The Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) has vehemently condemned the reprehensible attack on its National Secretary, Mr. Izunna Okafor, by officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Anambra State. The incident occurred last week as Okafor, a dedicated reporter with 247ureports.com, was returning from Nnewi after covering the Anambra South Rally of the Soludo Ambassadors.
A group of ten NSCDC officers reportedly assaulted Mr. Okafor, accusing the media of being a source of problems in Nigeria. It was only due to the intervention and pleas of fellow passengers that a potentially tragic situation was averted.

The SYNW commended the prompt response of the Anambra State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr. Edwin Osuala, for initiating a full-scale investigation into the matter. The SYNW urged the authorities to ensure a thorough and impartial inquiry, holding accountable anyone found guilty of wrongdoing in accordance with the law.
According to the statement, “Freedom of the press is a cornerstone of democracy, and any attack on journalists undermines this fundamental pillar of society.”
The SYNW therefore, called on relevant stakeholders, including human rights organizations, to join in condemning this assault and advocating for justice.

The SYNW called on the NSCDC and other security agencies to institute measures that will prevent a recurrence of such incidents, ensuring the safety of journalists and upholding the constitutional rights of citizens.
“The SYNW stands in solidarity with Mr. Izunna Okafor and all journalists who face threats and attacks in the course of their duty. The SYNW will closely monitor the investigation and collaborate with relevant organizations to ensure justice is served.” The statement ended.

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has extended its warm congratulations to Governor Ademola Adeleke on the occasion of his one-year anniversary in office. While acknowledging the governor's commendable initiatives and initial strides towards the development of the state, APGA deems it necessary to draw attention to the critical issues of widespread youth unemployment and the dire conditions faced by pensioners, many of whom are enduring abject poverty.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Party in the state, Wole Adedoyin, it was emphasized that while Governor Adeleke has demonstrated a commitment to the progress of Osun State over the past year, the true measure of success lies in sustained efforts and tangible outcomes that positively influence the lives of citizens.

APGA urged Governor Adeleke to maintain a focus on the welfare of the people, recognizing the significant challenges posed by a high number of jobless youths and pensioners experiencing economic hardship. As the leader of the state, prioritizing the well-being of citizens, especially the vulnerable segments of the population, should be at the forefront of governance.

While celebrating achievements, it is crucial to address the concerns of those most affected by economic challenges. The youth, representing the future of the state, are grappling with high levels of unemployment, hindering their ability to contribute meaningfully to society. Simultaneously, pensioners, who have dedicated their lives to public service, find themselves in dire financial straits, demanding immediate attention and intervention.

A comprehensive approach to governance that addresses these pressing issues will undoubtedly contribute to the overall development and prosperity of Osun State.

INTERNATIONAL WRITERS ASSOCIATION CELEBRATES CHINUA ACHEBE’S 93 POSTHUMOUS BIRTHDAY
The International Writers Association (IWA) has joined the global literary community in commemorating the 93rd posthumous birthday of the esteemed Nigerian novelist, poet, and critic, Prof. Chinua Achebe.
On this special occasion, the President of IWA, Wole Adedoyin, released a statement expressing the association's profound admiration and appreciation for the indelible mark left by Achebe on the world literary landscape.
Chinua Achebe, born Albert Chinụalụmọgụ Achebe on 16 November 1930, and who passed away on 21 March 2013, holds a pivotal place in modern African literature. His groundbreaking debut novel and magnum opus, "Things Fall Apart" (1958), remains the most widely studied, translated, and read African novel, solidifying Achebe's legacy as a literary icon. The trilogy comprising "Things Fall Apart," "No Longer at Ease" (1960), and "Arrow of God" (1964) continues to shape discussions on African identity, culture, and history.
While the IWA, in consideration of prevailing circumstances, has not organized a physical event to mark this momentous day, the association encouraged Chinua Achebe's ardent lovers, fans, and readers worldwide to celebrate his life and literary contributions in a unique way – by delving into the pages of his timeless works.
Achebe's impact transcends borders and generations, earning him the moniker "father of African literature" in the West, a title he passionately rejected. His literary repertoire expanded with influential novels like "A Man of the People" (1966) and "Anthills of the Savannah" (1987), solidifying his standing as a literary giant whose words continue to resonate.
The International Writers Association (IWA) expressed, "Chinua Achebe's literary brilliance and commitment to portraying the richness of African culture have left an enduring legacy. As we celebrate his 93rd posthumous birthday, let us reflect on the profound influence he has had on literature globally. In the absence of a physical gathering, we encourage individuals to engage with Achebe's works, fostering a deeper appreciation for the art that transcends time and borders."
The International Writers Association remains committed to preserving and promoting literary excellence, recognizing Chinua Achebe's enduring impact as an inspiration for future generations of writers.

