Alajbegovic). They handled the pressure with immense composure.
If you are good enough, you are old enough. We have an aging team and no plans by the utterly worthless NFF donkeys to start grooming our youth talent pool, I hate our garbage we are on getting basic things done right. |

MetalJigsaw: Ordinary Jordan we no fit beat. Same reason why we no qualify for World Cup. Conceding late goals against inferior teams.
I been think say this rubbish don end self.
And Iwobi succumbing to the arabs trap. Nonsense To be fair we were significantly the better team and conceded 2 silly goals (Ogbu and Fernandez were okay but it's clear they haven't formed a defensive chemistry yet), with a largely experimental backline and nothing to play for, the players clearly played easy to avoid injuries (club football will resume soon before the world cup starts). |

UncleHaba22: I feel like DR is better than Jamaica
One African team people are sleeping on is Cape Verde Those people have convinced their Portuguese players to switch allegiance to cape Verde Good players that plays week in week out in Europe I'll be supporting Cape Verde at the tournament, they are the only African team my spirit resonates with right now. I always fancy a Cinderella story for smaller nations doing big things. |

Is this the Football the Ghana FA Boss was referring to? Haram ball? Germany isn't that good these days, maybe it's a coaching issue but they aren't a world cup winning team...a team like Senegal will easily beat this German team. |

Most of you might not know this, but there was a young kid named Famous Umole (I believe he is 17 yrs old) on the bench today vs Iran, he must have been called up as a late replacement (not sure if he was an NFF or Chelle call up) but he's supposed to be an exciting prospect from our youth system. NFF have really done us dirty walahi, if Nigeria wasn't a nation that allows mediocrity slide so easily.. there should be dire consequences by now, heads should be rolling in that criminal organization parading itself as a football association. I can't for the life of me understand how these idiots botched a simple petition to CAS! see how a whole football generation of really good players are being wasted because Nigeria just can't get the basic things done properly.
Omo I just tire abeg, make I jejely support one small African country making it's world cup debut, Nigeria won't deny me the happiness of world cup football because of blind patriotism. |
