Beckysexy:What are the few good tracks ? ![]() |
Davash222:If you are really a lover of good music , you will understand that good music is subjective and the general criteria in line with world standards that actually term any music good is 1) Relatability 2) Listeners Mood 3) Taste ( Genre) 4) Content ( encompassing production, lyrics, vocals etc ) Your statement that I should stick to fuji music shows your view that fuji is noise and doesn't qualify as good music , which to me is hilarious . |

After he doused the appetite of his core fans with the Soundman Ep Volume One released on the 6th day of December 2019 , Wizkid continually teased music listeners around the world with speculated dates of his album release through interviews, tweets and all. After several delays and postponements running into years , consistent hype from industry insiders/friends and several speculations as to featured Artistes and producers , Nigerian Pop Star, Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid dropped his highly anticipated Album " Made in Lagos " on the 29th of October , 2020. Perhaps one of the most anticipated albums of the year , Wizkid has referred to the " Made in Lagos" album as the best he ever made. In this review, we examine Wizkid's Claim and see if " Made in Lagos " was ever really worth the hype . Producers : P2j, Juls, Mut4y, Blackjerzee,London,Sarz, KelP Features:. Damian marley, Tems, Terri, Burna boy, Tay iwar, Ella mai, Skepta, Projexx, H.E.R Song Writers - P2j,KelP, Engineers - Colin Leonard, Leandro Hidalgo, Genre - Afrobeats, , RnB, Runtime - 52 minutes Tracks - 14 Label - Starboy Entertainment Ltd/RCA 1) RECKLESS " Dem hin na na na na, I know say dem go pray on my downfall". The album opens on a very good note with this beautiful track . The first few seconds of the song will get listeners nodding their heads and feeling the groove . Wiz is at ease as he flows seamlessly on the track talking about God's blessings , his struggle in life and his keen interest in treating his woman right . " I no day give a man more than what he deserves , cos them still day bite the hand wey dey feed them" , Wiz says as he goes philosophical on this joint . Big ups to P2J for cooking up the fantastic beat. The saxophone and Wizkid's " yoruba" outro is also ingenious . Listening to this first track sets listeners in the mood for a lyrics filled album as the songwriting on this joint is indeed commendable. 2) GINGER FT BURNA BOY - Machala and Odogwu as they are fondly called by Fans linked up for their third official track together after " Jah love is True" off Burna's first album " LIFE" and " Single " off his second album " On A Spaceship". The track is refreshing and doesn't fall short of what one would expect from a collabo between two very talented musicians. The duo admonish the Listeners to " Ginger" Up and stop acting like a " bolo" ( A Nigerian lingua for a dull person) while of course paying homage to the sweet Nigerian jollof too . The arrangement and chemistry between Starboy and African Giant is pleasing to the ears as they confidently switch flows and deliver effectively on the hook . Burna boy on the Outro shows why Damini Ogulu has bragging rights as one of Africa's Finest musician ever. Excellent production from P2J too. 3) LONGTIME FT SKEPTA The third track features Skepta . The duo previously created the smash hit " Bad Energy " off Skepta's Project. Little wonder the track feels like Bad Energy Part 2 . From the beat, to Skepta's verse and delivery . Wizkid takes on the topic of women and whining on the track and managed to pull a good verse on the joint . This feature could have been way way better. 4) MIGHTY WINE Perhaps the grooviest track on Made in Lagos . Wizkid gives us a bit of the Wizkid we heard on the Mastercraft Produced " Odoo ". A track for the ladies to whine and dance . Wizkid is in his vibes mode on this Afrobeats/Carribean influenced P2J and Kel P produced joint and effortlessly weaves between the beat like Nigerian politicians find their way out of corruption Cases. Solid Bop . 5) BLESSED FEAT DAMIAN MARLEY " Cold Mineral , Cold Pure Water " . . The welcoming saxophone is so smooth and ushers in the powerful voice of Jamaican Superstar, Damian Marley who comes through with a brilliant hook and orgasm inducing verse. The track is also the track with the most quotable lines and the strongest message ( of thankfulness to God ) on the album. The songwriting on the joint is also very impressive likewise the chemistry of the artistes and the brilliant soothing beat . ", I might be rough around the edges baby yes ", I keep it nappy and do what makes me happy , and nobody can deny that I am blessed ". The song is indeed a gbedu all and sundry can Jam. Wiz last 5 seconds of outro on the track is however highly unnecessary and doesn't fit into the theme of the song . 