Literature / Unraveling The Reasons Behind Camillus Ukah's Removal Of Prof. Ernest Emeyonu by synw: 10:05am On Nov 09, 2023
UNRAVELING THE REASONS BEHIND CAMILLUS UKAH'S REMOVAL OF PROF. ERNEST EMEYONU AND MAMA MABEL SEGUN FROM THE ANA'S BOT LIST

By Wole Adedoyin

Professor Wole Soyinka once said, "The man dies in all who keep silent in the face of tyranny. The greatest threat to freedom is the absence of criticism."

I strongly advocate for a comprehensive investigation into the numerous wrongdoings and illegal activities carried out by Camillus Ukah during the recently concluded ANA Convention.

There have been official complaints filed against him, to which he has not yet responded. Ukah made several unauthorized decisions without consulting his fellow executives, including the unjust removal of three Board of Trustees members, namely Prof. Ernest Emeyonu, Labo Yari and Mama Mabel Segun.

A look at the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) website reveals names such as Kole Omotoso (deceased), Mabel Segun, Ernest Emenyonu, Labo Yari (deceased), Chinua Achebe(deceased) and T.M Aluko (deceased) as members of ANA’s Board of Trustees. Last year, Prof. Maria Ajima's name was added to the list. Among these individuals, only three are currently alive: Mabel Segun, Ernest Emenyonu, and Maria Ajima.

Camillus Ukah's decision to remove three members from ANA's Board of Trustees was made without consulting his former executive members. During the congress, he claimed that Prof. Ernest Emeyonu should be replaced due to his non-residency, a violation of ANA's constitution. Did Camillus Ukah not know about this constitutional clause all along as Prof. Ernest Emeyonu has long been in ANA's record as a member of the BOT since 2013 Convention when he was approved at the AGM to replace the deceased Chinua Achebe and had been functioning as its Chairman since then? Can he honestly claim ignorance regarding Prof. Ernest Emenyonu's residency status before forwarding his name to the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) for registration and approval two years ago ? Was Chinua Achebe himself non- resident in Nigeria for years before his death in 2013? He was never removed as a member of the BOT and functioned as such until death.

Little-known to most people, both Camillus Ukah and Prof. Ernest Emeyonu hail from the same state, Imo State.

However, when a petition was filed against Camillus Ukah, accusing him of misconduct within the association, Prof. Ernest Emeyonu wrote to him, urging him to respond and defend himself. To this day, Camillus Ukah has not replied to the petition.Part of the gale of shadowy and corrupt actions which led to the series of petitions against Camillus Ukah by his executive council members to the BOT was the trading away of about 2.5 hectares of land out of the existing 5 hectares of ANA land to another land developer by proxy in an MOU which never received the endorsement of the BOT(as constitutionally mandated) nor seen or discussed by the executive council or ratified by the Congress. As I write new works have gone about halfway around ANA land in a supposed second phase while the first phase Camillus inherited from the Denja Abdullahi Administration is still uncompleted. The singularity and illegality of the signing of the MOU by Camillus Ukah and his secretary is obviously influenced by the millions of naira that exchanged hands which Camillus Ukah is yet to account to the owners of the land(the congress of ANA).

