Had a dream in which I was ascending up a steep road. At a point along the road there is an obstruction that to pass through it one have to climb through some sort of enclosure. My attempt to pass through it resulted in snake bites on my left arm three times. Immediately after the bites I withdraw and in a short while met a young man who sucks out the venom of the snake bites from my arm. The setting is the town in which i went to the uni.

omenka: PDP knows all these and that is why they would rather co-opt one nonentity to file the case in court on their behalf. They know what an embarrassment they would get going to court on the basis of what is available as per evidence and the position of the law. They, the PDP, knew this. That's why they are not going the qualification route but that Buhari lied under oath. And perjury is a criminal offense. |

Though I lean a bit to GEJ side I quite agree with the writeup as I actually took the time to checked the cited cases.
Buhari is quite qualified to contest. The principal letter, when he was about to enroll into the Army, is sufficient enough. Whether he sat and or passed WAEC is immaterial.
As someone used to say, the Nigerian constitution is full of loopholes that is to the benefits of the North.
But, the perjury? Let see... |

I disagree with this.
The Nigerian mentality is partly responsible for this perception: the mentality to hammer big and quickly.
To succeed in the legal profession you have to know your onions. How many Nigerian law graduates garner the requisite experience before going solo? And even at that most want to works with a corporate firms, which can only take so much.
My immediate elder bro works, let me rather say toil, for a firm in Lagos for pittance for some few years before going into private practice.
It was rough in the beginning, but the ends is well worth it.
Just like any other professions not everyone will make it. Teachers sef even get category. |

SirShymex: So, you're very religious, no? - I like that. But you've got a big mouth on you though lol.
In as much as I don't think majority of Imams preach violence, I think Muslims need to modify their religion like Christians did. Even the traditional Churches, like: Catholic, Anglican, Methodist, Orthodox et al have all modernised their doctrines, with the new testament as the nucleus (like pentecostal churches) - and being "Christ-like" as the only way to salvation. If it had been just the old testament, like it used to be, it might be different.
Anyhoo, I believe Yoruba Muslims aren't violent - what do you think is the reason for this anomaly since you're Yoruba? At the bold: Culture Yoruba culture allows for worshipping of different deities or orishas. In a household it is not rare to find Sango and or Obatala worshippers together. This have have imbued a high level of religious tolerance within them. |

Religious extremism isn't exclusive to Islam, it exists in other religions just that it is worst in some than in other.
As someone pointed out, I do believe the liberal policies of the Western World is partly responsible.
Also, poverty can not be left out as one of the possible causes. Looking at the world map, one finds that places where religious extremism is high are poverty-stricken regions, disproportionately high number of emigrants to Europe, and unfortunately of the Islamic persuasion.
When such people gets to Europe they aren't exactly better off, which provides a fertile ground for extremist indoctrination.
I do find it annoying, as a person of a faith whose best friends are mainly of another faith, when people tags them violent. |