6) SMILE FT H.E.R - Beautiful song with a powerful message . The Reggae influenced P2J produced track featuring H.E.R was one of the singles released before the album . A track signifying happiness and encouraging positivity , it was perfectly arranged to come after " Blessed ". The H.E.R feature is just perfect for the track .Wizkid's Song writing on this track can once again be commended especially his second verse where he comes through heavily . Wiz also flexs his vocal power and versatility on this track as he switches between RnB and Reggae flow . Good music , Good video . A hit . 7) PIECE OF ME FT ELLA MAI - Mekwe Music . The beautiful production is once again noticed . Production on Made in Lagos so far has been top notch . With lines like " Hop on my bed day do like rocky o , meet me for lobby o, I know nobody can satisfy ya like me ", it's evident Wizkid has made the perfect baby making track . Wiz and Ella Mai sings and plead with their lovers to come and get a piece of them . This one is for the sex playlists and romantic adventures. Wahala for who single . 8 ) NO STRESS Wizkid sings with no stress on No stress . Machala is still on the topic of satisfying his woman , a topic which is repeatedly seen across the album. No stress comes across as a track to vibe to with wine , in the jacuzzi or while taking a cruise with a lambo feeling rich and fulfilled . Wizkid maintains the calm demeanor which the album started with and is surely enjoying himself as he sings " I got a pretty lady way no like no stress" while casually talking about other activities like sex . A brilliant joint. 9) TRUE LOVE FT TAY IWAR & PROJEXX True love is one of the most brilliant tracks Wizkid has ever made . Juls serves us a refreshingly tasteful beat which Tay iwar (who was on the hook) ate mercilessly. Wiz and Tay iwar sings about missing the love of their life and experiencing a pure and true love whenever they are with them . Projexx verse is also very beautiful . Showcasing elements of Afrobeats , reggae and rnB, true love is one of the stand out tracks on Made in Lagos that has the potential to be a Mega hit if wiz decides to put on his promotion hats this time around . 10 ) SWEET ONE The tracks begin to sound similar here . Sweet one seems to have the same progression and vibe as Piece of me . Wizkid is fully on his Afrobeats mode on this track . He begs his lady to whine her waist till the morning . The track sounds like a mixture of a couple of other tracks on the album . Decent joint . 11). ESSENCE FT TEMS A bad feature with Tems ? I doubt .Tems comes through fully on this track and sings about how time is of " essence" and how her lover needs no other body but her . Wiz corroborates this claim and woes the lover with his lines appreciating her beauty and body while letting her know she needs only him too. The chemistry on the track is also highly commendable likewise production . A Bop 12) ROMA FT TERRI Finally , something for the clubs . Wiz brings on Starboy Entertainment artiste, Terri on this Blaq jerzee produced bop and the two artiste deliver heavily on the track . " Gbedu go drop, say Erima go dance o ", Terri really steps up his game on the joint and almost outshines wiz on his own track. 13) GYRATE On Gyrate , Wiz just cruises through the beat. Wiz urges his people to Gyrate and enjoy life on the london produced track . Wiz is fully laid back on the joint as he makes this brownies taking and getting high track . 14) GRACE - A track titled "Grace" would of course sound perfect for The last track on this album . On this track , Wizkid thanks for the Grace upon his life and declares no one can run his race. Not a bad track for an outro . CONCLUSION One thing about the Made in Lagos album is the fact that Wizkid has improved or decided to put more efforts into songwriting and delivering better lyrics .When singles like " Joro" and " Ghetto youth " were released , a lot of music lovers already predicted an album with subpar lyrics but Made in Lagos proved to be very satisfactory in terms of lyrical input . Despite being for the most part a " vibes " album , wizkid perhaps aware of the market the album is made for and knowing their intolerance for mediocrity ,deliberately invests time in creating very decent lyrics rather than repetitive lines and gibberish which he fed the local scene for a while now. While there's improvement in lyrics and songwriting , Wiz however needs to be more cohesive on tracks , switching lines from talking about God's blessings on track titled "blessed" to talking about doing marathon