Recently, Prof. Ernest Emeyonu revealed on a WhatsApp platform that he had no knowledge of the association's convention and was not informed about it, which was why he was absent from the event. Many members of the ANA Executive Committee during Camillus Ukah's administration also expressed dissatisfaction, stating that important decisions were made without their involvement. Ukah solely and independently managed the association for four years, disregarding the input of the EXCO members. Despite their protests and petitions to the Board of Trustees, Advisory Council, Past Presidents, and Elders of the Association, no action was taken to salvage the situation.

The unfortunate reality was that Camillus Ukah undermined the authority of the trustees, showing no respect for their roles. He exploited their influence and then discarded them without regard.

Prof. Ernest Emeyonu, Labo Yari and Mama Mabel Segun played pivotal roles in maintaining stability and peace within ANA during Camillus Ukah's tenure. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, when Maiwada took ANA to court and when Camillus was yet to be elected, Prof. Ernest Emeyonu's directive led to the formation of the Professor Jerry Agada Committee. This committee was tasked with organizing the Markurdi 2020 emergency general meeting, which aimed to elect a new EXCO. It was this emergency meeting that eventually led to the formation of Camillus Ukah's executive team.

Camillus Ukah proposed to the congress the removal of Mama Mabel Segun's name and Labo Yari from the Board of Trustees. Despite Mama Mabel Segun's advanced age, she actively supported ANA when Barr. Ahmed Maiwada attempted to take control by taking ANA to court. Despite her age, she deposed to an affidavit, appending her signature and photograph to ANA's Legal Team, which was pivotal to the winning of the court case. The other trustee , Labo Yari, did same. What is so urgent that Mama Mabel Segun could not be allowed to remain in the BOT as a mark of honour to her even if Labo Yari had to be replaced? I was aware that Camillus Ukah held several meetings with selected chairmen before the convention, discussing his plans and seeking their support for ratification. Money exchanged hands during these meetings, and the script rehearsed during those gatherings was performed at the congress by those chairmen.

Following Camillus Ukah's directive at the recently concluded ANA Convention, Prof. Maria Ajima will be the sole remaining member of ANA's Board of Trustees.

Prof. Maria Ajima retained her position on the list not only due to her vitality and engagement but also because of her unwavering support for Camillus Ukah's administration. Some of us have recently learned about her involvement in persuading a candidate, who opposed Ukah's candidate for the legal adviser position, to withdraw. She has also been nominated without any authority alongside other persons with Camillus Ukah name too part of it into the board of directors of a secret company formed at CAC to manage " ANA Hotels and Apartments and other properties." The details of these incidents are now well-known and emerging.

In my view, if the congress approved the removal of both Mama Mabel Segun, Labo Yari and Prof. Ernest Emenyonu from ANA's Board of Trustees, then Prof. Maria Ajima should also be removed.

The entire board of trustees should be dissolved, and new members should be appointed. Removing Prof. Ernest Emeyonu, known for advising Camillus Ukah to address every petition written against him, or Mama Mabel Segun, who Camillus Ukah described as elderly (someone who previously helped ANA out of its predicaments), and retaining only Prof. Maria Ajima, who is loyal to his cause and supports his every action, appears to be politically motivated. It seems like a self-serving agenda. What has ANA come to? It is disconcerting that in ANA, the President wields more power than the Trustees and even the Congress.

Unfortunately, this imbalance occurred only during Camillus Ukah's administration; of course due to a president with a rapacious capacity to violate all administrative codes, rules and regulations. Camillus Ukah stands stall in infamy as the only President of ANA that throughout his tenure never accounted for his financial handlings of the affairs of the Association. His operational mode was so crooked and convoluted that they could not fit into any financial template. The records are there for anyone to check and crowned with the non- presentation of any financial statement or report at the last gestapo- like conducted AGM at the 2023 Convention.

The last has not been heard of the Camillus Ukah presidency of ANA and the newly elected officials in that contentious election would only move on well if they probe into some fraudulent and illegal actions taken by Camillus in the second half of his administration.

