A few days ago, a photo of a woman seeking for a job for her husband by holding a placard with his credentials on the streets went viral. According to an IG user, KBK, he reached out to the man and discovered that he currently has a bank job with N50k salary albeit being owed for several months and will only accept a job with a minimum of N200k salary. https://alexis.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/59bfc9bab3959.JPG KBK wrote; Some of you might have seen this viral picture of wife scouting job for hubby. I called the number to offer her husband a job. Maybe create a post for him in the foundation, but I was told, the minimum he will accept per month is N200,000. Maximum salary I ever offered anyone is a lil lower than the minimum he wants, so NO DEAL! The man presently works with a bank that pays him 50k and he's being owed for several months.. He is a graduate of computer science. My conclusion: He doesn't need employment that bad! I pray his preferred job falls on him soon.

https://alexis.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/59bfa3ea37dc5.jpg Former England captain and Manchester United star, Wayne Rooney has been banned from driving for two years and given 100 hours' community service after pleading guilty today to a drink-driving charge. The Everton striker was stopped by police while driving 29-year-old party girl Laura Simpson home from a night out in her Volkswagen Beetle in Wilmslow, Cheshire, at 2am on September 1. Rooney’s pregnant wife Coleen and their three sons were on holiday in Mallorca at that time. Today, the Stockport Magistrates' Court heard Rooney was stopped because Miss Simpson's car had a faulty brake light and his breath reading was 104mg per 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 35mg. The former England captain was handed a 24-month driving ban and given 100 hours' community service as part of a 12-month community order. In a statement issued after the plea the striker, apologized for his 'unforgivable lack of judgment'. Rooney said: 'Following today's court hearing I want publicly to apologise for my unforgivable lack of judgment in driving while over the legal limit. It was completely wrong. 'I have already said sorry to my family, my manager, and chairman and everyone at Everton FC. Now I want to apologise to all the fans and everyone else who has followed and supported me throughout my career. 'Of course, I accept the sentence of the court and hope that I can make some amends through my community service.' In reply, the judge told him: 'I accept your remorse is genuine. I accept the effects this has had in you and your family.' Rooney's lawyer, Michael Rainford, said he 'expresses his remorse for a terrible error of judgment'. According to him, ‘ it's 'likely he will be fined by Everton, probably two weeks' salary' - which amounts to around £300,000. http://valentineigbeli..com.ng/2017/09/update-wayne-rooney-banned-from-driving.html

She wrote; "Reflecting on my weight loss journey being that next week I turn the page in my book & start a new chapter. Here are some pictures to sum up my over 2 year weight loss progress. I wanted to take a min to say thank you to each & everyone of my supporters ? you guys don't understand how much you play apart of my continued success... I post everything not just to motivate you all but also for accountability ?? that is the reason I started sharing so that so many ppl would be watching it wouldn't be acceptable to fail (that probably sounds crazy) but seriously for me it's so much easier to fail in private than in public so I wanted to be as LOUD as I could I wanted the naysayers I wanted ppl to wait on my down fall because it only kept me going harder it only kept me pushing on the days I wanted to give up I knew someone was waiting for that & sometimes that pushes you more than you can push yourself. I don't share many before and after pics anymore because I've done it for almost 2 years now so I honestly don't even really think of it anymore but since I'm beginning this new chapter I wanted to remind myself of what it took to get here". Popular on-air persoanlity and former rapper, Kshow The Maestro of City 105.1 FM has vowed never to feature his songs on his show. He made this known through his Twitter page (@Thekshowkshow) and stated that: I have officially banned all Mr Eazi’s songs on my show, if you will be that disrespectful to all Nigerians you can seek the airplay in Ghana. The host of “The Hip Hop Ride” which airs from 9pm on the lifestyle station said that the ban was placed on Mr. Eazi because of his disrespectful comments about Nigeria. I have officially banned all Mr eazi’s songs on my show,if you will be that disrespectful to all Nigerians you can seek the airplay in Ghana — Kshow Da Maestro (@Thekshowkshow) September 12, 2017 Mr. Eazi had earlier stated that Nigerian artistes were copying his Ghanaian highlife-influenced sound to make quick hit songs and he has been dragged continuously by most Nigerians since the video reached the internet. Before that time, Mr. Eazi had also claimed that Nigerian music was influenced by Ghanaian music, this comment also drew public anger and he was heavily called out for it. K Show said that since the singer has repeatedly disrespected Nigerians he should start seeking airplay in Ghana. Many reactions have been trailing his decision as some support his decision while others feel it is too farfetched. It remains to be seen whether he will carry out this decision to the letter. 1. Davido – If https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=helEv0kGHd4 At some point this year, you would have said ‘thirty billion for the account oh!’, whether or not it was true. ‘If’ reminded Nigerians why they are fans of OBO and even amidst all of Wizkid’s international attention, Davido’s decision to challenge the direction SONY wanted him to go looks like a smart one. |
