EducationAn Open Letter To Lasusu President by tall2ce(op): 12:41pm On Jul 04, 2014
Mr.President(NURUDEEN YUSUF) we all know that in Nigeria today that what ever that goes up in price never comes back to the previous amount. The fuel subsidy saga that occured in 2012 when government increased fuel pump price to between 140 to 150naira from 65naira,we all knew what happened it was reduced to 100naira and never reversed to 65naira.ASUU general went on strike last year for about six months last year and they never got their fill demands and they did compromise with FG because they knew that it was indirectly affecting the students by prolonging their demands.I am not a political fan or political member of any political party in Nigeria but Mr.President you have achieved a good feat with your struggle on the school fees issue, many have commended you Mr.President for your unrelenting efforts during this struugle against the bourgeoisie and arbitrary school fees imposed on Lasu by the Governor and Lagos State Government but the local press and students and stakeholders in the educational sector have commended you for your achievements.
Mr.President you submitted a proposal to the State Government for 46,500 and 65,500 for both returning and fresh students respectively.the State Government responded by reducing the fees between 34 to 60 percent ranging from facaulties to facaulties and different levels. This was a commendable effort by the State Government. Now Mr.PREasident you are agitating for total reversal to 25,000naira after you had submiitted a proposal to the State Government for both 46,500 and 65,500.The question now is Why reversal? when you submitted a proposal before which was higher than that reversal you are agitating for now.The local press would ask questions, students would also question your stand and also criticise you about this.
Even those paying fees ranging from 191000 to 350000naira have started paying their school fees so whats the point of you continuing to disrupt our academic calendar. This year 2014 we have been in school for only 6weeks(jan 6th to jan21st)three weeks before exams proposed exam in january and (april 7th to april 29th)which was exam peroid. Many students have started criticising you knowing fully well that you had a first degree before in who knows what University, many students have started criticising you that you have affiliated links with PDP(peoples democratic party) in Lagos. We all know that the Lagos State University students Union now have 2 factions, one faction are bent on resumption while your faction is still bent on still pursuing the impossible reversal, ask Adams Oshiomole he could not achieve a reversal of fuel pump price during Obasanjo's era, this shows that when resolving conflict you give and take to reach a compromise and not this unnecessary impasse. Please do not turn Lasu into a political campaign tool.Lasu is an institution of learning and not a political campaign tool.
In conclusion if we do not resume before who knows NUC might cancel the 2013/2014 seesion and we start 2014/2015 where present 100level would be merged with incoming 100level and please do not be deceived by ASUU LASU because they cannot fight for school fees it is not a recognised as a trade dispute for ASUU LASU to do so.Mr.President am speaking the minds of 95% 0f Lasiutes please all we need is vote for resumption and non resumption by qualified students of this school of learning.Lasuites are tired of this saga,we want to resume.

YOURS FAITHFULLY
IBRAHIM SHEHU

safarigirl: 4-2-4: Enyeama.....Ambrose...Omeruo...Oboabona...Oshaniwa....Onazi...Mikel......Emenike...Osaze...Nwofor...Musa. To those asking for Mikel's removal, who do you suggest takes his place? Azeez the kid? Clumsy Uchebo? Nervous Uzoenyi? Please, humor me.
Ramon Azeez is far better than Mikel,Azeez runs better shoots, marks, make forward passes, takes on players. He had a bad game vs Iran because Mikel and Onazi bypassed him by playing long balls. He is not an attacking midfielder(role he played vs Iran) he is a defensive midfielder

SportsRe: An Open Letter To The Super Eagles by tall2ce(op): 1:10pm On Dec 22, 2013
naija noni: I agree with some of ur points. But get ur facts right before posting what u don't know.
Moses and nsofor are getting little playing time at their clubs.
But onazi ??.Echiejile ??.
I'm 100 percent sure u dont follow these two players.
Onazi has played full 90 minutes in 17 of his club's 22 games this season in all competitions for lazio. He has made 20 appearances out of 22 his club has played.
He is an undisputed regular that starts almost every game for lazio, except he is injured, suspended or rested.
Echiejile has played full 90 minutes for braga in all their games since he sorted his problem with his club and coach.
So get ur facts right.
And also Haruna and Igiebor never played at the olympics.
Haruna and igiebor played for the olympic team not at the olympics but during the 2012
olympic qualifiers

