semitunde:
I would still retain oliseh though. We could see that he actually had a plan ( even though executed very poorly by the players); he wanted to do a mourinho. Draw them in and counter. It was a wrong plan however.

In the first match one could see a clear tactical play. I've observed that our players ( and any player anywhere) usually lose focus and tactical awareness more easily when under pressure. They weren't under much pressure in the first game so they followed the plan. But the more the pressure came in this match, the more they lost their composure on and off the ball.

Granted oliseh made a wrong tactical plan. But at least I could see the plan. And I could also easily say that many of the players were not fit physically, technically and mentally to carry out the plan.
Which tactical play? The one he executed by subbing the best player on the pitch towards the end of the first half? Please tell me something I don't know

It is not wrestling bro. The boys have put up real fight so far. I think nigerians should always bear in mind that the opponents are not cripples. They have come to win too. To lose game does not mean you didn't do well.
Who's is talking about wrestling here, they're playing without passion I think you need to accept that they're not good enough

Properties10 Interesting Facts About Burj Khalifa(tallest Building In The World) by taurus21(op):
The Emiratis are a proud lot...you would be too if in less than 50 years you are able to transform a Bedouin Arab desert state into one of the most important trading hubs in the world. In fact, Dubai is second only to Hong Kong in attracting merchants from around the world. One of the things that have made Dubai what it is today is their ambition in conquering the world with contemporary architecture. In order to prove to the world that Dubai is indeed in a class of its own, the city planners together with private companies came up with the tallest building in the world - The Burj Khalifa.
Below are a few facts about the skyscraper.

1. At 828 meters (2,716.5 feet) tall, Burj Khalifa is 3 times as tall as Eiffel Tower and twice as tall as the Empire State Building.
2. Burj Khalifa holds the world Records on: tallest freestanding structure in the world, highest number of stories in the world, highest occupied floor in the world, highest outdoor observation deck in the world, elevator with longest travel distance in the world, and tallest service elevator in the world.
3. It is said that the weight of concrete used to build the skyscraper is equivalent to 100,000 elephants and the steel used to construct the frame is equal to that of 5 Airbus 380 aircrafts.
4. The building design takes after the Greek flower, Hymenocallis. The name is translated as Beautiful Membrane in Greek.
5. The building was constructed by a South Korean Company called South Korean company, Samsung Engineering and Construction.
6. Burj Khalifa was built at a cost of $1.5 billion, It is supplied with about 250,000 gallons of water daily, and its electricity needs can go up to 360,000 100-watt bulbs burning at once.
7. During the peak of construction, atleast 12,000 workers worked on the construction site per day.
8. The tip of the sphere of Burj Khalifa can be seen from 95 kilometers away.
9. The tower was to be called Burj Dubai but this was changed at the last minute to honor Sheik Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, the ruler of Abu Dhabi for bailing out Dubai's bankrupt sovereign wealth fund with a $10 billion in 2009.
10. Burj Khalifa has 54 elevators which have a speed of up to 40 miles per hour.
Burj Khalifa is Dubai's pride. It signifies how far the desert country has come in short 50-years. If you are ever in Dubai, your first point of interest should be the towering tower. From its observation deck, you can see the rest of Dubai...you just need a good pair of binoculars.

Sports‘Nigeria Ranks As Fifth Highest Exporter Of Football Talents’ by taurus21(op): 3:12pm On Oct 17, 2015
A study by research outfit, CIES Football Observatory, has revealed that Nigeria is the fifth highest exporter of football talents in the world and the biggest in Africa.

The report, the eight in the CIES Football Observatory’s monthly report, which focuses on international migration in football, reveals that Nigeria’s figure of 596 players scattered in leagues across the world, is only lower to biggest exporter, Brazil (1,784), Argentina (929), France (758) and Serbia (607).

The analysis includes a record number of 6,135 clubs and 458 leagues of 183 countries worldwide.
While Brazil is the most represented origin among foreigners both in Europe (1,137 players) and in Asia (437 players), Argentina is the main exporting country at Latin American level (511 players compared to only 124 Brazilians).

The CIES Football Observatory report entitled “Exporting countries in world football” provide an overview of migration of footballer’s around the world.

It said the dataset was not precisely defined but included “6,135 clubs and 458 leagues of 183 countries.”
“18,660 foreign players of 194 origins,” representing 13 per cent of the total number of players included in the analysis, have been identified.

On regional basis, Brazil by far provides the largest foreign contingent in Asia, with Asian clubs tending to favour foreigners from outside the continent, including Africans, who are well represented in the AFC.

While Brazil dominates exports to other parts of the world, Argentina exports the highest number of players to South America, with about 30 per cent of the foreign players in the region’s leagues.

In Europe, Brazil has the largest foreign contingent (8.5 per cent), followed by France and Serbia. But the most foreigners (56.1 per cent) come from other European nations.

The body devotes a section of its report on the U.S., which shows a “marked diversification of international recruitment.
“The further development of football in the United States will, without doubt, be accompanied by an increase in transfers on a worldwide level. In the race for new talent, US teams will progressively become tougher rivals for European, Asian and South American clubs.”

Christianity EtcBoko Haram Wants To Kill Me For Converting To Christianity”–Islamic Cleric’s Son by taurus21(op): 3:52pm On Oct 06, 2015
A 35-year old man, simply identified as Raphael, has raised the alarm over threats by members of Boko Haram militants to kill him.

He also narrated how the Boko Haram sect burnt his stores, father’s house, offices, and thereafter killed one of his cousins, an undergraduate at the University of Maiduguri.

Trouble started when he converted to the Christian faith contrary to the wishes of his father, and other relatives.

“A few months after my conversion to Christianity, I received several threats and warnings from the insurgents, telling me to revert to my former religion or face dire consequences,” he told National Mirror.

“I received written threats saying I could only run but could not hide, which I took to the Police and they told me they would do something about it, but nothing was done. If they had done something about it, I wouldn’t have received the second note that said I could only run but could not hide.”

“I was born in Maiduguri, Borno State, but my father was from Oyo State while my mother was born in Abuja. Both of them had been living in Maiduguri before I and my siblings were born. My father is a Muslim, and I was born into a Muslim home. I am into buying and selling of animal skins, a business I started after my National Diploma (ND) education at The Polytechnic, Ibadan in 2007/2008, and I have so many people working under me.

“In 2012, I lost my mum to illness, and towards the end of that year, I converted from Islam to Christianity. My father and all other Muslims around the neighborhood who knew my father were not happy with my conversion, because my father is one of the leaders of the Islamic group, Nasru lahi fathi (NASFAT) branch in Maiduguri.

“I am a member of the youth association in Gwange ward, and I give them financial assistance and sometimes release my bus to them for developmental projects.

“I conducted my own investigations. One of my neighbours whose brother received the same notes because of his conversion a few years ago was killed by an unknown killer.

“My family members and I have been marked for death, and everyone in the community denied ever knowing me or my family because they said I was one of the people supporting the youth with finance and cars to protest against them and kill their members.”

Raphael, who released his image, further appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to intensify efforts so as to defeat the Boko Haram insurgents.
