IJMB 2024/2025 Registration: IJMB 2024/2025 Registration commences Officially on 23/12/2023 (23rd of December, 2023) and will likely extend till the second half of 2024(July – September 2024). You should also note that Lectures will commence as from March, 2024, now that the lockdown due to COVID-19 has been eased and the Federal Government have ordered the reopening of schools for final year students.

IJMB 2020/2021 Examination Schedule for May/June 2021
Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Institute of Education, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria has released notification on 2020/2021 adjusted academic calendar of events for IJMB programme.

The session has been reviewed in-line with the lockdown of schools nationwide which has prolonged the academic session. This has also affected the examination date which usually commence February of every year.

School News Today | FG Fixed August 4th, 2020 As Schools Resumption Date

Finally, FG Announces August 4, For Schools Reopening

The Federal Government (FG) has announced that schools in the country will reopen on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 for pupils in exit classes to sit for their examinations.

FG after a virtual stakeholders meeting declared that students will have two weeks to prepare for the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) organised by the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC).

The consultative meeting was between the Federal Ministry of Education, Commissioners of Education of the 36 states, the Nigerian Union of Teachers, (NUT), the proprietors of private schools, and Chief Executives of examination bodies.

In a statement signed by the Director, Press and Public Relations, FMoE, Ben Goong, FG said:

“stakeholders at the meeting agreed that the exit classes should resume immediately after the Sallah break, from the 4th of August, 2020 to enable them prepare for the WAEC examinations scheduled to commence from the 17th of August, 2020.

“The meeting also resolved that a passionate appeal be made to the Federal Government through the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and public spirited Nigerians for assistance to schools across the country to enable them fast track the preparations of safe reopening, as agreed.

“Another meeting is to be convened tomorrow between the Federal Ministry of Education and Chief Executives of examination bodies namely, NECO, NABTEB and NBAIS to harmonise their examination dates, which will be conveyed to stakeholders expeditiously by the Federal Ministry of Education.”

For me i don't see the reason for govt to cancel the show because it has already started and some people and some company's has invested money on it. I'm not a fan of BBnaija but some people are and is not by force to watch it there are other channels and program to watch on dstv.my concern is that govt should tax them and make something from the show and invest it bck to the society.