sex with a lady on the track " is just not it for an artiste of Wiz calibre. . Production , mixing and mastering are on Made In Lagos = World class. Big shout out to P2J who produced most of the tracks on the album . While the use of saxophone was quite excessive and unnecessary on some tracks , the general production range and quality on the album is very very satisfactory. I wonder what a few Northboii productions would have done in terms of the production quality on the album as the fight between himself and Wiz might have led to his creative absence from Made in Lagos. The track arrangement deserves some praise likewise the featured Artistes. Every single artiste featured on Made in Lagos came correct, perhaps bearing in mind the song is ending up on the project of one of the biggest artistes to ever come out of Africa. All guest Artistes blended on their joints smoothly like hot knife through butter. Versatility might not really be termed an issue on the album as wiz switches from Pure Afrobeats , to reggae , afropop and then RnB. Regardless, the similar tempo on beats and non versatile use of the saxophone makes the album a bit monotous at some point. There is no track that actually beams up your energy at any point save maybe " Roma" . Little wonder a lot of people termed the album " Elites , Highness and Baby Making music ". The album also lacks " Shock Value " . There is no song on the album that one can say" oh wow, I never knew Wiz could do that ". Nothing really out of Wizkid's comfort zone as wizkid is fully at ease on the album and like the title of one of the songs goes , Wiz wants " No stress". It must however be stated that there's really no bad song on the album though the last two tracks " Gyrate" and " Grace" come across as Album fillers . The Branding for "Made in Lagos" is also something to talk about . For an album mainly created for the international market with really slower tempos and vibes not popular among locals in the city of Lagos , the made in Lagos branding would have been more efficient for his first album " Superstar" while the super star title would have being perfect for this new album . The only major reference to Lagos was the " cold Mineral, Cold Pure water " line in Blessed . However , this can be overlooked as the videos from the album can still do a lot to cover the " Made in Lagos " theme as can be seen from the SMILE video where amala, suya and owambe mamas ,( three things typical of the everyday lifestyle in Lagos ) were depicted. . Reminiscent of the Sound Man Ep and Sounds from the Other Side , Made in Lagos is an album with very very good songs but no potential " African lamba" type of monster hit . Like the two previous projects , Wiz has evolved into laid back Afro beats and Carribean influenced musical productions , a side totally different from the " Iyeyeye" Pop and Afropop wiz that came into the scene around 2011. Wizkid has reached a comfort zone where he just wants to make music in line with his creative thoughts . He is under not much pressure to fine-tune his outputs to please anyone and this is what happens on Made in Lagos . We see a more deliberate , more calculated and grown Wiz being at his utmost creative freedom and doing what he truly loves. Wiz has perhaps created the template the new kids will follow in the next three to four years as he deviates from the norm once again . One can only hope wiz shoots more videos off the project and takes the promotion of the album serious . While we await the Deluxe version , Made in Lagos proved yet again that Wizkid is one of Africa's biggest music export and sure is not going down anytime soon . Rating - 7/10

Barely a Year after releasing his highly successful sophomore album " A Good Time " which amassed over a billion streams worldwide, Nigerian Music Star and DMW helmsman David Adeleke popularly known as Davido released his third studio album " A Better Time" on the 13th November , 2020. In the following year after his " A Good Time" album which saw the birth of his first son , ifeanyi who is also the cover of the album , the recovery of his fiancee Chioma from the Covid- 19 virus amidst breakup rumours, constant criticism that his survival in the music industry is because of his wealth, a newly found beef with erstwhile friend and Grammy nominee , Burna Boy and continued rivalry with self acclaimed Starboy Wizkid , Davido announced his third studio album " A Better Time " would drop in October 2020. A month after , Davido drops the highly anticipated Album and here's our review of the Afro beats, RnB and Hip hop themed Project . Producers: NapjiDmw, Magicboi, Chillz, Eljack, Dante,Semzibeatz, FreshVDM, Isaac MasterDon, Kiddominant , Speroachbeatz, Ckay, Blaisebeatz, Papamitrou, Xander,Hit boy, Fresh, Lord Sky Features: Lil baby, Sauti Sol, Bella Shmurda, Mayorkun, Sho Madjozi, Nas, Hit boy, Ckay, Mugeez, Tiwa Savage, Chris brown, Young thug, Nicki minaj Song Writers - Deinde , Peruzzi, Wale Kwame, MayD, Toye, Kiddominant, Engineers - STG, Dremo, Joshua Harbin, Genre - Afrobeats, House Music , RnB, Hip hop, Pop Runtime - 55 minutes Tracks - 17 Label - Davido Music Worldwide/RCA/Sony Music Entertainment UK limited 1) FEM The album opens on a high note with the napji produced " FEM" which means " Shut Up". The track housed subliminal shots at Burna boy with lines like " Tell Odogwu say we like to party" , Just Call Me" while also warning other haters to be careful and stop hating on his grind/success. The hook is very catchy with a sing along vibe and was propelled to greater heights by the EndSars protest when it became the unofficial protest song in the country at the time . Completed with a delightful surprise performance at the Big brother finale and a colorful music video from DammyTwitch, FEM became A Better Time 's First hit track. 2) JOWO On Jowo, Davido returns to the Career Saving Pon Pon style which he employed on songs like " IF" and "FALL" . He pleads with his lover to please stay with him and marry him. Davido delivers good lyrics and an impressive vocal delivery on the track . A song for the romantic ones and also a potential hit .One of the album's strongest joints . 3) SOMETHING FISHY Something Fishy reminds me of " Return " off Davido's " Son of Mercy" Ep and Adekunle Gold's Hit single " Jore" featuring Kizz daniel. The owambe vibe of the song is laudable and Davido once again brings his A game on . The producer Chillz also did a very impressive job on the track . Straight banger !! " Wait , something Fishy going down " ✨✨. 4) HOLY GROUND FEAT NICKI MINAJ When I heard that there was a song with Nicki minaj on the album , I was like wow , massive . And then came " Holy Ground ". There's something just really off about the track especially for a Nicki minaj feature . Perhaps the chemistry, maybe the hook , or just the funny lyrics . Holy ground is a track one would not likely put on repeat . 5) HEAVEN On the amapiano inspired "Heaven" produced by El jack , Davido promises to bring the heavenly feeling to his woman while also admonishing her beauty in comparison with an angel that came from heaven . The track is a feel good and sing along track with solid production .. one thing about the album so far is the quality music production and engineering . An effort Davido should be commended for. 6) VERY SPECIAL On the May D written " Very Special", Davido scores a wedding classic and something for the owambes . The beats , the lyrics and the delivery are really onpoint. It's really a song for the old and the young . One of the best songs on the album . " Mo kan ma sope " ✨ 7)THE BEST I think it's general consensus that having Mayorkun on a track translates almost certainly to having a hit. Mayorkun comes through with his witty lines and rhymes on the fresh produced beat . The Davido proteges clarifies who he learnt his craft from.and credits his boss " Davido" as the best while also affirming "nobody sing pass wandecoal" . The chemistry between the two on the track is really pleasant to the ears . A potential hit for the clubs and parties as the DMW Artistes brag about their status and talent in the industry . Solid bop !!! SHOPPING SPREE FT CHRIS BROWN & YOUNG THUGThis hip-hop joint with Chris brown and young thug surprisingly proves to be the Most artistically crafted and successful Davido's hip hop collaboration yet after the ill fated " Pere" feat Young thug and rae sremmurd. The three artistes came through with dope verses and swag as they talk about taking pretty girls on shopping spree on this bouncy hip-hop beat. Then Davido on the Hook , my jesus !!! Best Davido hook in a while . Shopping spree is an instant hit with a repeat value of 98 percent . 9) SUNLIGHT Another Romantic song on the album produced by DMW inhouse producer, Napji . Short and sweet . The chants are lovely Davido calls his pretty lady the sunlight in his life and appreciates all her beautiful features while promising never to lie to her . Napji the producer continues to prove he is a valuable addition to the DMW family with his stellar productions and Davido once again delivers for the ladies . 10) TANANA FT TIWA SAVAGE Davido decides to switch things up a bit and comes through with the galala/swo influenced " "Tanana". The Kiddominant produced track brings a refreshing feel to the album . Tiwa savage also delivers an excellent verse on the track . This one is for the reminiscing the good old galala days while also catching groove seriously at parties and gatherings . A retro styled video for the song would also be really nice . 