Please I hope Consular officers understand that not all schools require a standardized tests like Gre, Sat. My cousin has been admitted to George Washington University and the school didn't require any test from him. But yet still people are advising him to take a test just for embassy sake. I have clearly informed him that its not required at the embassy but he says from the transcripts he has read here on nairaland almost all applicants who answered no to the question Have you taken any tests were denied.

Was the person issued the student visa? because I learnt they deny applicants who have partaking in the dv lottery. I was actually a participant but wasn't selected but now going for a student visa.

Dear Sir,
I just received my I-20 and I found that the course I was given is difference from the one on the I-20. My course is Accounting & Management but on the I-20 only Accounting is indicated. So what program will you recommend I write on the ds160. Accounting & Management as indicated on my admission letter or only Accounting indicated on my I-20.
Secondly, if after an I-20 has been issued and a student is awarded some scholarship can I ask the school to enter it on the SEVIS database and also send me a letter confirming the scholarship? This is because I have been offered a scholarship and it is after the issuance of the I-20.

First of all I would like to congratulate you all for your excellent work here and I am really glad that this thread exist because perusing through previous posts has been an eye opener for me. I am quite in a complicated situation and I really need your thoughts and suggestions.
Am currently a final year student and in 2014 I applied for a tourist visa and I was denied. I filled my occupation then as a student in level 100.
Now I have been accepted to study a distinguished program in the US with a 70 percent scholarship. It is an undergraduate level program. So please what do you think of my situation. Do I have a chance? Wouldn't that sound desperate?

Please I have filled the ds-160 online but it seems not all the questions displayed.
Example the question " have you ever travelled before didn't not displayed, have you made specific travel arrangements didn't displayed and also the question have you completed senior high school or above didn't not displayed. After I finished filling the displayed questions I was able to submit it without those questions I mentioned. Please is it usual.v

at this point getting passport is now war naim u loss passport ehh.. Do u have a scanned data page of the passport? CUs that's wat u need to re apply for new one in Abuja.. I almost went through that that's y I know it. Hold better money everything done cost oo. I just did renewal days ago in ph for 28k wch is suppose to be 30, but I had my way. Getting passport is quite a problem now so hurry and buy your way if possible oo..

Please my ecowas passport has unfortunately gotten missing and am going for a new one. The missing passport was issued in 2014 and it will expire in 2019. Am going for a new one in January,2017. I would like to Know if the new am going for will be valid from 2017-2019 OR it will be valid for 2017-2022. Looking forward to your replies.Thanks