2023 IYAKE: A FESTIVAL NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN IN A HURRY

Ado-Awaye is a tourist town where Ado Mountain stands with a sprawling head on which it carries tourist attractions like the Ishage Boulder, Elephant Tree, Feet of Elders, Iya Alaro Lake and Iyake Lake amongst others.

In all, Iyake Suspended Natural Lake enjoys more prominence. Therefore, in celebration and promotion of Iyake Lake was why the Alado of Ado-Awaye, Oba (Rev'd) Ademola Olugbile Folakanmi, Makuledoye ll brought about Iyake International Festival in 2021.

This 2023 Iyake Festival which is the third edition, holds from November 14 to 16, 2023. This year, the festival takes an interesting dimension as small and big, young and old are seriously warming up and preparing to participate without any inhibition.

Already, Oba Ademola Olugbile Folakanmi has addressed a press conference with the participation of the Oyo State Ministry of Culture & Tourism as well as the Association of Local Government Chairmen in Oke-Ogun region of Oyo State through the Chair, Hon. Jelili Oyimloye.

According to Mr. Bola Olalere who is the Organising Committee Chairman of 2023 Iyake Festival, the committee is fully ready to deliver a big and successful outing. "Invitation letters and cards to the festival," Olalere said, "have been sent to obas and Yoruba descendants in the West-African subregion and Yoruba descendants in the diasporas."

As arrangements keep progressing, Alade Bello who is the Coordinator of the festival noted that the Organising of Iyake International Festival in 2023, has really fostered unity and harmony amongst the people of Ado-Awaye.

In fact, Ado-Awaye people were happy to sit with the Alado of Ado-Awaye, Oba (Rev'd) Ademola Olugbile Folakanmi, Makuledoye ll to deliberate on how important Iyake is and how to make a huge success of Iyake Festival.

As the 2023 Iyake International Festival draws nigh, other members of the Organising Committee including Babalola Oladayo (Secretary), Mr. Ebika Anthony, Mr. Ibi Sofekun, Mr. Isaac Bioku, Mr. Bashir Suleiman, Dr. Bimpe Aderounmu, Prince Niyi Okunade and Chief Nasir Oladokun are all working round the clock for what they described as 2023 Iyake: A festival not to be forgotten in a hurry.

MANIPULATED ELECTION AND ANA'S DOWNFALL: UNMASKING DR. USMAN AKANBI'S CONTROVERSIAL VICTORY AND CAMILLUS UKAH'S SELFISH AGENDA
By Wole Adedoyin
The recently concluded ANA convention, held from November 1 to 4, 2023, will be remembered for its blatant disregard for democratic processes and the Association's established rules. The event witnessed the most significant mockery of AGM/elections, marked by numerous violations of procedures, conventions, and regulations. The undemocratic nature and arbitrary behavior displayed during the convention were unparalleled in the history of the Association. The AGM took place without a proper agenda, minutes of the meeting, or any reports, including a complete absence of financial documentation. The entire proceedings were conducted by the President and his secretary, who stood throughout the event, further emphasizing the lack of transparency and accountability.
The ANA National Election, held on November 4, 2023, to elect the 13th President of the Association of Nigerian Authors, was tainted by widespread electoral malpractices and clear evidence of rigging. The election, which resulted in the victory of Dr. Usman Akanbi, was far from being free, fair, and credible. Numerous irregularities marred the process, including vote buying, the prevention of Hajiya Farida Mohammed's supporters from voting, the issuance of multiple voting papers to Pro-Akanbi voters, and the use of security forces to intimidate and harass members loyal to Hajiya Farida Mohammed.
This election marked a shameful milestone in the history of the Association of Nigerian Authors, with unprecedented levels of misconduct. Instances of over-voting, deliberate exclusion of names of members loyal to Hajiya Farida Mohammed, and a blatant disregard for ANA's established voting traditions further underscored the lack of integrity in the electoral process.
The recent ANA National Election was marred by manipulation, orchestrated by the former President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Camillus Ukah. He devised a cunning scheme to find a puppet who would shield his corrupt practices and unlawful actions. The accreditation process, relying on the purported ANA Membership revalidation list, was far from transparent. This list was not only tampered with but also intentionally structured to disqualify ANA members who were loyal to Hajiya Farida Mohammed. Camillus held a strong aversion towards Farida and vowed vehemently that she would never become the ANA President during his lifetime.