11) MEBE FT MUGEEZ Davido connects with his fans from Ghana as he sings that his lady's body physique will make him to study physics". Better lyrics could have been employed by Davido on this joint but Mugeez came through with his verse . Not bad at all . 12) LALA FT CKAY This one is going to be a fan favourite . Right from the first listen . With a stellar production and excellent featured verse from Ckay , the amapiano/makossa joint will sure rock the Clubs and Anglophone countries. Davido is also at creative ease on the track and having maximum fun which made the track even more enjoyable . 13) SO CRAZY FT LIL BABY It is important to note that all the featured Artistes came through with their verse on A Better Time . So crazy is another track the Featured artiste , Lil Baby came fully prepared. On the track davido talks about his lover that is not giving him attention and driving him crazy . Mixed feelings about this track. Not bad , Not good, just there . 14) BIRTHDAY CAKE FT NAS , HIT BOY This was just a song that was not needed on the album . The style of the two Artistes do not fit. The lyrics from Davido are lazy and shows no attempt to accommodate and assist NAS . The track shouldn't have made the album . Skip. 15) I GOT A FRIEND FT MAYORKUN & SHO MADJOZI House music ✨✨✨. The trio of Mayorkun , Davido and south african artiste , sho Madjozi deliver this amapiano track as a tribute to the Davido's DMW friends like Lati , Tycoone, Prince,Asa Asika among others . Good production , vibes and verses. An actual Bop. 16) FADE FT BELLA SCHMURDA First, the beat by Speroachbeatz sounds so similar to a previous joint and really disjointed .The two Artistes struggled to achieve chemistry . What would have otherwise being a serious jam is harmed by the monotous and distorted beats . Davido did his best , Bella did his best and Speroachbeatz gave his worst . 17) ON MY WAY FT SAUTI SOL Can there ever be a bad Sauti SOL song . I doubt . This Davido and Sauti SOL song is the perfect outro for A Better Time .The Lord Sky production is a delight to the ears . Sauti sol beautiful lingua infusion gives the track an heavenly feel . Beautiful songwriting too. CONCLUSION While I still believe the " A Good Time " is solidly underated, I believe " A Better Time " will not suffer the same fate. On this album , we see a Davido that is trying to strike a balance between the international market and the local music scene in Africa . We also see a Davido that is very deliberate with his creative act and ensures he makes the songs people want and consequently , Potential hits . Excelling on tracks like " Jowo" , " Heaven", " The Best" , "On my way" Tanana", " Lala" and other songs obviously intended for African market , the bane of the album seems to be his resolve to break into the international market . Save the track with Chris brown and Young thug , all other international collabos on the album seems like a forced attempt to do something to please the international community . The highly forgettable " Holy Ground " with Nicki Minaj , the Manageable " So Crazy" with Lil baby and the track that should never have happened with NAS and Hitboy . For Someone who saw the effect of unnecessary international collabos and did a back to the basics campaign with songs like " IF " and "Fall" a few years back , it is suprising that Davido has still chosen to tow the path of unfavourable international collabos rather than stick to his beautiful creative process that is in conformity with his roots as an African. Production is very commendable as all producers came in their top form except for Speroachbeatz distasteful production on Fade featuring Bella Shmurda . Special shout out also to Napji DMW for his outstanding work . The Mixing , mastering and engineering on A Better Time is world class , Big kudos to Dremo and STG . The track arrangement could have been way better though to improve cohesion and flow. The versatility of the tracks must also be praised as songs switch from Afro RnB to House music to galala, Pon Pon and then Hip-hop Rap. The genuine attempt by Davido to create a diversely appealing album evident in features from Ghana and Eastern Africa as well as features from the international scene is commendable. The acknowledgment and use of songwriters on the project is also very important for the culture and Davido has done the right thing by employing the services of these people. The delivery of lyrics on the album is above average and the beautiful in Davido's vocal power and delivery shows he must have done a proper research and truly worked on his voice for this project. Truth be told, Davido really worked hard on the project . A Better time seems like an album made to prove a point and of course the point is well proven . One thing is sure , This album will birth hits in the country and also birth hits worldwide. Rating - 7/10

