Allsmilez999: I am still learning to leave past relationships in the past. If for any reason we haven’t talked in years, i leave it up to fate to reunite us.
All the other times i have gone the extra mile to reach out, the conversation never goes beyond “long time! I am surprised to hear from you, how are you, what do you do now” and all that jazz!
After that first day or first week, the relationship dies again. So now, i don’t even bother. Even if i run into them in public, we have those conversations in person and i don’t even ask to exchange contact info. Keep it moving.
Life has taken people far and wide, physically, emotionally and mentally.
Spending time/resources looking for people like this only means you are stuck! Stuck emotionally? I don’t know! Maybe one of them was your childhood girlfriend or crush.
Taking the risk is up to you OP but brace for impact (disappointment). Spent years looking for my one of best friend in secondary school, after all the emotional stress and trauma, finally got his number from the strangest of place… The first time i texted him,man had this thought of maybe I’m trying to ask him for money or help, tried to keep the conversation going for two days,it wasn’t working… it’s been three years now, since we last exchanged a text |

Hadassahdia: Hello Nairaland family,
I’m reaching out with the hope that someone might recognize or help me reconnect with my childhood friends.
They were four siblings who lived in Maza Maza, Lagos many years ago. Their names are:
Chioma (the eldest) Mary Moses Chiwendu We were very close as children, but we lost contact over the years, and I’ve been thinking about them a lot lately. Unfortunately, I don’t remember their last name, but I believe they lived in or around Maza Maza during the early 2000s.
If you are one of them or know someone who matches this description, please reach out. Or if anyone here has any ideas on how I might trace them, I would truly appreciate your help.
You can reply here or send me a private message. Thank you and God bless you all. You’d get heartbroken if you later find them, you’d realize they don’t care about you that much anymore and life has shaped them differently… |