2. Olamide – Wo!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2u5Gbadn7o Olamide tried a couple of sounds out this year but no song had him sounding more like himself than the Young John produced street banger. From the Wo!! challenge to all the radio air play the song get, we will definitely jamming to this YBNL tune for a while. |
3. Davido – Fall https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Iyuym-Gci0 Davido had a really good year. The musical direction that his latest singles took not only showed the artiste’s growth but also had his sounding his best. The combination of Davido’s vocals with the minimalist production proved to be a match made in musical heaven. |
4. Small Doctor – Penalty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVDmkCJrptI Whether you were on the streets or you were in the club, there was no escaping Penalty. ‘Penalty’ won many of Doctor’s critics over because of the high energy that seemed to burst out of the song and of course, the catchphrase about kicking penalties into throw-ins. |
5. Wizkid – Come Closer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUetSQlxOWY This track was so hot that Baba Nla had to drop two music videos for it. Star boy’s collaboration with Drake hit the spot and enjoyed, and is still enjoying, a nice reign on the iTunes’ chart. |
6. Mayourkun – Mama https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6Pq5eqx-uY Mayourkun proved to us that he is no one hit wonder with a string of hits this year. Seemingly taking a cue from Runtown’s song, Mama breathes new life to the new Naija pop wave. From the call and response chorus to the colorful instrumentation, Mayourkun gave us a jam for days. |
7. Runtown – Mad Over You https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb4X1BWNO5k Runtown’s lovey dovey track made a remarkable listen this year. Runtown did justice to slick beat and delivered a tune that we kept on repeat time after time. Mr Eazi might think he inspired it but who’s complaining |
8. YCee – Juice ft. Maleek Berry https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwC1xMwxVnI There is no doubt that YCee and Maleek Berry gave us one of the catchiest choruses and Instagram captions of 2017. The fresh beat made the song an instant ear worm and one of the best party ready tracks of this year. |
9. Tiwa Savage – All Over https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFBQzRNsMK0 Tiwa Savage came back for her throne in Naija pop music and we were glad to give it to her. The only song by a female musician on this list, All Over is an infectious pop tune that does not try to do too much and we love that about it. |
10. Terry Apala – Champagne Showers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DQSzoze-aU Terry Apala started really making waves last year summer with his unique Apala style but it wasn’t until early 2017 that he started getting massive air play. Although you might not be able to discern the lyrics upon a first listen, the bass heavy track leaves an indelible sonic mark with its edgy production and raspy vocals. |
It's been a really good year for Nigerian music. Even though the year started slowly, it turned out to be a great one for Nigerian music so far. Perhaps a few more bangers might still come out before December 31, these ten songs are the top ten so far. Mynd44,Lalasticlala |

https://alexis.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/59ba6082820fd.jpg A six-year-old pupil allegedly committed suicide at school in Seshego outside Polokwane, South Africa on Tuesday. Mohau Mamaregane, a Grade 1 learner at Dorothy Langa Primary School, was found hanging from a noose (Pictured) on a recycling bag. The pupil had asked to go the toilet. When he did not return to class, another pupil was sent to look for him. The school alleged that the fellow pupil found him with his head inside a recycling bin. He was rushed to a local clinic where he was certified dead. The family is seeking answers after mysterious marks were discovered on his neck. The boy's mother, Rosina Mamaregane, told Sowetan that her son "had bruises on his neck which indicated that a rope had been used to strangle him". She added he also had a swollen cheek and bubbles were coming out of his mouth. He had also vomited, she said. "I want answers to what caused my son's death," said the 34-year-old mother. With tears rolling down her face, the distraught mother said she had received a call from the school principal summoning her to the local clinic where he had taken her son. "There is a first-aid kit at every school. Why they