BEFORE YOU SPEND ALL YOUR NYSC SAVINGS: HOW TO MAKE UP TO 300K IN A MONTH WITHOUT REFERRALS "300 thousand naira in one month !!!" I exclaimed in disbelief as I listened to Grace Narrate this new money making venture to me . " I don't believe you " I reiterated. I was still very skeptical even after a detailed explanation was given to me on this venture from my colleague who is also one of the top ten law school graduates from the Nigerian law school 2018 set, Grace Kalu. Not until she opened her affiliate account and I saw her affiliate stats, and the sum of 300 thousand naira with my "korokoro" eyes sitting pretty in her account did I eventually believed it was not a bluff. And this was not one of those ponzi schemes or scam programmes . Grace was a corper as I also was. But, how was Grace able to make my yearly NYSC allowance in one month from this venture ? What type of venture is this ? How secure and reliable is it What is this venture all about ? These are some of the cogent questions that needs to be answered and clarified and I assure you that the needed answers and clarifications that will help you benefit from this opportunity will be adequately given. BUT FIRST THINGS FIRST, A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ☺️ After one year of serving your Fatherland, amidst all the odds, you have finally turned “gold” (ex-corper) and fully fit to enter into the unstable terrains of the Nigerian labour system. While you wave good bye to your mandatory national youth service , the joyful smile that beams on your face whenever the 33k federal government "allawee" enters your account would also cease to be there.. Even more scary is the thought of life after service . In this Nigeria ? A lot of youths are scared of the life that awaits them after their youth service, the whole process of job hunting and interviews or even getting jobs where they are overused and underpaid. Sad, isn't it ? The honest truth is that, this is quite understandable as it is the sad reality of a large number of the citizens of this country. " We all know as Nigeria be ". Is it the ever inconsistent uncles and aunties that promise youths jobs in oil and gas companies after service, or the deep corruption and embezzlement in our political system, or the lack of efficient labour structure amidst a plethora of other obstacles that besieges the average Niigerian youth from achieving financial independence. The fear of the Average Nigerian Youth is understandable, valid and acknowledged. Above all these, the centurial question(s) that begs for an answer is; i. Do we keep dwelling on and overthinking the situation while doing absolutely nothing till we fall below the standard of living and fall into poverty ? OR ii. Do we take our destiny into our own hands and forge our paths to financial independence and success inspite of the unfriendly environment by making calculated business moves and decisions ? GUESS WHAT? There’s no need to fall into depression. An end has come to all the sleepless nights that the lack of financial independence has caused . There is a guaranteed way to stay afloat and achieve that financial independence you crave so much for even right here in Nigeria without " japa-ing" anywhere. Whether as a full-time job depending on the duration you deem fit or as an additional source of income to supplement your 9-5 job or business, this venture is recognized by law and not in any way against the dictates of Nigerian laws, 100 percent efficient and highly practical. LET'S TALK ABOUT "YOU" There are some salient questions that you need to ask yourself and answer before you proceed: Are you tired of complaining about your finances? Do you want a legal means of income where you get paid for the work you do and you can go to bed at night sleeping heartily knowing you worked for your money? Do you want to make up to 300k every month while sitting from the comfort of your home? Do you want to make money regardless of your physical presence while you do other things? Do you have a phone or laptop and internet access? Are you willing and ready to work legally for your money If your answer to these questions is YES! , then this is definitely for you without any doubt. You are welcome to the world of financial freedom. One thing I very much like to say, anywhere and anytime is that: " Learning this secret and joining this venture has been one of the best decisions I have