Enough of all these unnecessary glorification and idolization of people in their paid profession.

na, i think the worst form of democracy is better than the best form of military regime, only buhari regime is trying to prove otherwise. The only forward development we recorded as a country was as a result democracy.
Only forward development recorded as a country was as a result of democracy. That statement is fraught with errors. Democracy is a system that we definitely cant afford in Nigeria. And don't let us start on on the spate of fraud going on already in Nigeria, both in government and private orgs. The inhumane treTment of IDPs. I mean hundreds of Northerners were killed by Boko Haram but yet people in govt - democracy govt, mind you- decided to share $2.1billion dollars that was meant to procure ammunitions to fight Boko. I mean, democracy? really?.

MosesNG:
Pls if you can tell me whether the 11bn borrowed by BMB and co wasn't out of other ordinary people's deposits, then you may actually be right but if it happens that the loan amount was from other depositors savings which it is obviously, I wonder what motivates you to support such act. 1 family which u dont belong to (sure of that) destroying the finances of a large number of the ordinary citizen's (where you belong; sure of that too) and ua okay with it. The quality of sense of an average Nigerian beats me!
Go gentle on him bro. No b senators dey climb gate just to make a point. Everything is possible in our dear country.

I doubt if you read this part The assets are being seized
following the failure of
Senator Ben-Bruce and his
brothers to settle an N11
billion loan owed Union Bank

Now it is left for Ben Bruce and companies to deny this allegations legally not on twitter
Government cannot keep on bailing out because you and i have refuse to pay our tax and if government increases any levy we all complain and remember their are lot of capital projects government must finance. For you to take loan it means you have the financial capability to repay it without help from an outsider. I'm sure the company can't close down because AMCON will transfer the company to another private investor for proper management and repayment of their outstanding loan. Even if Silverbird close down it will affect few people than Union Bank closing down due to numbers of people having their account with them including multinationals companies.
U make sense. Nice analysis.

rusher14:

You mean the man is a convicted drug felon?

Heroin not Igbo o!

Wonderful.!!
I am amazed at how some Nigerians think. We are talking of billions in Naira stolen, millions in dollars and other foreign currency of stolen money that could have been used to provide good infrastructure and job opportunties to the people. And all you could argue about is Heroin. This guy served his jail term he didnt deny. Fed govt saw he is an asset and asked for his service. For crying out loud he us good at what he does. Added to that he is fearless. Bringing up allegations that he was jailed is a distraction at this moment. Besides some people were jailed for treason and yet came out to become commander in chief. I am just saying.

FG is threatning banks

Edo state gov. is threatning PHCN

Is this goblin of a governor not aware BEDC can only DISTRIBUTE what is GENERATED to them?

Mr man, if you have issues better forward a complaint to the Department of Rocket
Science in the Federal Ministry of Darkness and stop making a nuisance of yourself.
Its either you did not read the full story or you just decided to ignore it. BEDC is charging for bills that are not incurred by customers. As I write am in Bedc office in edo state to complain of overbilling. And mind you some areas of the state are enjoying 18hrs of service per day, every day. Majority of the areas just get 3hrs per day, every day. And the shocking thing is the two sets pay almost the same thing.

Pareto principle talks abt 80/20 rule Alhaji Umar is talking abt 98/2 percent rule, which is rather alarming. And we know those set of people that make up the 2 percent. There is no such thing as commonwealth in Nigeria.

It's a fact and you can't erase it.
Every foreign and local media reports it, every historian knows it, even your regional journalists broadcast it. Maybe it's you and your community spokesman that report it as scam.
I want to say that i am no ibo but u av to feel for them. My dad once had this picture book of what transpired during the civil war. Believe it was bloody. I believe nobody should be forced into any association if he doesnt want it. Every man should live as a free man but not kept as a captive against his own will. I am just saying.
PoliticsRe: PUNCH Newspaper Rates President Buhari's 1yr In Office by tayoalone(m): 12:48pm On May 29, 2016
[quote author=bigboss80s post=46070718]I thought PUNCH was a pro-APC media outfit.
It's beginning to seem like APC was really unprepared for power.
The plummeting oil price does not help their case.
I dont envy Buhari i'm sure he doesn't envy himself.
The president has now seen that Nigeria is not as easy to run as he thought when he was criticising Jonathan.

Buhari needs to first accept responsibility and stop blaming past administrations. We elected him to fix their mistakes.

Next, he must put together a competent, credible economic team that would be respected. Unfortunately this present minister of finance has been reduced to a paymaster when she should be letting us all know the economic direction of the country under this administration.

The government is too focused on corruption that it has forgotten that it's main job is to cater for the citizens. Unfortunately even though the war on corruption has received so much media attention, we have seen few, if any, convictions.

To run a country you don't have to be the best at everything. You just need to have the best people in your team. Buhari's much anticipated team ended up being a compensation party for allies and friends. This is so true

[quote author=VocalWalls post=45740612]But they can buy cars?

What the masses suffer in Nigeria is more than the slaves did during the slave era.

That my fore-father that hid in the bush when they were picking slaves, may he not rest in peace as I am not resting in this country.

I could have been balling with kanye by now, or I could have even been kanye.

All he had to do was take some harsh strokes...

Lwkmd... There is a modernised slavery goin on nah US visa and co. You can stop hiding in the bush too... U fit stil b Kanye east