did not use it on him while summoning paramedics?" she asked. "The principal told me to accept what the nurses told me. I smell a rat." "As a family we believe he was strangled and suffocated inside a recycling bin on the school premises, as evidenced by footprints we found next to where his body was found," Mamaregane said. The mother said when she went to fetch the postmortem report, she was told it would only be given to the police. "I guess there is more to this than meets the eye. The truth must come out," she said. Her sister, Lekwetse Nchabeleng, said they were still traumatised by the incident. "I raised the boy as my own. It is impossible that he could have committed suicide," said Nchabeleng who was supported by her 75-year-old grandfather, Bernard Mamabolo who urged police to investigate the matter. Lieutenant-Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said the circumstances behind the incident were unknown and that investigations would reveal the cause of death. "We advise members of the community, including teachers, to put the safety of children first on the basis that their movements and whereabouts must be monitored at all times to prevent these type of incidents," Ngoepe said. Provincial education department spokesman, Naledzani Rasila, said they were working with police and the family to uncover the truth. He said they had also provided counselling to pupils and teachers at the school. Mynd44,Lalasticlala http://valentineigbeli..com.ng/2017/09/six-year-old-pupil-allegedly-commits.html

Two parents have been left heartbroken after their sons all killed themselves, as well as their cousin. Patricia and Eddie Ferrin lost their sons Stephen, 31, Niall, 19, and Kieran, 24, to suicide, all in a space of six years. Their cousin Christopher also committed suicide. The heartbroken parents are left with their two daughters, having lost all their sons. Dad-of-one Stephen Ferrin, 31, died at the weekend just days after returning home from going missing. His death was the fourth suicide to hit the Northern Irish family after his brothers Niall, 19, and Kieran, 24, took their own lives, as did their cousin, Christopher, 19. Parents Patricia and Eddie told the Belfast Telegraph: "Stephen is a father, a brother and a son who is cherished and deeply loved and will be sadly missed by all his friends and family. He was a handsome young man, who was very witty, and who had lots and lots of friends. "His death is devastating to us, to his friends and to the whole community and we would like to bury him with the dignity and the respect he deserves. " Stephen was reported missing last week before being found after an appeal but he was discovered dead at home on Saturday just days after his return. Stephen is also believed to have lost five close friends to suicide. The second son, Kieran took his own life in 2014 five months after reportedly being beaten unconscious in a vicious sectarian assault. His death came three years after brother Niall took his own life. Niall was also reported to have been the victim of a sectarian attack at the age of just 15. Cousin Christopher's suicide in 2010 came just days after he had reportedly broken down in tears after waiting all day to see a mental health team. Family friend Philip McTaggart, who also lost his son to suicide, told Belfast Live: "It is utterly heartbreaking. Stephen was a very pleasant young man, a very witty young man. He had lots and lots of friends. He had been going training, had been doing very well at that. "All of a sudden I think he went into a downward spiral and he left the training and ended up leaving his job. These are all classic signs that a young man is feeling down and maybe some things had just got on top of him." He added: "I have known the family for a lot of years. In this case, Stephen had seven friends, one cousin and two brothers that he lost to suicide. Why would this man not have been given the proper support? That is another young man who is no longer with us. Our system is broken. We’ve got to find a better way of doing this. "And I’m not blaming nurses and I’m not blaming doctors. But there has to be a better way if somebody is vulnerable. The World Health Organisation states clearly that if somebody loses a loved one to suicide that they have a high risk of taking their own life. "This young man didn’t lose one person, he lost two brothers, a cousin and five friends. It’s just unbelievable. My belief is that we need to call for a dedicated centre to deal with people who have mental health problems, who are vulnerable and at risk of ending their own lives." He continued: "The wealthiest place on our island is the graveyard simply because of all those who have sadly ended their own lives. They've had wonderful gifts and talents. They could have been doctors, poets and teachers and sadly never had the opportunity to share those gifts with us. "A father, a son, a brother is sadly no longer with them. They said that they miss their loved one Stephen and they want to bury him with respect and dignity. They wouldn't wish this upon anyone. They would encourage anyone who has issues or difficulties to talk to somebody and not to suffer in silence." Stephen's funeral is expected to be held later this week.
