Honestly...when are we going to ever have a player as exciting as Diomande in the SE? watching Diomande today against Barcelona just made me jealous with admiration at how blessed Ivory Coast are, we are far off in quality compared to teams like Morocco, CIV, and Senegal right now. Even teams like DRC with their all-out recruitment of their dual nationals are soon going to overtake us.

Lol see how poor Enugu Rangers are, a sad reflection on the abject quality of our league in general...in 2026 Nigerian clubs still can't do the basics like trapping a ball and stringing 5 passes together. Honestly anybody who calls him/herself a true fan of Nigerian football and still advocates for the NPFL to be used as a foundation to build around the Super Eagles deserves to be beaten by a mob, such a person truly hates us.

We just need to scrap the whole NPFL structure, privatize the league so private investors can buy out these clubs and remove state-owned control completely, we should also make the payment of players more attractive so that we can attract foreign exports from more organized leagues across Nigeria to come play in our clubs, that way it makes the homegrown players more competitive.

Well, maybe I just have a whole different expectation and standard for my ideal DM, cause my modern profile of a complete DM (as opposed to the old and limited role of just simply breaking up play) is the DM who aside from being a destroyer can also initiate attacks (which Ndidi struggled badly at), can pass well and build up play from the back during any phase of possession (which Ndidi definitely can't do), can shoot ( Ndidi used to be good at that but is abysmal now), and also contributes fairly to goals.

Ndidi is far from any of those qualities I mentioned, and even the destroyer role we are trying to manage sef, he now struggles at doing that (age factor).

We have seen Nathan Tella in the GWG. He struggles like his leverkusen teammate, Boniface. Also looks lightweight and easily bullied off the ball when he played for us.

How many games did he really play in the GWG though? his last real game in the NT was seems like a case of hastily discarding a player.

Midfield options dey...it's now up to Chelle to grow some balls and retire Ndidi from the team... Even in his prime, Ndidi never really clicked for the SE, so I don't see how he will do better now that he is approaching the twilight of his career.. the last AFCON was probably the best outing he ever had for the super Eagles...

Yeah Ndidi has never been a spectacular player for Nigeria, I can remember midfield generals who bossed it for Nigeria from years past and Ndidi is easily one forgettable player, even in his prime years at Leicester when he was one of the best DMs around, he never really stood out in national colors, just some decent games here and there.

Nathan Tella playing well for Leverkusen. If I don't see this boy in that November squad I will start calling out Eric Chelle. Nathan Tella is significantly better than Moses Simon. This boy should a lock in the SE when healthy. Enough of this nonsense. We have a player at Leverkusen prior to his injury was playing the best football of his carear. He is now back from injury and is balling. This boy should be an absolute lock on that squad when healthy.

My only issue with Tella is that he never seems to stay injury-free whenever international break approaches, otherwise there's no reason the lad isn't getting a full chance in the NT, I'm tired of seeing Moses Simon already.

I just felt something was off with Lookman when he was with his father at the Uyo camp and seemed distant and cold around his dad and teammates, I just hope he sorts his head out.