Prior to this incident, Camillus Ukah had vowed not to allow any of his outgoing National Executive Council (NEC) members to return. As a result, he personally orchestrated the most poorly organized convention in the history of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA). During the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association, no financial report was presented, marking a significant lapse in transparency and accountability.

THE PETITION BY THE MEMBERS OF ANA EXCO AGAINST CAMILLUS UKAH
The members of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Executive Committee lodged a formal complaint against Camillus Ukah's administration. For a period exceeding three years, Ukah had been unilaterally managing ANA affairs, excluding input from other National Executive Council (NEC) members. Critical agreements, including the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding ANA Land and other significant matters, were signed solely by Ukah and his secretary, sidelining other executive members of the association. Frustrated by this lack of inclusivity, aggrieved NEC members drafted a petition against his administration, which was addressed to Prof. Ernest Emenyonu, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ANA.
In response, Prof. Ernest Emenyonu requested Ukah's reply to the petition. Regrettably, Ukah has yet to provide a response. This failure to address the concerns raised in the petition led Ukah to propose the removal of Prof. Ernest Emenyonu from his position as the Chairman of ANA’s Board of Trustees during the recently concluded ANA National Convention. (To access the petition, click on this link: http:///40tuMoN.)
COMPOSITION OF THE ELECTORAL PANEL
The electoral panel responsible for organizing the questionable election was comprised of individuals loyal to Camillus Ukah, deviating from the traditional ANA Elections protocol, which typically involves ANA Elders. Notably, two members of the committee were Branch Chairmen currently affiliated with Camillus Ukah. Moreover, the self-appointed Chairman of the Electoral committee was one of the members recently designated as ANA Fellow by Camillus Ukah himself.

ON THE CONTROVERSIAL REVALIDATED MEMBERSHIP LIST
The situation took a dark turn when an electoral register, supposedly comprised of revalidated members, was manipulated to exclude potential voters who were against Camillus Ukah's preferred candidates for executive positions. Camillus Ukah used flimsy and outright abusive tactics to remove these individuals from the list, including legally qualified persons and even some ANA chapter chairmen, both current and former. Prominent chairmen like ANA Oyo, ANA Nassarawa, and ANA Niger found themselves barred from accessing the AGM, leading to their disenfranchisement.
Additionally, Five members of Camillus Ukah's national executive council, those who didn't align with his interests and contested, were screened out and denied entry to the AGM/election venue. It was only after these individuals protested to the advisory council members, where I was present, that the anomalies in the process were brought to light and argued against. Many witnesses experienced the election as nothing short of a perfectly rigged affair orchestrated by Camillus Ukah. The evidence of this manipulation is glaring and accessible to anyone who cares to look. By no standard can this election be deemed free and fair; it would not withstand scrutiny in any investigative or judicial inquiry.
ELECTION IRREGULARITIES: OVER-VOTING ISSUE
During the recent ANA National election, a significant electoral irregularity was observed in the form of over-voting. The breakdown of the votes cast in various categories reveals this concern:
Presidential Election:
• Akanbi: 140 votes
• Hajia Farida Mohammed: 86 votes
• Voids: 4
• Total Number of Accredited Voters: 209
• Total Number of Votes Cast: 230

