Like a motivational speaker would say, "the issue is not the problem you are facing but the solution you can think of".

Yesterday was a tough day for me but as a full blooded naija man exposed to hard life from childhood, I immediately found a solution for the problem.

Let me make it brief.

While I'm working hard so to get a job and beat poverty, I'm also praying fervently for God's mercy in my life because a single fame from Him can bury all the years of shame.

I'm seriously in need of a job and so I applied for a vacancy I was in the know. I was called for interview yesterday. The transport fare wasn't even enough but I managed to gather what could take me to and fro. Dressed in corporate, I went. All I had with me was N800 including my feeding. So I spent N400 for food, paid tfare N200 to get to the venue and N200 left for my fro. How the remaining N200 lost in my pocket, I can't tell till now. Can't even tell if a fellow applicant pilfered me.

After the interview, that was when I realized I was without a penny. I searched everything to find the missing N200 but to no avail. I almost cried because of how important the money was (pray against every spirit of poverty). Having not seen,

I approached the first two guys for help but they shunned me. Naturally I don't like begging. I prefer to die in silence than begging openly cos I feel very bad if turned down. After the first two guys snubbed me, as a true Nigerian and full blooded 'kpako', and sportive in appearance, something struck me. Immediately, I folded my trouser upward and to add comic to it, I left the tie still on my neck and in no time, I was on the road jogging and heading back home at around 2-3 pm with my file in my hands.

People were looking and in surprise over the unusual jogging dress. That was how I jogged on major roads and short cuts till I reached house. I can't really quantify the total distance but it is something over 10km. As I reached house, I freshened up immediately even though nothing to eat, I found Garri and sipped. Life goes on!

My prayer: may I make it in this life, Amen.

People, in all you do, work hard and pray against poverty. It is not something to wish even your worst enemy.

Meanwhile, the interview ended on 'we'll get back to you". I'm still waiting for them.

1. The supplies took time to assemble. My girlfriend is a major contractor.

2. The first batch of states received supplies around 29th of August.

3. Why so late? Alhaji Dangote and friends wanted to boost the local economy of each local government area by buying some local foodstuffs from local farmers in each community. That is a huge plan and it took a lot of time to package. Garri that is rushed into sealed package will have a short shelf life.

4. Why so late? Aliko and friends also want to boost local manufacturing industries like Nestle and Indomie. So, they asked contractors to buy from them too. The control is too technical because they want everything to be transparent.

5. Why kept for so long? Not so long. The process was just reaching halfway implementation by September 2020.

6. Aliko demanded that each state government must allow his team to track daily distribution, so as to ensure each item is getting to you directly. The delay is not from the governors (APC/PDP/APGA)...the delay is because Aliko is very strict and he cares for your poverty.

7. Not one naira of what you stole belongs to any government, but the process of distribution in use by Aliko foundation is too slow, too strict and too detailed.

Once again, you have bitten the hand that is trying to feed you.

That’s the little I know.

Aliko Dangote was born into a rich family and never hawked cement and he didn’t start small.

The day I left was the happiest day of my life.

There was this brother of mine who is my landlord then during my school days. He told me he needed to travel out of the country, though his junior sister stays in London, he wanted to use that influence to travel out.

The day came when he is about going, he got his visa, he showed me and he said to me if he gets there that he will not disappoint me that I should not worry ...

Though he is managing too, his sister sent him money for travelling and processing of the visa. He told me to dash him my suit and winter coat also one of my shoe of which I did. He is very local and not sociable.. It was the suit I gave him and my shoe he wore to UK.

When he got to UK, two Months later I heard that he sent money to his girlfriend and that one is just fuckinng around.

Fastfoward to this time i sent him messages on Facebook just to say hi and to know hope he is doing well. He did not reply but he saw my messages. Llater again I resend him message he told me that he will block me. He pretended as if he doesn't know me. This is the brother that do borrow Maggie and salt whenever he wants to cook or even beg me for soup.....

My intention is to greet him not demanding money from him. But now is it a crime to say hello because you stay in UK or Yankee? I don't know why people staying abroad always change their attitude whenever they travel out of the country.....

I live in USA and I got in two years ago. Some people back home are really inhuman. Few of my recent experience. My best friend before I left Naija started calling me to use my bank account and home address for internet fraud, he was a good man when we were together ...would you blame for staying away from him?
2. A childhood friend of mine who finished his NYSC last few months and is obviously out of job, I offered to give him #300k and he said he would only use it to eat that that is too small for anything. I connected him to my aunt for a job and he eventually disrespected my 55yrs old aunt .
3. A lady I met when I was working as a classroom teacher in a sch is out of job. I offered her to go learn hair and makeup and I was willing to set her up. She came back and requested for. 50k for the training fee which I sent the following day. She didn’t even pay for the training. She came back months later to ask me for money flying furnish her newly rented 900k apartment in surulere. A supposedly non working girl.

Lastly, a cousin of mine has always been asking for money. Sometimes I send 20...sometimes 10, sometimes 50 depending on my pocket. I noticed that on he is always at the club and post pictures of expensive drinks on IG and Facebook. Which man will be in his right senses and work then give a cousin to keep drinking. Almost all the family members here noticed that.

Some of the people disturbing you for money have more money than you. So far my conscience is clean. My friend don’t help me... wash

I will not agree with you. i work in a Russian firm and he has been in the united states for 29years. He employed Indians, togolese , Nigerians and several other arab nationals. his principle is "all men are men " Ive worked here for 4months now....and as the only black man in my department,
i have never been racially abused b4. although the lunch provided daily are mostly Russian food but they dont force it on anybody.
