Summary of the issue is...for me, it doesn't pick up speed quick enough when at idle or 0 rpm and it drags d gear a lil too long b4 transmitting it to gear 2. Thanks in anticipation of your suggestions. |
If u have an idea of d workshop that can check up a 2002 Nissan Xterra with computer regardiing a slow and lazy transmission gear changeover from 1 to 2. Actually, there's nothing wrong with d SUV, only that I feel the transmission is lazy in picking d higher gear. For instance, if u throttle down to move, an average pathfinder or isuzu rodeo or 1999-2000 model 4runner picking up at that same time would have gone past me (even fellow xterras of the same year model would gazz me). Could there be a reason for this laziness of the transmission? Can anything be done about this situation in terms of transmission servicing? OR bluntly speaking, am I the one feeling so? |
....The real critic(ism) is the means by which the private jets are acquired. When MoGs use all sort of gimmicks to milk the sheep in order to acquire wealth... is the real issue sir. Nothing further, my Lord!!! |
Ok, @Mosun, I didn't know that, but from my casual observations, I doubt it whether we have so many of it in Lagos. |

Hey dealers and car ethusiats in the house, Kindly help with your opinion on using a 05/06 Lexus RX 330 in Lagos and Nigeria generally. Putting into consideration the raining season in Lagos, cost of maintenance of the SUV and is it a SUV that an average SUV mechanic can handle? Why is the SUV not generally common and seen around Lag? BTW... How much can get d 05/06 RX 330 AWD currently? Thanks! toni.cann@gmail.com, 08058135536 |

My CEO Calculusx, nice one here. I 've been reading this thread for a while now without commenting and I ve no doubt in my mind that you are going places. When 'our' own too lands Naija soil by month end, you may showcase it as one of your efforts and care sown in me. I ve met several dealers but I'm yet to still understand why people like you are scarce!! Kudos!!! Am coming to your lot to check out the 4runner (that I 've been waiting for) in preparation for mine next year. God bless you, your family and business. |

I bought my Xterra 2002 model pre-ordered from US by FOLCROFT Autos (Western Av., Lagos) in February 2011. The day after it was cleared, i changed the single cell radiator to double cell and the 2 back absorbers. since then till today, all i ve done on the SUV is to do oil change (I use Mobil 1)every 3-4 months. I ve test driven it to Abuja(to & fro) and several ibadan and osogbo trips. On my return trip from Abuja, you wont believe it that it rained all the way from Gwagwalada to Ibafo/Berger in Lagos (Of course heavy and light showers) all the way and other than eating at Kabba, the car never stopped with AC on and firing on all the way. You need to see how dirty the SUV looked the next morning (I entered Lagos around 9pm)as if mud was rubbed all over it, except my wiper screens- front and back (too bad i didnt snap the pic) I felt very impressed with my Xtr with that journey. Generally speaking, the SUV is very good and maintenance cost effective, i drive it to work everyday (though getting tired of driving a SUV to the Island everyday- i get tired of cars easily), I cant really give a pass mark for the city intra-town fuel consumption rate of the massive V6 engine (its my first buy,not my first car and i dont have a steady basis to compare it with except my ol' faithful 504-lol),but i think the fuel consumption rate was very impressive for the Abuja trip as I filled the 73 litre tank from Lagos and topped it with another 15litres at Lokoja though what was left in the tank before the re-fill could have taken me to Abuja. If I successfully convince myself to sell off the Xterra by next year(hopefully), guys, what do think about getting this truck-based SUV- 4RUNNER V6 2006 model? I think it will give me the same off road performance that I am enjoying with my Xterra and also some luxury drive feel for my intra-town usage. Your candid opinion please! |

@Obua- Interest on the capital he furnished me with, but i dont want to tell you an amount so you don't second guess me in your suggestions. |
To go straight to the issue. My uncle finally promised to float me for some real business after countless meetings, crying, cajole and what-nots, lol. The promise to release the fund came with serious conditions (as himself is a badt biz guy)- some of which include, my personal monitoring and channeling of the funds in and out of my company's account (he's quite particular about the safety of the funds). However, I ve 2 friends in a business network arrangment thingy, who are into petroleum marketing. Both of them know the AGO market like the back of their hands (they used to work for a boss previously but the boss closed shop) now these guys are available (free and wont likely want to work under some1 again) and we are at an advanced stage of discussions to start petroleum marketing. Now this is where the issue now arise: I told the guys that that for every business cycle we do, there are percentages that we will use to share net profit after the initial capital has been returned and all expenses have been catered for. what percentages do you think should go to each party involved here: my uncle (major capiltalist), myself (minor capital and owner of the LTD coy to be used, will do run arounds sometimes), Guy A (owns technical expertise in the operations of the biz and will do the run arounds), Guy B (owns technical expertise in the external relations and marketing aspect to bring in the LPOs (Guy A can&will bring LPOs too) and also will run around with Guy A to do the supplies) Note, I'm not fully on field with the guys (as I have a day time job though flexible) but i ve created a risk control plan to minimize any funny contingent event to the barest level and to meet the interest committments to my uncle. So,the question is, if hypothetically, we make N100,000 for a sale as net profit, what % should go to: Financier (uncle): Myself: Guy A: Guy B: Thank you. |
@Kerriman Guy, if u re interested in the bus, call me on (08058135536). I called you yesterday severally and this morning on your 08051511572 to no avail. If you interested, call me. kerriman:Looollll! Convert? you make me laugh! I just sighted the bus myself yesterday at the Tin Can terminal after I was successfully smuggled in by my agents to view the bus. The bus will be coming out today/tomorrow morning latest, so when did we carry out the conversion? I am emphasizing the LHD feature for marketing purpose only, most of these types of buses that come into Naija come as ''righty'' and costs have to be borne to convert them, but in the case of this one, IT CAME AS OUR USUAL 'LHD' HENCE NO FURTHER COST! Hope you got the angle in which I'm coming from now. Bros, like I said earlier, come up on the price and let's talk. |