• Yogiza: 67 votes
• Voids: 23
• Total Number of Accredited Voters: 209
• Total Number of Votes Cast: 210
• Excess Vote: 1
Despite clear evidence of over-voting, the Pro-Camillus Ukah Electoral panel proceeded to announce Dr. Usman Akanbi as the duly elected President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA).
ELECTION FRAUD: VOTE BUYING IN THE ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN AUTHORS
The recent election held by the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) was marred by widespread vote buying. The outgoing National President of ANA has transformed the organization into a political arena, where money exchanged hands in order to secure votes. Certain individuals were offered sums ranging from N20,000 to N40,000 to sway their votes. Additionally, Chapter Chairmen, excluding those loyal to Hajia Farida Mohammed, were enticed with substantial amounts of money to support Camillus Ukah's illicit efforts, ensuring that his chosen candidate would emerge as the President of ANA. This blatant manipulation of the election process involved the unethical practice of buying votes.
USING SECURITY FORCES TO BRUTALIZE AND HARASS LOYAL SUPPORTERS OF HAJIYA FARDIA MOHAMMED
Many of us who opposed the fraudulent convention and election faced threats from DSS officers, who were deployed to protect the illegal activities orchestrated by Camillus Ukah. We were threatened with violence, and one of our members, Mr. Taiwo Akerele, the former Chairman of ANA Abuja and the Campaign Director for Dr. Adams Lois, a candidate for the National Treasurer position, was brutally attacked. Mr. Akerele sustained severe injuries and was promptly rushed to the hospital for treatment.
UNILATERAL REMOVAL OF PROF. ERNEST EMENYONU, MAMA MABEL SEGUN, AND LABO YARI BY CAMILLUS UKAH
During the recent ANA Convention, the three esteemed trustees of the Association—Prof. Ernest Emenyonu, Mama Mabel Segun, and the late Labo Yari—were unilaterally removed and replaced by the outgoing president, Camillus Ukah. This decision was made without following formal procedures or engaging in any prior discussions within the National Executive Council. Camillus Ukah simply announced these changes at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) without allowing for any debate or consideration. The replacements were handpicked solely by him, without adhering to the expected inherent balance in a national association. The captive audience of pre-selected accredited delegates at the AGM complied according to a predetermined script. This hasty and undebated decision-making process characterized many significant resolutions passed at the convention of the largest writers' body in Africa.

ON ANA ELECTION/CONVENTION: TO THOSE SENDING ME MOCKERY MESSAGES

Yes, I had received countless of mockery messages about how Camillus betrayed, used and dumped me. To all those mocking me. Yes, this is your happy hour. Like some had said that Camillus served me wotowoto. Please utilize it fully well. Make jest of me. Call me different names. I worked and suffered for the association. With the N5000 (Five Thousand Naira) naira monthly data stipend given to me every month by Camillus (will print out my bank statement and make it public as evidence if publicly requested.

I projected ANA beyond the shores of Nigeria and Africa. Camillus did not only used and dumped me. He made me sleep at the Gate house of the World Class Hotel, he single handedly removed my name from the accredited list of the Voters (thanks to the elders who later cleared me to vote and be voted for in that Election. Till date, I was not given any membership card and Certificate of Participation given to members that attended the convention.

I was also only given a convention package without ANA Magazine, Jotter and Convention shirt despite paying the requested Registration fees. The Election was a fraud. First timers loyal to Camillus Ukah voted in that elections. Lots of students brought from the South South and South East who were not qualified to vote being their first time voted in that Election. Like I wrote in our EXCO platform, I did not contest against my opponent in that Election.

I contested against Camillus Ukah. With his incumbency power he rigged us all out of that Election. 90% of the EXCO members did not know how the election and the convention were planned. We made these known to the elders of the association. That is why no reports were given. No auditor's report, no financial Secretary's report, no minutes of the last AGM meeting. And this is because some of those who were to sign these were against his illegal activities. And those things were endorsed by the elders on ground.

Lots of qualified ANA Members who were loyal to Farida and qualified to vote were schemed out of that election through the politically planned Membership Revalidation Exercise which some of us initially kicked against. Our names were intentionally removed by Camillus. (there are lots to be revealed in my coming reports with recordings and picture evidence) so that you will know which point to use to mock and ridicle me.

Camillus did not only tribalized and bastardized ANA. These were some of his actions we kicked against that made us looked like we are the bad guys. But let it also be noted that I fell out with Camillus Ukah because of his selfish agenda and unprogressive actions against the association. Also my loyalty to Denja Abdulahi. Camillus wanted me to take the similar step he took against Denja which I refused.