made so far in a very turbulent year 2020 packed with so many financially crippling socio-economic happenings " In just the space of two weeks, I made over 80k while Grace who introduced me to the platform had already made over 300k in a month of joining the venture . No money doubling, no referrals, no illegal activity, just applying stated principles , pure hard work and dedication. ENOUGH OF THE TALK Here goes all you need to know about how people like Grace Kalu made over 300k a month and I made over 80k in my first two weeks of joining in on this venture . Please take your time to listen, digest and if possible note everything stated in the video via the link below . You can afterwards, contact me for further information and clarifications that you may need to benefit from this great opportunity. https://expertnaire.com/72ip-b/ Your financial independence is in your hands, not your uncle, not your aunt, not your government nor your church or mosque, I repeat, your financial independence is in your hands. No shows. No Tours. No Live Concerts !!! The advent of the dreaded COVID-19 virus has made life difficult for most individuals all over the world and Artistes are not excluded. With the absence of music shows and other social events , one of the most basic source of income for artistes worldwide has been blocked .In order to stay afloat , artistes must think smart . Most recording artistes have deviced various ways to continue making money from their craft pending the time the COVID 19 issue is resolved and normalcy is returned . 1) Streaming - The Advent of streaming platforms like Tidal , Spotify ,Audiomack, and Apple Music represents a major step in the digitalization of music and advancement in the utilization of Intellectual Property Rights by artistes. For example, Tidal pays $12.50 dollars per 1000 streams . This is not a bad souce of income for artistes during this period and as such, artistes should endeavour to release new music and promote their music for fans across the world to stream on major music streaming platforms. 2) Virtual Shows - Artistes can utilize platforms like Instagram to organize live shows . Artistes like Davido and Asa appeared an Instagram virtual show sponsored by a music streaming platform in April 2020. They earned their performance fees from these shows . Artistes can also make use of pay per view platforms like Patreon to organize shows online for their fans. Artistes partnering with Brands to promote their Products to fans via their Instagram and Facebook live is also a very good source of revenue during this period . 3) Online Contests - This especially relates to independent artistes. Many online contests and challenges organized by various artistes are also ongoing during this period .Peruzzi's Cicinaati Contest in which the winner will be rewarded with a sum of 500 000 naira is a good example of online contests artistes can jump on during this period. Artistes should also look out for online contests on streaming platforms , Tv and radio stations in order to gain access to some income during this period. 4) YouTube Streaming- In conjunction with the streaming of audio materials , Artistes can make viral videos and visualizers to be uploaded on YouTube . The streaming of YouTube content is also a very effective way of generating some solid revenue for Artistes during this period . 5) Song Writing / Collaborations - Artistes can pitch their demos and unreleased songs to other Artistes or even make official offers to songwrite for fellow artistes . Songwriting songs is an effective way of generating income during this period for Artistes . Movie : Sugar Rush Genre : Comedy, Crime Director : Kayode Kasum Writers : Bunmi Ajakaiye, Jade Osiberu Running Time - 120 minutes Language : English , Yoruba, Ibo Release Date : 25 December ,2019 . After an impressive Run in the Nigeria music scene that produced and engineered the success of Artistes like Wizkid , Shaydee and Skales , Empire Mates Entertainment along side Jungle Filmworks and GreOH media decided to collaborate with writer and producer Jade Osiberu to produce the Comedy Movie and fourth highest grossing Nollywood movie of all time " Sugar Rush ". The story starts with the Sugar Sisters , the trio of Bimbo Ademoye ( Bola Sugar) , Bisola Aiyeola ( Sola Sugar) and Adesua Etomi Wellington ( Susie Sugar) being held up and tortured by an unknown boss lady who is later identified as Gina, daughter of Chief Douglas from whom the sisters stole a staggering sum of 800 thousand dollars ..She gives them a mission to steal the money back for her and she would spare their lives . In Summary, , the entire story revolves around the sum of 800 hundred thousand dollars