There is nothing wrong, Politicians are lying and their minions are amplifying the lies. For Nigeria to get cheap fuel, we have to own and produce a significant % of the production cost of crude oil, we own crude yes, but exploration, drilling and maintenance of an oil well is expensive coupled with inherent corruption cost which are all mostly in dollars. That's why the street is paying these cost through higher pump price. By the time VAT is increased, we will pay more for fuel and other items, thus leaving the average person less money to buy other stuffs.