Yes, we allowed the whole things to go like that because of the pleadings of ANA Elders and Camillus's open apology to the whole EXCO members (which I have the evidence with me). I did not regret any of my actions.
I will advise you don't mock me yet just wait for my full report on the just concluded ANA Convention and fraudulent Election.

Thanks and God bless

WOLE ADEDOYIN UNVEILS PLANS FOR ADMINISTERING THE ANA SECRETARIAT

In anticipation of the upcoming ANA Election, Wole Adedoyin, a candidate vying for the role of General Secretary, has revealed an extensive blueprint that encapsulates his vision for the future of the ANA Secretariat. Grounded in principles of modernization, inclusivity, and active member engagement, Adedoyin's innovative strategies hold the potential to reshape the literary terrain not just in Nigeria but also on a global scale.

Adedoyin's foremost initiative involves the establishment of a Hybrid ANA Secretariat, seamlessly integrating physical and online activities. Embracing the digital era, he plans to launch State-Based Blog Projects, providing every State Chapter with individual sub-websites to document and promote their literary events. Simultaneously, the ANA website is set to undergo a significant upgrade, enabling the promotion and sale of works by ANA members and showcasing a wealth of association-related content.

Furthermore, Adedoyin is set to enhance ANA's online presence by revamping the association's social media platforms, ensuring regular updates on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. Existing blogs will undergo improvements and be seamlessly integrated into the official website, providing members with a cohesive online experience. Every ANA Chapter Chairman will be equipped with personalized email accounts, enhancing communication within the association.

A groundbreaking addition to ANA's communication channels will be the launch of a Monthly Electronic Newsletter, offering in-depth coverage of state chapters' activities, interviews, and literary works. Adedoyin's tenure will also witness Weekly Engagements, featuring highlights such as Author of the Week and Book of the Week, ensuring the association remains vibrant and dynamic.

In an effort to foster a sense of belonging among young writers, Adedoyin plans to initiate a Chapbook Series exclusively dedicated to unpublished writers affiliated with ANA. Additionally, he will organize Member Workshops focusing on professional skills, marketing strategies, and self-publishing techniques.

Recognizing the importance of recognizing achievements, Adedoyin will introduce a range of Awards, Rewards, and Recognition categories, such as Chapter of the Year and Dedicated Member of the Year, inspiring active participation among members. He also intends to establish an archive chronicling ANA's history and contributions to the literary world.

Adedoyin’s tenure as ANA Secretary will usher in an era of collaboration, as he plans to establish partnerships with global literary organizations like the International Human Rights Art Movement (IHRAM) and the International Women Writing Guild (IWWG). To enrich the reading culture in Nigeria, he will encourage the creation of book clubs in ANA State chapters and selected schools.

Furthermore, Adedoyin is committed to the mentorship of aspiring writers, initiating programs where experienced authors guide and nurture the talents of the next generation. To ensure members' voices are heard, he will implement a Feedback System, creating a mechanism for members to express their needs and concerns.

Wole Adedoyin's vision for the ANA Secretariat is poised to revolutionize the literary landscape, ushering in an era of innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity.

According to Wole Adedoyin, a successful executive led by a visionary president needs an engine room that will drive all programmes and projects effectively and efficiently. That engine room in ANA is the secretariat manned by an experienced, knowledgeable and hardworking General Secretary. This critical job cannot be left to someone who does not have an institutional memory nor is familiar with the huge human and intellectual resources of the Association. It is not a place to come and start learning the ropes. Adedoyin promised to deliver on all the promises made above and in his years in ANA, he has been known for delivering for the Association. If elected as General Secretary in ANA, Adedoyin will continue in the best traditions of past General Secretaries such as kole Omotoso, Femi Osofisan, Odia Ofeimun, Nnimmo Bassey, Ada Ugah,Wale Okediran, Nduka Otiono, Denja Abdullahi, Hyacinth Obunseh and others.