Am nt anti-mikel he just needs develop his game and stop slowing counter attacks as seen against uruguay and italy both in the second half
SportsAn Open Letter To The Super Eagles by tall2ce(op): 12:04am On Dec 22, 2013
As Nigeria prepare for 2014 world cup,I would like to point some areas that the super eagles need to improve upon and what Keshi should do for the team to help us reach the latter stages of the world cup
1.Dismiss impotent players
It would be recalled that the confederations cup was a dismal outing for the eagles, players like babatunde micheal, joseph akpala, anthony ujah, fengor ogude amongst others should have never made the team because it was a world class event that needed the best players of every national team on parade
2. Manage your players well
Stephen Keshi has always complained about discipline and he is a manager, you can't in the name of discipline leave out the country's best players the national team lacks defenders and midfielders in depth and also they are some players d coach doesn't wanna call because of what I don't understand we need capable players for the world cup nt egweke's of dis world
3.Give other players a chance
Give the likes of haruna lukman, azeez lawal.ik uche, tiago ilori a chance in your squad these are players who are on top form except for ilori who plays mostly u21 but omeruo does the same at chelsea.Haruna is all we need as a playmaker forget discipline who should manage hom well he is top notch at dynamo kiev and Azeez has been superb for almeria and also uche for villreal
4.Work on d eagles marking game
The super eagles are good and have lots of flair with the likes of moses when in possession but wen we loose d ball the marking system becomes poor this was wat happened in the confederations cup against spain and uruguay and also against italy and mexico in international friendlies.Mikel is a lazy player and he leaves the marking job for Onazi in the midfield despite forming a double pivot with him and marking must be a priority of every player when the ball is lost
5.Work on the defence
The super eagles defenders are not really top notch but on an average level the likes of ambrose has shown he can fumble on the big stage as seen in the UCL against neymar and his blunders(2 in a single game) in celtic 3-0 loss against Juventus earlier in the year.ambrose lacks defensive discipline he needs a drilling while oboabonna and omeruo av a good combo, echeijile is also a weak point with the lacks of kwambo and benjamin coming up wit their good performances against Italy the coach should give them a chance we need more players to compete with the availables players in defence
6.Don't use Mikel as a playmaker
John Obi Mikel is nt good enough as an offensive player wat we need is to use the likes of igiebor and haruna in d attacking midfield these are two good quality players who can score from long range and deliever killer pass, igiebor
and haruna played for the olmpic team and they had good understanding

7.Rusty players must be finetuned before the tournament kicks off
Players like Victor Moses, ogenyi onazi, echeijile,,obiina nsofor are much more likely to make d squad and they all have little or no playing time at their clubs Keshi needs to get them match fit to enable them perform at optimim level for the eagles to go far

Owo Lee: Mikel a passenger in the team, has carried champions league, FA cup, premiership etc
In the super eagles team also, he played vital role in winning of the nations cup...is dat not enough...
Yaya toure remains undoubtedly the past african player of d past 12months till date and check his stats and check mikel's stat. Not only trophy determines best player but indidvidual performance is the best way to measure performance

Those defenders like Azubuike Egweke is nothing to write home about very poor he is that I wonder why the likes of udoji(enyimba) and ike thankgod(warri wolves) can't make the team.I also want the likes of Mutiu Adegoke(3sc) to give echejiele a run for his money in defence and we also need a player like Haruna Lukman in the midfield because we have no playmaker in midfield.in attack we are superb and ik uche should get a call up rather than shola ameobi who I feel we don't need

Mikel has always been giving excuse to not play friendlies and Keshi always backs him even lionel Messi does not choose matches he plays for Nigeria.so who the hell is Mikel I don't think Keshi is a disciplined coach with the way he supports Mikel.

Am still a student @Lasu 300l with cgpa of 3.42 so dissapointed with my self and am very sure that the institution a person finds his/herself is also another factor. Here lecturers make 5points scarce like Gold especially when it comes to essay exams and we offer to much unecessary borrowed courses am still working hard towards 2-1 though but had it been I was in federal university I know where my stand would be.Imagine lecturers being proud of delibrately cutting a potential first class student to a 2-1 student in that student's 400l second sememster result.
