In my experience, the study permit is issued for the duration of the program, up to a maximum of 3 years. This is regardless of the validity of the TRV. It does help to renew his passport before leaving Nig tho, and avoid the hassle to renew at Ottawa. Eilenora: |

Where on the website pls? Is it this link?http://transcripts.unilag.edu.ng/pdf/ The courier field here is completely blank. Kindly clarify if there’s a different link for transcript information. I haven’t been able to find any. Thank you. cuteguy201: |

Update. I have been able to contact someone at the Ministry willing to help with a reference letter. Can someone please help with further details of the format required? I know it has to include the period of employment, work hours, annual income, and job description. Am I missing anything? For the period of employment, do I need to put exact dates? Or I could just leave it as August 2014 - July 2015? Also, should the letter state that I was working there as part of the NYSC scheme? Or should it just be portrayed as a regular employment? I was thinking of adding both my NYSC pay and MOE pay to show annual income. Is this appropriate? Thanks a lot for your help! 1 Like |

Has anyone requested a transcript from Unilag recently? Their website doesn't show the cost of delivery to Canada. I just wanna know if it's still the same N16k that it was 3 years ago. |

Hello everyone, Newbie here. Thanks in advance for all your help. I am just about to begin this entire process. I intend to use my NYSC alone as my job experience. I did my NYSC at the Lagos State Ministry of Environment. I know it may be hard to get a reference letter from them so I just wanted to find out if anyone has done something similar (did NYSC at a ministry), and if they were able to get a reference letter in the required format. Any help will be immensely appreciated. Thank you! |

Hi guys, I have a long stopover in Paris on New Year's day on my way back to school. Is there anyone in France who can give ideas on what I can do in Paris for about 4-5 hours, including the best way to get from the airport to the city? I just don't want to spend New Year's day stuck in an airport. Help a sister out please!! |

Danfuster: You could try underlining, or using a highlighter. Just something to draw their attention to what u want them to see. |

Hi everyone! Happy new year! So I was chatting with the Immigration adviser in my school yesterday, and she mentioned something I thought I should drop here. She said cos the people at CIC don't normally have time to read through long documents, it is advisable to highlight important points, or rather, the points you want them to notice in whatever you're uploading. Be it bank statement, letter of sponsorship or whatever. Hope this helps! On another note, my sister is applying for a visit visa, and she needs to show that she only intends to stay temporarily. Does anyone have an idea of what docs she can use to show this? CIC suggested flight ticket or hotel booking but she doesn't wanna buy a ticket yet. Please help. Thanks! 1 Like 1 Share |