stolen from Corrupt politician Chief Douglas Ikoyi house by Sola Sugar and Susie Sugar by a stroke of luck , , the hunt for the Sisters and the money by both the good and Bad Effc officals , the attempt of Sola Sugar Vagabond boyfriend, Andy to dissapear with the money and the climax at the final showdown to steal the money from one of the angerous politicians in the country ,Mr Anikulapo. Ghen Ghen Ghen, the movie is giving you the typical Hollywood vibe abi ? Eeyah , just wait . Strong Points Beautiful Cinematography .This is an aspect most Nollywood films have improved on in the last four years and Sugar Rush doesn't fall short in that aspect. The production and Other aspects of the movie like sound , visual effects and lightning are all excellent .Lateef Adedimeji plays a brilliant role as comical destitute who strikes gold at the end of the movie . His interpretation of the role of a Lagos based Ibo man is excellent . Other notable performances include Uzor Arukwe as knight ( he had to change his voice to be very " igbotic', and he did exceedingly well especially the scene he came to ask for the money from the Susie Sisters ) , William Uchemba as Obum ,Tobi Bakre as Andy and Adesua Etomi as Susie Sugar . The movie explores the theme of corruption and power and no doubts , passed the message well of the corrupt nature of our security agencies ( EFCC in this instance ) and the power play evident in Nigerian politics . Weak Points The inclusion of juju and the Matrix styled " bullet stopping " display By BankyW at the tail end of the movie in my opinion is totally unnecessary . If you looking for a solid storyline and brilliant diialogue , Sugar rush is not for you , it's mainly a fun movie with a lot of giggles and laughs.. The casting could have been way way better . Bimbo Ademoye ( Bola Sugar) essentially overexxagerated her character , BankyW could have done better likewise Toke Makinwa. The three of them gave below par Performances. Besides , who deleted the video of The Susie Sisters from the Efcc guy's laptop ? . Final Verdict For a movie in the comedy genre , Sugar Rush sure evokes laughter . Without much emphasis on dialogue and proper casting, ,Sugar rush takes the viewers on a fun ride with a sprinkle of politics, fiction and Crime . With an acceptable performance from the three major characters , Sugar Rushi is sure not a bad movie at all. Score : 6.5/10 .

A fun track . General Review Kizz Daniel over the years as proven to be one of the most talented artistes in the contemporary Nigerian music era. On this third album he sure lives up to expectations. The Album is up to standard as regards lyrical depth . Kizz Daniel ensures he gives meaningful lyrics and takes his time to deliver excellent songwriting on all the tracks on the album .There is hardly a track on the album without solid songwriting and delightful lyrics , a feat which deserves commendation in this era of " vibes " music . The tracklisting and track arrangement is also very amazing and ensures the Listener enjoys a wonderful time listening to the project as there is a seamless progression from track 1 to the very last track. For an album that features a couple of relatively unknown producers , the production , mixing and mastering on the album is world class .New producers like Teflon zino, Atg and One sound did amazing jobs on the album likewise Renowned producers like YoungJohn , frequent collaborator DJ Coublon , Majorbankz, Philzkeys and selebobo. Perhaps In a bid to be versatile and explore , Kizz employs the services of Krizbeats who produces five tracks off the album . The result on the album is an amazing chemistry that leads to five fire tracks and reinenforces the versatility of Kizz Daniel while also reminding one of his very amazing chemistry with DJ Coublon too. The album also lives up to its title " King of Love " as Kizz Daniel weaves his tracks around Love , Relationships , body positivity and Infidelity . It can be said that indeed Kizz stuck to the album title as the title resonates throughout the tracks on the project . One may however wonder If his approach not to do a no feature album again will recreate the success of his debut album " New Era" where he tried the same thing. Some of the tracks on the album sound similar and might have had a different and more powerful potential if certain Artistes were on the project . For his third studio album and second album under his label, Flyboy Inc, Kizz Daniel has performed amazingly Well and we wish him the very best as he continues to pride himself as the Artiste with No Bad Songs . A Solid 9/10 . Written by Iamsynord . He tweets via @iamsynord on Twitter and he is a freelance Entertainment writer and lawyer.
