I must say at first it was funny but later on I became sad. I have met some illegals personally and I wonder why people still do it. Maybe its the hope that they can apply for asylum and run away or get the asylum. I just don't know |
I can't beleive some comments here saying saying Ghanaians are ''Xenophobic''. At least since I was born ie. 1985 I have never heard of any xenophobic uprising or even any attack based on prejudice of Nigerians or any other country. Even when about 45 Ghanaians were killed in Gambia because that president thought they were 'mercenaries' Ghanaians never attacked or protested in any violent way. The only thing that is encouraged in Ghana today is freedom of speech no matter who you are, you can criticise just as they criticise but that doesn't make them xenophobic or us Ghanaians xenophobic. We are peace loving people and right from our independence Ghana has stood for African unity even when we were betrayed and mistreated. I always talk against this in my country but maybe its about time Ghana really reacted and we kick all those asses out of here then we will really known what xenophobia ills. What the hell, why do you compare Ghana to South Africa, thats so insulting especially to me when I am nice to the Nigerians I know in Ghana and really for the first time I met many, didn't even have a place to lay their heads |
Looks it may be heating up http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/artikel.php?ID=214755 Like I said its gonna cost problems |
Very interesting, I wonder what the Ghanaian authorities are going to do now. I don't support illegals but I bet I know lots of Nigerian illegals in Ghana and if the ambassador doesn't interfere like he said, very soon you will read about Ghana in Nigerian news papers too ![]() |
I have lived in Accra, Ghana almost all my life and i have had the opportunity to travel to Abuja twice. I think Abuja is a flashy place as compared to Accra, flashy mosque, church etc but i must say i never felt safe there even as a blackie. I think problem nja has is the 'system' and mantainance. After a year when i returned to Abuja, the streets were already smelling and litered with garbage. If we have to talk about size also then Abuja is very small, i can walk around Abuja in a day. I dont think security at kotoka is loose either, you have terrorist with arms going through your airports. Dont get me wrong, i am not criticising Abuja/Nigeria, i am only reacting to comments made otherwise i will have shared personal experience; two robbery attempts e.t.c Hmmm Abuja/Accra infrastructure wise i will love to live in Abuja, social/economic wise i will choose Accra and this what most of my Nigerian friends say; in Ghana they are not under pressure to impress anyone or show off. J'burg with its infrastructure, i will prefer to live in oll town Helsinki |
No reason to hate, Ghanaians are also organising trips to Nigeria this trip and have done so in the past. No reason to hate ones again. Lets love each other as Africans and promote the African agenda You can check out one www.ecotour.shutterfly.com |
For hostels check out the Salvation Army hostel at Osu, I think it is cool |
I have learnt German for 4 months and I have just completed A1, what kind of certification is given. Sounds like a scammer to me too lol |
I have been reading Nairaland for sometime and I will like to get some advice from well meaning brothers on here. I will like to get some information or advice on applying for a family reunion visa to join a spouse who is a German citizen. I am planning to get married to my German girlfriend sometime soon and as part of the requirement for securing a resident permit, I have completed the language requirement. Studying the application forms I observed questions as " What are your means of subsistence and how long you intend to stay. I will appreciate any advice from members and also if there are any requirements my girlfriend has to fulfil since she is a student at the university there. |
nana are u Ghanaian? |
No need to criticize your team so much, Ghana was just a better and its a competition, one has to win. |
